"Happy birthday, Devon!" Addilyn exclaims as she steps out of her Jeep and a four year old boy bounds up to her.

"Addi!" He squeals in reply, latching onto her left leg.

Addilyn smiles, shutting her car door and walking up the sidewalk. Throwing the front door open, Devon immediately lets go of her leg and rushes off to join the other kids.

"Aunt Kendra?" She calls out to the suddenly empty entry.

"In the kitchen," her aunt shouts, her voice muffled by the walls between them.

Setting Devon's present on the dining table, Addilyn enters the kitchen, grinning broadly at the sight of her favorite aunt.

The older woman immediately pulls her niece into a hug, careful not to get any flour on her. "I'm glad you could make it."

"I wouldn't miss it for the world," Addilyn answers, jumping onto the only empty space on the cluttered counter. "Do you need any help?"

"Not in here," Kendra decides, her raven haired curls bouncing as she looks around the messy kitchen. "Will you go see if your uncle has made any progress with the bouncy castle?"

"Yeah."

Addilyn slips out the back door and her ears are instantly met with the screams of multiple tiny humans. In the middle of the backyard, amidst all the streamers and balloons, sits a large green bouncy castle.

At least ten children are already in it, from what she can see, along with a familiar looking adult.

Rushing over to the castle, Addilyn pokes her head through the entrance flap.

"I see you got this thing set up on your own," she calls out to her uncle, who appears to be just as, if not more excited than the kids to be bouncing around.

"Oh yeah," Uncle Ben declares proudly. "Join us."

Not needing any further encouragement, Addilyn kicks off her sandals and scrambles inside. She's careful not to hit any kids as she jumps around.

Turning her back to close the flap, she's immediately tackled to the floor of the castle by multiple kids.

"Are you seeing anyone?" Her aunt asks as Addilyn sits down at the island to eat a slice of cake.

All of the kids, including Uncle Ben, were still distracted by the bouncy castle which left Addilyn and her aunt alone in the kitchen.

"Not currently," she responds curtly. "Why do you ask?"

"No reason," Aunt Kendra shrugs her shoulders, refusing to make eye contact. "Simply curious."

"You're never just simply curious," Addilyn probes, slightly worried about her aunt's motives. "What have you done?"

"Nothing!" Aunt Kendra denies, her voice a little too loud. "But I may have mentioned your relationship status to Renee. She has a son your age."

"Uuuuuuuggggggggggghhhhhhhhh," Addilyn wails dramatically, dropping to the floor.

"IT'S ABOUT TIME!" Aurora yells, sprinting out the front door of the Why Don't We house with a stuffed panda clutched to her chest. "Come on! There's people you need to meet!"

Addilyn chuckles, allowing herself to be pulled through the threshold by Aurora. Going down the hallway, Aurora comes to a stop in the middle of the living room.

"I found this thing on the side of the road," she jokes, gesturing to Addilyn. "Can we keep her?"

"You already have a puppy," Jonah laughs.

Aurora sticks her tongue out before redirecting her attention. She points at the three strangers sitting on the couch.

"The poodle haired shithead is called Jack, but I affectionately refer to him as asshole and jackass," Aurora begins. "The girl next to him is Callie, his girlfriend, and the loner on the edge is Daniel. You've already met Carmen, Zach, and Jonah."

Addilyn waves to the new people before noticing the absence of a particular blond. Carmen smiles knowingly.

"Corbyn is in the kitchen," she informs her. "Right around the corner."

"Good to know," Addilyn says. "It was lovely to meet you three but I'm going to go scare Corbyn."

Without waiting for a reply, Addilyn guides herself into the kitchen, where she spots Corbyn standing at the fridge with his back turned towards her.

Sneaking across the hardwood floor, Addilyn pokes his side, shouting, "BOO!"

Corbyn shrieks in an undignified manner, whirling around to face her.

"Did you see your reflection again, Blondie?" Aurora shouts from the living room.

Corbyn's scowl disappears as he realizes who had scared him.

"When did you get here?" He asks, a smile brightening his features.

"A few minutes ago," Addilyn informs him, sliding into a seat at the island, already making herself at home.

Corbyn's grin broadens at how at ease she already is before grabbing the ice cream container he had dropped.

"Ice cream?" He asks, reaching for bowls from the cabinet.

"Of course."

Addilyn watched as he quite literally dances around the kitchen, humming a song to himself. Handing her a bowl of chocolate ice cream, Corbyn takes the seat next to her.

"So," Addilyn begins. "Tell me, Corbs, about why you live with four other guys."

"Technically, I live with four guys and two girls," Corbyn informs her. "But, it's because the guys and I are in a band."

"A band?" Addilyn asks, cutting Corbyn off in her surprise.

"Yep," Corbyn replies, smiling as though he expected her reaction. "We're called Why Don't We."

"That's original," Addilyn chimes in. When did you start this band?"

"About a year ago," the boy answers after thinking for a moment. "One year and two months ago to be exact."

"Okay, Mr. Technicality," she teases, finishing her ice cream.

"That's enough about me," Corbyn decides. "How long have you lived in L.A?"

"I've lived here my whole life, actually," she replies. "By the way, I hope you're not upset about Aurora and I getting us banned from the aquarium."

Corbyn laughs. "Nah, I fully expected it when Aurora suggested going in the first place."

It's quiet for a few moments as the two get lost in their thoughts. Addilyn begins to fiddle with the spoon until Corbyn speaks up.

"I had fun with you today," he states. As an afterthought, he adds," and I'm glad this crazy family hasn't scared you off."

"Don't worry," Addilyn reassures the blond. "It takes a lot more than today's events to scare me away."

"Does that mean you're willing to hang out with me again?" He asks hopefully.

"Mr. Besson," she smiles, "are you asking me on a date?"

"If I said yes, would you agree to one?"

"Absolutely."

"I HEARD A YES!" Aurora yells, prancing into the kitchen, effectively scaring both of the teenagers. "JONAH, GET IN HERE! SHE SAID YES!'
