MY TWO CENTS:

@moviehead_always4 is one of my favorite authors here on wattpad. i had already read her peter parker series (which will most definitely show up in this book at one point) when i started reading 'the winter warrior'. i can easily say it is my favorite of her works.

anna rogers is a character you immediately root for. in this book, she becomes a hydra operative instead of bucky barnes. she's the underdog. in some ways, she's a perfect blend of steve and bucky, but she has her own personality, too. her similarities to her brother and boyfriend make their relationships super strong and enjoyable to read about. i love anna's sarcasm and her quiet strength.

a small detail that i love is the contrast between bucky and steve in how they adapt to the modern world and how they interact with each other. i think the author was able to capture their spirits and characteristics extremely well throughout the story. their characters didn't suffer just because they weren't the main character.

this book is also near and dear to my heart because i was fortunate enough to collaborate with the author in it. if any of you have read my 'trust me' trilogy, then you're familiar with america evans, my OC of those books. america appeared in 'the winter warrior' and anna appeared in the 'trust me' books. i loved working with @moviehead_always4 on these books and i think the end product was better than i could have imagined.

'the winter warrior' loosely follows the mcu storyline, but there are moments added in by the author, which are generally my favorites. i don't want to spoil anything, but my favorite moments were the fluffy scenes between anna and bucky. the author really has a flair for writing these soft moments, and anyone who knows me knows how much i love romantic fluff.

if you're looking for a marvel fanfic with a strong yet relatable OC, action riddled with humor, and a whole lot of james buchanan barnes, then 'the winter warrior' is for you. the story is definitely plot driven and the soft moments are what really bring this story to the next level.
