but, they also kind of have to finish school first.

MY TWO CENTS:

this is literally one of my favorite stories on wattpad. every time the author updates, i drop everything and read. siriusly! (haha, i made a joke, get it? no wonder i'm still single).

anyway, let's talk about what i love in a more specific way than ALL OF IT.

cleo is such an amazing character. the author hasn't made her a mary jane, aka perfect heroine who can do no wrong and always gets the guy. her character arc was slow and steady, but she's definitely changed for the better throughout the story. cleo suffers, she falls to the ground, but always manages to pull herself back up to fight another day.

her dynamics with the canon characters are amazing, too. i love the relationship with sirius as both of them struggle with having feelings for each other and problems at the same time. it's definitely a slow burn romance, so be aware of that. i also love cleo's sibling-like friendship with remus and lily, as well as her friendships with non-canon characters, too, my personal favorites being skander and luna.

one other thing. the author is a master of writing emotional scenes. this book has made me laugh, cry, and feel more single than ever.

if you're looking for a heartwarming marauders fic with lots of angst and animal puns, then this is the book for you. "brightest" has really dragged my heart through the mud. it's such an emotional rollercoaster and i know the ride isn't over yet.
