I looked around at all of the tanks surrounding me. When will this field trip end?
     There's only 3 days until summer vacation, until no more school and my graduation. Surely I'd miss my friends, but that's what growing up is. Freedom to go where ever, when ever without parents telling you what to do. But until then, I'll make the most of my time with them.
I look down at my phone, and I notice Victoria, who's practically a sister to me, ended our conversation on Kik because she saw something weird. I wondered what could be so weird in her house? I've seen everywhere and never noticed anything... whatever it is, she'll be fine, she's tough, and knows when to stay away from something. She'll be fine.
I look around at my friends. Since the whole 12th grade is here, all of my friends are here, besides Victoria who lives about 2 hours away, so at least I still have them.
I see Marie and Caitie walking towards the bathroom, Frederick and Russel, or Freddy and Russ, looking at tanks, Nikki, Kora, and May all standing around the vending machines waiting for their snacks, and next to me on the bench I was sitting on was Louis, the boy I've had a crush on for so many years, yet never had the guts to tell him how I really felt.
As he sits there, staring off into the distance, I take a good look at him. He has short, dark brown hair that just barely reaches his forehead. Chocolatey brown eyes, and a sharp jaw. Dreamy, to me at least. Other girls are just going for the 'popular' guys, trying to get their way to the top, to be the most popular girl in school. Yet I doubt they could ever become more popular then Nikki, boyfriend or not.
She is 5 foot 6 with long, dark brown hair which is usually twisted into a ponytail braid. She has large, dark brown eyes and perfect teeth, provided from the grueling years and years of braces. She does cross country and was faster then every girl in school as a sophomore. We've been BFFs since day one of first grade. I don't deserve her, yet here I am.
I get up to go get a snack and see Nikki, but all of the sudden a man bumps into me. I turn to look at him, but he just whispers in my ear, "Go round up all of your friends as fast as you can and head to that door." As he points to a metal door on my left that is slightly open.
  "Wh-" I start to ask but the man cuts me off.
"Don't ask questions, think about how I know about the things that will occur very soon, or think why I told you. You look like a very trustworthy young lady, just like my daughter was. I wish you luck." the man says.
And then he's gone.
  "What was that all about?" Louis asks me.
     "I don't know, but I'm going to go get everyone."
     "Ok,"
I tell Nikki, Kora, May, Russ, and Freddy to come join me and Louis over by the wall, and they come.
Then, the tv's playing the informational videos start to crackle and become static.
  "The apocalypse is starting. Warning, the apocalypse is staring in 10, 9, 8..." a female robotic voice announces.
I hear people nervously laugh. I hear people asking things like 'is this a drill?' or 'are they joking?' nervously.
I open the door and usher all of my friends inside, hoping that we would be alright if this isn't a joke.
  "7, 6, 5..." the feminine voice announces.
My friends get inside.
"4, 3, 2..." is what I hear as I scramble in behind them. I close the door and bolt it shut.
"1. The apocalypse has begun." is the last words I hear from the robotic voice.
And then I hear the sirens and screams as I black out.
