(Prof. Ginger's pov)

I sat outside with Annie, waiting for our rescue crew to return. within a few moments we saw the boys trekking down the road with a young lady who looked to be in pain.

(Mona's pov)

it hurts so much. I don't know how much longer my body will hold out before I break again. Damn Crowe for doing this to me.

(Climber's pov)

Mona looked hurt really bad. she was limping slowly behind us and breathing awfully heavy.                    "Spoiler, we need to stop. There's something wrong with Mona"                                                                            "Ginger's lab is just down the street, he can take a look at her" he replied without looking back.            "Spoiler!" Mizuno yelped from behind us. when we turned around, Mona was lying on the ground soaked in blood and gasping for air. Mizuno had her head in his lap while he searched for the wound causing such distress.

(Mizuno's pov)

I don't understand what's happening. Mona is bleeding severely but there is not one wound on her. How could this be possible? Prof. Ginger came running to assist us seeing the situation we're currently in.  He carried Mona to the lab so that she could be treated.

[short time skip]

(Prof. Ginger's pov)

I finished treating the girl's condition, but she has a lot of explaining to do.

(Mona's pov)

I woke up in what seemed like a hospital bed. I was wearing clean clothes that I don't recognize. Leo's voice rung from across the room and pretty soon I was met with a group of people. some I recognized, others I didn't. A man with shoulder length red hair wearing a lab coat and glasses spoke.                         "My name is Ginger, I am the one who fixed you up. My wife, Annie, is the person who gave you those clothes."                                                                                                                                                                                              "Thank you both for your generosity" I said looking at them.                                                                                       " I'm afraid however, that you have some explaining to do. Apparently your own childhood friend didn't know that you're a biomech android" he said sternly, gesturing towards Leo. I let out a sigh, I knew this would come up eventually. moving to a sitting position, I took a deep breath.                             " Alright Leo, where should I start?"

(Spoiler/Leo's pov)

Mona pat a spot next to her and asked me to have a seat. The others left the room to give us some privacy. I was genuinely confused about this entire situation and now I'm scared to know the truth.

(Mona's pov)

" Leo, do you remember my operation, the one you were killed for?"                                                                                                                                                                                                      " Of course, what about it?"                                                                                                                                                      " I died that day. Dr. Crowe turned me into his lab rat. The same thing was done to me as he did to you, only he took his time rebuilding me. I barely escaped and was forced by my family to move away to Crater City where I would never see them again. I was disowned by my family and dropped off at an orphanage. when the world went to hell, the only person I had to rely on was the warden who treated me as if I was his own. years go by and I was still trying to live life to the fullest instead of just surviving the night. Then fate landed me in that tree, and well you know the rest."

(Spoiler/Leo's pov)

I slowly took in what Mona said. It made sense. It doesn't matter to me what she is, as long as I don't lose her again. she is all I have left and I'm all she has left. we need each other now more than ever.
