NORMALCY WAS NOT something prevalent in the life of Zhao Daiyu. From birth, she had never felt the warm embrace of a mother, and she was built off the crime infested alleyways of Guangzhou, China with nothing more to call her own other than a father and her gang of friends.

Change weaves its spiderweb in Zhao Daiyu when she leaves all she knows to find what she always lacked — A mother. What she finds is a boy in her stead who is the last remaining visage of her, and through him Zhao Daiyu finds what becomes both the solace and the condemnation of her teenage years.

Sometimes, she wishes she had never cared about the trivial things she couldn't covet. Maybe then, her world would've stayed the same until her dying breath.
