Rebound, But Newfound {17}
“Tommy.”
I groaned and swatted at whoever was shaking me.
“Tommy!”
They shook me harder and I turned and buried my face in my pillow, grunting at them. I heard a sigh and then my covers were being yanked off me. I gripped my sheets as two people ripped me away from my bed, dragging my sheets with me.
“Wake up!” my brothers yelled at the same time, shaking me and dropping me to the floor.
“Ow! Way to break my fucking ankle,” I growled, propping myself up on my elbows and looking down at my ankle. It had been fine yesterday during the date and now it was starting to smart.
“You didn’t even hit your ankle you dork. Now get up. Mom and dad have an announcement,” Mikey said, offering me his hand.
I took his hand and he pulled me to my feet and threw my clothes at me. I changed quickly and ran a hand through my hair.
“Is mom pregnant?” I asked as we started down the stairs.
“Ew, she better not be. Then again Tommy, your room is closest to mom and dad’s,” Sammy said and grinned at me. I made a disgusted face and shook my head at that thought. Gross. Old people sex.
“I’ll push her down the stairs if she is. The last thing I want is another little sibling,” Mikey grumbled, shaking his head.
“Yes Mikey, because the oldest sibling is such a genius that he’s in the same year as his little brother,” I said sarcastically.
Mikey blushed. “Hey! I had to have surgery when I was in the second grade! That’s the only reason I got held back!” he whined defensively.
Sammy and I snickered and Mikey mumbled death threats to us. We went into the living room and sat down on the couch together, Sammy and Mikey starting to argue with each other. Those two were always fighting, and they tried to drag me into it.
“”Boys! Stop fighting!” mom said, coming into the room and rolling her eyes.
Sammy and Mikey reluctantly stopped fighting as mom and dad sat across from us. Mom sighed and shook her head at us.
“Anyways, this family meeting is actually just for Sammy and Mikey about senior year. I just wanted them to get you out of bed, Tommy. You were sleeping in too long,” she said with a small smile.
“Aw mom no fair!” I whined.
“Sure it is Tomcat. Now you can go hang out with Zeke,” dad said with a shrug.
“Yea Tommy, you can go hang out with Zeke,” Mikey said smugly, waggling his eyebrows at me. Sammy rolled his eyes, shaking his head in disgust. He hated the fact that I was gay. But I was still his little brother, and I knew he loved me.
“Don’t forget the condoms,” Mikey called as I stood up.
“Michael Frances! Thomas James!” mom snapped angrily. Mikey and I snickered as I gave a short wave and hurried outside.
I limped my way down to Zeke’s house, my ankle severely bothering me now. I rang the doorbell and waited until Zeke’s dad let me in. I made my way up to Zeke’s room, moving slow because of my stupid injured ankle.
I let myself into Zeke’s room and he looked over in surprise. “Tommy,” he said happily, motioning me over to his bed.
I tried to walk casually, but my ankle burst into pain and I stumbled. Zeke jumped up and caught me before I could fall to the ground.
“Tommy!” he cried in concern.
He helped me over to his bed and we sat down together. “I’m okay. I tripped,” I lied calmly, despite the pain.
“You’re a liar,” he growled, searching my eyes carefully.
“You’re probably right,” I said with a shrug. “Big whoop, I’m a liar, liar shorts on fire.”
“Pants, Tommy. It’s pants on fire,” Zeke said, rolling his eyes.
“Whatever. Pants? Shorts? Both things I want to strip off of you,” I said with another shrug.
“You’re such a pervert,” he said, leaning forward so that our lips were nearly touching. “You dirty, dirty boy.”
“Maybe I should take a shower. Care to join me?” I offered.
“A tempting offer,” Zeke said, leaning to press our lips together.
I ducked away, smirking. Zeke grinned and tackled me back on the bed playfully, nibbling at my neck. I wrapped my arms around him as he brought his head up to press our lips together.
“Zeke Baker!”
Zeke jumped off of me and gave me a shy smile at his dad, who was standing in the doorway. His dad rolled his eyes and stepped into the room.
“How’s your ankle Tommy?” he asked.
I shrugged. “It’s fine,” I lied easily, earning myself a look from Zeke.
“It’s not fine. Tommy Warren’s a liar,” Zeke said, sticking his tongue out at me.
“Zeke, maturity. Anyways, why don’t you two go outside and do something? It’s too nice to be inside today,” Mr. Baker said.
“Challenge accepted,” Zeke and I grumbled at the same time.
Mr. Baker gave us a stern look and pointed. “Outside! Go!” he commanded, watching us as we grumbled more and left Zeke’s bedroom. We went out to Zeke’s backyard and he helped me onto his trampoline. We laid down together and he held me in his arms, kissing my cheek.
“I love you Tommy,” Zeke whispered.
Oh how I loved hearing that.
“I love you too baby,” I said, kissing him deeply.
“I love how you’re two years younger than me, and you call me baby. I think my pride is hurt,” Zeke said with a pout.
“I think your pride will recover,” I said, rolling on top of him.
The trampoline bounced us, causing me to accidentally grind on Zeke and earn myself a slight moan from him.
“Don’t do that,” he gasped.
“Do what?” I asked innocently, moving so that the trampoline bounced us into another grind. Zeke whimpered and gave me pleading eyes.
I laughed a little and rolled off of him. He grabbed me and pulled me into his arms, giving me a playful glare.
“Trying to excite me when you damn well no my parents can see us from the kitchen…you bad boy!” he chastised, kissing me gently.
“Oh, blow me,” I said. “Literally,” I added thoughtfully.
Zeke smirked. “Maybe,” he said seductively, kissing me. I deepened it, licking Zeke’s bottom lip. He opened his mouth, allowing my tongue in. I rubbed it up against his, my hands crawling under his shirt. He shivered as my cold hands slid up his warm skin.
“Parents,” he breathed on my neck, a smug look in his eyes.
“Sir, you are an asshole,” I said as he got off of me. He pecked my lips and pulled me into a sitting position. I moved myself into his lap and wrapped my arms around his neck, kissing him again and loving the feel of his lips on mine.
“Since we’re stuck outside and you can’t walk around, what do you want to do?” Zeke asked after a few minutes of comfortable silence.
I shrugged, resting my head on his shoulder. “I can walk around,” I grumbled. Well no, I couldn’t. I would fall down. But Zeke didn’t need to know how hurt I was.
“Whatever helps your pride Tommy. But since I won’t let you walk around because I know you’re too hurt to do that, what do you want to do?” Zeke asked, tightening his arms around me and kissing my cheek.
“What is there to do?” I asked.
“We can go on over to coach’s house. He’s having dinner for all of us tonight. He sent a text around. We can help him set up,” Zeke offered with a shrug.
I pulled out my phone and realized I had never turned it on. I nodded at Zeke after turning on my phone and receiving the message.
Zeke helped me off the trampoline and told his parents where we were going before getting in the car. He took off towards coach’s house.
I paused thoughtfully, realizing that Kory would probably be there with Trace. I glanced at Zeke and tried to force out bitter and jealous thoughts. Oh, this should be fun.
