//Plan Commence//
It was November 2nd, 2045. The day before Norman's shipment date. Y/n scaled up the wall, landing on the top.
She was finally going to meet them.
The week after Ichika's shipment was spent discussing the plan. Y/n explained everything she knew about Grace Field house- although she avoided going into much detail about the outside world so as to not risk discouraging them. On the 27th of October she completed her first inspection- with Poppy, the most athletic of the bunch. They scaled the wall together- rather, Poppy made it to the top of it then helped Y/n stumble up it. She was athletic, sure- but she didn't have the size or maturity that both Poppy and Reina had.
They then figured out, by walking along the wall, that they are in Plant 2- the plant to the left of Emma, Norman, and Ray's plant. A few days later- so as to not raise suspicion, she went with Reina to find the place that Emma's leg is broken- and finding a good viewpoint from the wall so they can watch it without being caught.
Y/n then spent a few days writing and rehearsing word-for-word what she was going to say to the other plant's kids- god knows she'd panic and say either incredibly offensive or incredibly stupid sh*t without it- while she continued planning with the other 5.
They began slowly sneaking supplies little by little and building lots of rope using spare tablecloths and bedsheets, much like Emma, Norman, and Ray. And then, yesterday, the question Y/n had been delaying was brought up.
"What about the others?"
Chris was the one to ask in the middle of one of their meetings. All the other kids looked to the ground, but Daisy, who seconded his question. Y/n hesitated. How many more could she actually bring? She was stuck between a rock and a hard place.
"I'm not sure if we can bring any more..." Y/n spoke softly, as if wishing the words didn't have to leave her mouth. "Maybe 2, at the most..." Daisy, Hannah, and Chris' eyes all widened.
"Only 2?!" Daisy exclaimed. Hannah looked like she wanted to yell, but refrained from doing so. Chris looked dejected and afraid of needing to choose. Poppy and Reina seemed to be the only ones to grasp the situation.
"Who would trust us without proof, quickly, and would be a great asset?" Reina asked. Hannah gasped.
"Reina, you cant talk about our siblings that way! We can't choose between them!" She shouted.
Poppy looked dejected as she responded. "We have to. We can't bring just anyone. Even Y/n said. We're going to join up with other escapees from Plant 3. It's already a big group."
Chris looked as if he had something to say, but he withheld it, staring at the ground again.
"Well..." Reina began, inhaling as if to delay what she said next as much as possible. "I think Hayato would be a good addition." Hayato was the black haired kid who helped with breakfast on Y/n's first day- that she remembered, at least. He was 10 years old and had an average score of 296.
"Wha-!!" Hannah began, but was quickly interrupted by Reina.
"He reads a lot of books about the outdoors and knows a lot about identifying safe plants and stuffs! He's levelheaded and calm even in extreme situations! And last week he actually showed me some morse code he found in some books-" she continued with her points as Y/n's eyes widened. She should find Minerva's adventure book...
"Well, if Reina thinks we should bring Hayato I think we should bring Niko!"
"You're only saying that because she's your friend!"
"It's the same for you, Reina! You only want to bring Hayato because you're dating!"
"I-I don't want to have to choose between our siblings..."
"YOU TAKE THAT BACK, HANNAH! WE AREN'T DATING-!"
The group of children's sense of reasoning was depleting as they argued.
"ENOUGH!" Daisy shouted suddenly. "I DON'T WANT US TO ARGUE-" Her face was starting to stream tears as she sobbed. "I-I have friends I want to bring to, but we can't bring everyone, and I understand that!" She continued. Everyone shut up as she cried. Chris rubbed her back and gave her a hug while Reina and Hannah apologized quietly.
"Let's give Hannah a chance to speak. And then Chris?" Y/n offered. Chris nodded slightly and Y/n sighed. You know things are going to hell when Y/n is the voice of reason... although she supposed that the 8 year old had the most reason amongst all of them...
Hannah then explained how despite Niko not having as good scores as all of them, Niko was really quick-witted- and good on her feet. She'd also been helping mama with first aid and has been proven to be really good at it. She was also really pretty and kind- which might serve negotiating with the other plant well.
Chris then explained that it was probably best to keep it down to the 8, reimbursing Y/n's original point. He then asked about the morse code Hayato found, which allowed Y/n to explain about Mr. Minerva's adventure books.
In the end, they decided that Niko and Hayato would serve as the best additions to the group after all.
And the final 8 was formed. However, Y/n wanted to use the 2nd of November-the day before Norman's shipment, and when Emma's leg is broken- to finish explaining to them- and to make sure that they believed them.
That night, Niko and Hayato were told the truth about Grace Field house. At first they were in denial- at least Niko was, but after a lot of prodding they decided to leave their decision until after witnessing the next day's events.
Now, back to the original topic, the day of the 2nd, Y/n went with Poppy, Niko and Hayato to the clearing. Hopefully, if she got the timing and day right, they'd arrive experience the whole scene between Isabella and the 5 cattle children without being caught.
Y/N'S POV
Poppy helped me up the wall, and I in turn helped Niko and Hayato up. Niko gaped at the giant cliff that surrounded us. It definitely seemed to help with the convincing of the truth... I led the three of them to the place up on the wall, out of view from where everyone would be.
We had been waiting for 10 minutes when Hayato muttered. "How do you know they're going to be here?" He asked. I sweat a little but calmed down before answering.
"A hunch." I said quietly. Niko gaped at me and Poppy and Hayato sighed, but none of them completely got tired of my bullsh*t and left, which is always a good sign. All of a sudden I heard the crunching leaves of an approaching Norman and Emma. As soon as they saw them they gasped slightly.
"Holy sh*t-" Hayato began- Poppy slapped him upside the head for swearing,
"He looks just like you!" Niko finished his sentence as I hushed them.
Emma then stopped at the tree and climbed up it, fishing the rope from inside and jumping down. The three of us watched as they looked to one another before suddenly turning to where they came from. I made sure I was in a good position to shut up Hayato and Poppy looked ready to shut up Niko, from the sideways glance I gave her. I warned her that we may see something terrifying in advance- and she didn't question me, thankfully. The two protagonists on the ground muttered to each other before Emma tossed away the rope- but I didn't need to hear them to know what they said- courtesy of watching this episode more times then are likely good for my health.
The other three beside me gasped almost silently as a distant Isabella emerged from the trees.
"That's their mom." I said just quiet enough for the other three to hear. They all gave me a silent nod to show that they heard and understood.
We were far away enough to be just able to hear their conversation. We all watched silently as the scene unfolded- Everyone's eyes widened as Isabella referred to them as 'the children meant to be food'.
Me, the fangirl I was, was only experiencing screech drawbacks, which resulted in quivering, trembling, shivers, and hasty swallowing.
I shivered when Norman said, "I'll quit being a good boy.", but I started preparing myself for what came next. Emma went running at Isabella, tried to grab the pocket watch, and...
"CRACK"
The sound of Emma's leg and the wailing that followed sent shivers to my bones as Ray, Gilda, and Don appeared on the scene. I looked to Poppy, Hayato, and Niko and saw Niko's face was pale and her eyes were closed, Hayato's teeth clenched, and Poppy's eyes wide with shock.
I found my own fists clenched and released them, trying to calm myself down. I love you, Isabella, but really? I so want to punch you in the face right now... Alas, I had to stay undercover.
"You can welcome tomorrow safely." Isabella finished "...Congratulations, Norman. Your shipment date has been set."
I quickly checked on my companions once again. Poppy looked like she was going to puke, Niko looked like she was trying to comprehend a bit too much, and Hayato looked like he wanted to yell.
Going well, going well.
Ray and Isabella talked about Norman's shipment and Emma's leg. She picked up Emma and began walking back towards the house.
"Come. Let's go home."
