"Hey, Violet... what about that boy?" We'd finished gathering all the information from 'Marvin's' bed and had finished re-explaining the lack of human villages, Ray expressed his curiosity of the other boy.

"Oh, you mean Adam?" Violet asked. Remembering what occurred shortly after this I waved and walked up to Adam, following him around like a dog trailing after its owner.

"Hello!" I exclaimed towards the massive boy. He looked to me originally unemotionally,  until he caught sight of my face which bore so much resemblance to Norman's. "22194...22194...22194..." He began repeating, gesturing to my neck. I feigned surprise and exclaimed "Oh!" I covered my mouth in shock and fell backwards onto my but. Ouch. But it was an important part of my acting.

"What's up?" Ray asked as he and Violet approached.

"He-he just spoke!" I exclaimed stupidly. Violet raised her eyebrows.

"What did he say? Did he say actual words?!" She asked curiously.

"No... he just said..." I gulped, turning to Ray. "22194..." I muttered.

"Oh." Violet said boredly. "Same as usual, then." But Ray's face was that of shock. He was sweating buckets, his fists clenched.

"...A coincidence..." He murmured, his fists clenching and unclenching again.

"...it may be a coincidence but he said it after seeing my face- and then he began pointing to my neck..." I said, pushing myself to my feet. Ray and I shared some intense eye-contact.

"I don't get it." Violet stated, out of the loop. "What's the issue?"

I looked at her and bit my lip. "22194 was the number of one of our comrades who was shipped out, who happened to look a lot like me..." I murmured. When I looked to Ray I wondered if speaking further was a good idea. Could he react impulsively and decide to storm Lambda instead of focusing on the 7 walls like I explained to him? But I decided to put my trust into his sensibility this time and continued. "You don't think..." I began, Ray looking at me in interest. "Maybe Adam is from the Lambda farm?" I said, looking between Violet and Ray. "His symbol isn't in any of the books we looked through..."

"The what?" Violet asked, but I waved her question away with a quick explanation.

"An experimental farm." I looked to Ray once again. "Do you think it's possible?" I asked him.

"It's a possibility..." Ray said, grabbing his chin in his thoughts. "But it's too likely to be a coincidence for us to rely on it." He finished, calming down a little. I released a pent up breath. Maybe this was the right idea after all.

"But we can still allow ourselves to hope... that he's still alive?" I phrased it like a statement but asked it like a question. Ray nodded.

"For now... but we shouldn't get ahead of ourselves..." He murmured, stuffing his hands in his pockets. I smiled.

"Good idea. But I have one more thing I want to try." I bent down to Adam and showed me my neck which read 20294. Adam responded by stopping his repentance of Norman's number. He looked extremely shocked.

"...94? ...2...20294?" He spoke as if questioning his own memory. He reached out his hand as if to touch my face and suddenly recoiled. He shook his head slightly, almost as if twitching. "22194." He said once again, this time more sure of himself. "22194." He said again, gaining reassurance the more he spoke.

I smiled. "Thank you Adam." 'this pretty much confirms if for Ray- that what he's saying is in fact an identification code from Gracefield farm- and is also belonging to Norman specifically, judging by the recognition that was palpable on the boy's face.

I shot the gun, hitting it right in the center of the hanging target. A low whistle came from Sandy. Beside me Ray achieved the same result, only with a sniper from a long distance rather than a hand gun. I gave him a high-five, quite close with him now after our day and a bit away from Emma and Yuugo.

"We're done with our part of the preparations." Zack announced as he approached.

"And you?" Sonja asked, looking to Ray and I. "Did you two find some suitable weapons?" She asked. I nodded.

"Yeah!" I'd found some hand guns that I could handle with my high-agility but lower strength- and, thankfully, I'd found a bunch of throwing knives, which were basically on the same level as the one's in the shelter. Suspecting I'd be taken to Goldy Pond, I'd taken the second-best pair rather then the top-notch ones which were also in the armoury.

But Sonju's knives- the seax and throwing knife he'd gifted me... they were long gone. I bit my lip once again as I remembered their loss.

"Feeling bad for loosing the knives?" Ray asked, breaking into my thought.

I blinked in surprise. "Y-yeah." I answered, shaking my head in amazement. "How'd you know that?" I asked as the others conversed.

Ray rolled his eyes. "You wear most of your emotions on your sleeve." He said, his eyebrows raised in amusement.

Ray and I turned our attention back to the group of 9 who were conversing about their plans.

-----

I warned everyone as soon as we received our food. "We need to be ready soon." I announced to everyone nearby, Theo Jake and Monica all eating together- after my plan had somehow managed to succeed. 4 children were still killed at the end of the day, however.

"What are you talking about?" Gillian asked curiously. "The music played just a day ago! It wouldn't play today!" She exclaimed, seeming to laugh at my ignorance.

I grinned thinly. "I have a hunch." I said simply.

"A hunch?" Zack asked, raising his eyebrow in disbelief.

I looked to Ray. "I had a hunch about where his friend's leg would be broken, where and when he'd be chased by pursuers, the existence of Yuugo, the existence of Lucas and his connection with Yuugo, Adam and his connection with Norman, and I have yet to be wrong yet, don't I?" I looked to Ray for conformation.

Ray sighed, rubbing the back of his head. "Don't forget your hunch about Goldy Pond-" He added, thinking of more, "And your hunch about the added unlocked information we'd get from the pen once we arrived at the shelter location, and your hunch about the genuineness about Sonju and Mujika..." He began counting them off of his fingers- my 'hunches'- which were actually simply things I already knew from reading them about the manga.

Sandy whistled again and Nigel's spoon clattered to his lap.

"A-are you sure you can't see the future??!-" Sonja exclaimed.

"No, it's just luck." I laughed.

"...I'd say 'luck my ass', but I have no proof of that...yet." Ray sighed, taking another bite of his food.

Now it was my turn to drop my spoon. "You actually think I can see into the future?!" I exclaimed, now seeing him for the superstitious idiot he was.

"In a world of demons, you can never be too certain." Ray eyed me dangerously as he sipped his soup.

I growled. "You're just a sore loser-!!" I exclaimed, draining my food.

"HAAH-?!" Ray exclaimed after finishing his own. "AS IF I'D EVER LOSE TO A 10-YEAR OLD!"

"A TEN-YEAR OLD?!!" Everyone exclaimed, surprised by my age, but I was too busy rolling up my sleeves to fight.

"YOU WANNA GO?!" I yelled, standing up.

"WHAT ABOUT YOU?! SCARED?!" Ray himself yelled, standing up.

"ME? SCARED OF A SELF-SACRIFICIAL-ARSONIST LIKE YOU?!" I yelled louder, pointing a finger at his face and looking up to him, just barely making it up to his neck.

"HAAH?!" Ray exclaimed again. "THAT WAS ONE TIME!! AND AT LEAST I DIDN'T TRY TO EAT RANDOM BERRIES GROWING IN THE SIDE OF A CAVE-!!" He shouted, bending down to accentuate his height difference over me, his face now inches from my own, yelling in my face.

"Ok, lovebirds, calm do-" Oliver began, but before he could get another word out Ray and I turned to him simultaneously.

"WE'RE NOT LOVEBIRDS-!!" We yelled, hopping away from one-another instantly, pointing an accusing finger at the other.

Everyone sat stalk still and silent for a moment before suddenly bursting out in laughter.

"SHUT UP-!!" Ray and I roared simultaneously before turning back to one another. "YOU SHUT UP!!" We exclaimed in unison once again. I gritted my teeth. "Why you-"

At that moment the music sounded out, distracting me from the one-eyed idiot to the current situation. I cussed. I shouldn't have gotten distracted, dammit.

"THE POACHERS ARE COMING!" I yelled, Oliver adding in right after.

"EVERYONE GET YOUR WEAPONS AND GET INTO POSITION!" Oliver yelled, flinging his hand in the direction of all the weapons.

I ran towards my own weapons, my bandaged hands stinging, my head a blur of thoughts, until they all merged together, forming one single thought;

"I'll win. In Emma's place. For the sake of everyone here...for myself... and for the simple sake of wanting to punch Leuvis in the face."

(A/N: Lmao another eventful chapter. (I'm being sarcastic) But tomorrow I'll make sure its action-packed and get a lot written!)
