"Are you wearing pads? Lemme see~" Leila caressed Carla's back and long sleeves checking her pads within it.

"Mom, I have my butterflies inside, I don't need pads at all..." Carla pouted as she let her mother checks on her.

Even though she has her mystical abilities, Leila can't help but be worried about her daughter. This feeling as a mother, she didn't know she would feel this...

Did forgetting her past really changed her? There's part of her that doesn't want to believe nor can't imagine between both... But her actions and feelings say different.

Is this what her mother felt like before?

' What did my mom felt when I killed my brother? ' Leila shook her head, ' As if they felt anything except hatred towards me. No, they might be somewhat proud... as they raised me well~ '

"Huh," Leila scoffed which confused her daughter. Leila sighed, "There's no telling your mark would work every time, I can't help overthink especially when I'm not around. Here--"

Leila gave her a phone and hid it under Carla's dress. "It's connected to my phone number and account, don't worry about the load, I'm sustaining it every month. You can use it however you want, as long as you can use it for emergencies too."

Carla tilted her head, "Ma, keeping the phone attached to our bodies will ruin our health. Especially in legs or tummy, it'll ruin my ovary and make me go infertile, I learned it by reading."

"Don't you have butterflies to heal now and then?" Leila smirked, "I just want you to have that in case you can't use your abilities. And don't show it to anyone, especially Annalisa."

Carla pondered and thought her mother was right, she can keep herself heal, it won't ruin her health at all. "Alrighty, mama~ Thank you~"

"Mwah~" Leila kissed her cheeks, "It has internet data too, you can use it alone and play games or learn new stuff."

Carla glistening at what her mother said!

From her previous timeline, Carla used the internet when she was in her late teens, hence all the kids at school already tease her for that. However, using the internet wasn't free as much as everyone else, she must do something for Annalisa before she could use it for few minutes.

Through the internet, instead of learning new things, she watched what was popular but her eyes found a gem... It was reading manhwa, manga, novels, and even watching anime and dramas.

Unfortunately, with her time-limited, it wasn't enough to be updated nor watch nor read everything she wanted.

As far as she knows, the internet became popular in their country just around this year. It was a life-changing year that changes people all over the world.

And right now, her mother gave her a phone with internet for free! She could finally support her favourites authors and creators from the very beginning!

This is much better than television!

"Thank you, mama! This means a lot to me! Thank you so much!" Carla leapt and embrace her mother from excitement!

"Oh my!" Leila was startled but embrace her back, "It seems you like it too much!"

"Like it? I love it!" Carla gave her kisses all over her face.

"I'm glad you do," Leila smiled and was freed by her daughter's embrace, "Now, it's time for us to work..."

Leila walked towards Kai in the bed and carried him. "We're going to work now, don't forget to be careful alright?"

"Yes, mama," Carla nodded and kissed Kai. "Have fun at the office, Kai, don't forget to behave and read alright? Mwah~"

"We'll see you tonight, Carla," Leila caressed her daughter's cheeks, "Seriously, just tell me whenever you need me, I can stop everything if you want me to."

Carla snuggled on her mother's hand, "I know, mama, I am still fine and I can still do this."

Leila walked out of the room while carrying Kai as he's waving at his sister with a chew toy wearing a poker face.

Carla closed the room door for them seeing they left. After locking the door, she went to her bed and use her phone.

"There are still apps that don't exist yet, bummer...  Let's see what they have..." Carla used her morning free time to check the internet and gets used to her new phone.

Unfortunately, as the internet is still new, it only has limited sources, apps, and even knowledge yet. "This is boring... When will they create a writing app, even the pirate sites are still not here! But---"

Carla's mouth went wider as she smiles, "Anime already exists! Though it's hard to find the current site, this will do! Yes! Nyaah~ Even the old but legendary anime are here! I can finally catch up! Waah! I miss this!"

As Carla enjoys her time, someone did not.

Seeing Leila brought Kai to the office, Claude felt bitter inside. His wife already has their children's time and pamper, and now she brings a baby at work! "Hmph!"

"Hmm? What's wrong?" Annalisa touched Claude's shoulder and asked.

"Does she really have to bring Kai to work? Wouldn't he be bored there?" Claude scoffed.

Annalisa shook her hand, "Kai must have missed his mother so much, it's natural. I think Kai is a mama's boy, especially now that he's still a baby. It's fine, Leila knows what he's doing."

Claude didn't want to understand hence he walked away and went inside leaving Annalisa in awe.

Though Annalisa doesn't mind, however, something is bothering her with Leila's decision...

' I was planning to take away both Leila's children, did I acted rashly? It seems Kai is still too young...'

' I should be careful for now how to treat Carla...'

' And focus on what I came here for... '

' Hang in there myself, soon I won't need to please them all... '

Annalisa took out her phone and sent a message.

Meanwhile, Alicia saw what happened and stops to stare at the car leaving. "Mama?"

She pouted as she didn't understand why only Kai did their ' Mama ' brought to work.

Alicia thought she has two mothers but her playmates which are Carla and Kai took one away from her and forgot about her...

She felt frustrated by an unknown feeling... again...
