Thanksgiving
Has been
A hard pill to swallow

Always in bed
Always in my own head
And then by a miracle
From above
I became better

I am blessed
Grateful
Honored
Humbled
Speechless

To move on
This path
Of recovery
With a song in my heart
And extra pep in my step

Today
Was thanksgiving once again
And I was and am
Blessed

I am grateful for
My microscopic family
Mickey included
My real life friends
My online friends
Support groups

I am thankful for
Every breath
Every step
Every moment
I have

To explain how I feel
