Operation; Start!

"The mission will start right now!" Akinari announced as everyone began pulling out their weapons. Sub machine guns, revolvers, pistols, sniper rifles... the amount of guns were endless. Some untraditional weapons like Cana's daggers also existed, but the majority was the dangerous firepower of guns. "Operation Tornado; steal the lunch tickets. Everyone ready? Good! Operation; Start!"

It was sundown, and the pom girls were already at the gym, setting up and stretching. Akinari has simply been prepping everyone else to begin the mission, and a heated cry of resounding agreement overtook the room. Dashing out of the meeting room, everyone began to run towards their assigned stations.

"You excited, Saiko?" Cana questioned as the two ran side by side. They would have to split up soon enough- Cana was positioned near the entrances while Saiko was by the bridge, alone. "I sure am!"

"Yes! Saiko's excited for her first mission!" Saiko grinned, as they finally reached the front of the gym. "Goodbye, Cana!"

"Bye, Saiko! Be safe!"

Continuing her descent towards the bridge, Saiko jogged along with her pistol in hand. Finally reaching her destination, Saiko took a deep breath. It was her first mission, and while there wasn't supposed to be much action from Saiko's station, she was alone, and the excitement was starting to turn into nervousness.

To Saiko's relief, nothing showed up after about five minutes. She remained alert, however, her blue eyes wide as she clutched her pistol with tension.

She had only closed her eyes for a moment when she heard a swooshing sound. Frantically, she glanced around wildly, but caught no one. She began to wonder if she was hallucinating when she heard footsteps ahead of her.

"There are no shows to be held after curfew without the teacher's permission," Akuma's brow raised as she stared at Saiko. It was just the two of them as Saiko had been assigned to a part of the surveying area alone. "Please stay out of my way while I dismantle the show. They are breaking school principle."

It was indeed Akuma- with her long fiery red hair and her eyes that called for blood. Her uniform was darker than everyone else's, and her giant black wings were present once again.

"Well-" Saiko had to think fast, or else the whole operation would be ruined. Her gun was trembling in her hand, yet as she saw the red haired girl, she couldn't bring herself to fight. She needed to think of something, fast. S-Saiko thinks you're breaking school principle?"

"What?" Akuma asked, her dark wings unfurling from her back. Her eyes immediately darted down to look at her uniform, with her black blouse unbuttoned and stockings up to her thighs. "I-I'm breaking school principle?"

"Y-your whole outfit," Saiko explained, gripping her gun tighter. If she didn't shoot, Akuma was just going to fly right over her and into the show. She had to stop her. "Saiko remembers that school clothes must not be revealing-"

"That was n-not my intention!" Satsuki's eyes glanced down at herself for a moment before landing on Saiko again. "...do you really care whether skin shows?"

Saiko hesitated, unsure of what to say. Saiko didn't really care about what she had just said, yet Akuma seemed bothered by Saiko changing her statement. From how the Anti-Demon Militia described her, Akuma did not waste time talking and was extremely violent. Yet, the girl in front of her was fussing over something as trivial as her clothes.

"...Saiko doesn't care," Saiko shrugged after a moment. Akuma stopped picking at her skirt curiously.

"You don't?"

"Why should Saiko?"

"W-Well...I'm glad to hear that," Akuma replied, further solidifying the idea that Saiko had of Akuma not being so bad. Yet, Akuma had killed Cana with no remorse. Even though Cana had come back because no one could die, Saiko could imagine that it had hurt a lot. "...S-Saiko, I-"

Before Akuma could continue, her dark wings propelled backwards as bullets pelted her wings. With a growl, Akuma stared at Saiko as she realized that the conversation had been meant to deter her.

"Guard Skill: Distortion," Akuma muttered, and the bullets went right through her. Her wings folded in, damaged and she sprinted straight towards Saiko. All she did was stare, her blue eyes wide as the redhead neared her. Yet, Saiko watched as Akuma ran right past her, vaulting towards everyone else. She saw the panic of the Anti-Demon Militia, saw Rin darting around with Cana shooting her in vain, and she knew she should join. But she couldn't bring herself to harm Akuma, and she wasn't sure why.

All of a sudden, little pieces of paper sprung from the windows of the gym, falling like snow from the sky and everyone stopped fighting her to collect it. Akuma scowled, walking away ferociously as Cana ran towards Saiko.

"Come on, Saiko! Grab as many as you want!" Cana said gleefully, as she held up her own. "They're lunch tickets. Sometimes we buy our own, but other times... Operation Tornado is just so much easier."

"Oh," Saiko smiled. "Well, Saiko's happy."
