Koda was less then enthusiastic for the photoshoot, she used to love modeling before her parents ruined it for her. The way they pushed her didn't grow her love but crushed it into a fine powder.

She had packed up when her mom and stepdad  appeared in her doorway. "Are you ready to go?" Her stepdad asked as he looked at her though harsh eyes. "Yes." She replied sharply , showing she was in no mood to converse with the man but they never cared for what she wanted.

She would be going to the Gibson household to get picked up with Summer. Koda was biking towards the residence when she noticed a certain blonde she didn't care for and a pink haired boy she was growing fond of.

"Hi." Her soft voice caught Baxter's attention, Wren watching the small smile cross her brother's face. Her eyebrows furrowed some as she realized how Baxter was truly starting to feel for the girl.

"Hey bear." He said with a sweet smile sent her way. The girl got off her bike, leaning it against the tree. The Radic boy walked over towards her, wrapping his arms around her waist in a hug, making the girl blush a soft pink color.

Wren decided to play nice so she gave the girl a smile. "Hey Koda, ready for the trip?" She asked in a happy tone as she walked closer, once Baxter let Koda go the two seemed equally confused as Wren pulled her into a hug. "Uh .yeah." Koda hugged her back send Baxter a look but he simply shrugged his shoulder

"Hey." Summer had said, sending Koda a questioning look as Wren finally released her when she noticed that Ari had walked out with Summer so in the natural, jealous manner she has Wren walked up to him and wrapped her arms around his neck to give him a kiss.

Summer couldn't help but roll her eyes but a soft smirk crossed her face when she turned back towards Baxter and Koda, to see Baxter wrap his arms around Koda's stomach, the girl turning a bright red.

"I um..I'll be right back." Koda stuttered out nervously as she moved Baxter's arms around her as she hurried inside. Baxter was watching after her but Summer was looking at him. "You should tone down the whole touching thing. It makes her uncomfortable." She told him as she folded her arms across his chest. "I didn't mean to make her feel uncomfortable."

"I know, she probably knows that too. She's just to sweet to tell you that. She likes you, that's for sure." Summer smiled at how bright his eyes seemed to light up with the idea of Koda liking him. "You think so?"

"I know she does. If she even tolerates your touch you are good enough for friends but she never turns that red." Summer chuckled, she thought of how her friend wouldn't even let Ari or Marlon hug her like that, hating when they touched her ribs and stomach yet she moved Baxter away gently.

When Koda returned the blush had faded from her cheeks and the Subtropix car pulled up. "Ready?" Summer asked happily as she waved by to her mom and the Gibson's. Wren hugged Ari and Baxter before getting in the car.

Baxter caught Koda's arm before she got into the car, hugging her before letting go since none of her family were there to bid her farewell. "I'll see ya." He said softly, brushing his hand across her cheek as her face heated up once again. She hated how easily he would get her to blush but she just gave him a timid smile as she got into the car, both Summer and Wren looking at her with some sort of excitement with what was happening with her and Baxter.

A Subtropix car picked up the girls to go to the Byron Bay photo shoot. Wren was in the front with the driver. Poppy, Summer, Koda and Bodhi on the back, the four girls sort of squished together but they didn't mind. Wren had her phone out recording. "We just got to Byron." She said, the girls behind her cheering. "And we're coming up now to the beach." Wren put the camera in the back more to show the other three. "Oh, my God! It's gorgeous." Poppy said with a grin. "Whoo! We're in Byron, baby!" Summer said enthusiastically, Bodhi now holding the camera. Koda has been to Byron Bay before but she never wasn't amazed by the beauty that it held.

When they pulled up to where they would be staying there were a few young men standing outside, dressed in uniform. The girls getting out of the car, Wren going up and hugging Molly who was standing by the door. Koda giving the woman a smile as she looked around at the house, Poppy looping her arms through Koda's, pulling in inside with her.

When they walked through the house they would be staying in they moved to the back, Poppy lowering her sunglasses when she saw the pool. She gave a excited squeal, causing Bodhi to laugh as the Poppy pulled her and Koda along now. Koda laugh. "Only dolphins could understand you Poppins."

"Wait, is this whole place ours?" Poppy asked as they explored the halls. "Guess so. Whoa" Summer replied to her friend, looking around in amazement.

Wren turned around to look at the three since she was in the front. "So, guys, on the last shoot here, I saw two Hemsworths. It was pretty good." She said happily once they reached the living room. Koda wrinkled her nose slightly, she would never understand the obsession people had with the Hemsworth brothers. "Let's get a video." Bodhi said with excitement, being the influencer she was born to be. "Go for it Bodes." Koda sent her a smile as she went and sprawled out on the couch to rest, closing her eyes.

"I'm checking out the fridge. I bet they got some good stuff in there. Ooh! Fancy fizzy water!" Poppy told them, making a beeline for the kitchen. Wren walked over to Bodhi, taking her hands to lead her. "The Ocean Room has such a good vibe. And waking up with the sun is so nice." She said as the two girls left the room.

"Yo, gift bags!" Summer said with a slightly laugh as Poppy made her way back over. "Anyway, Sum-Sum...room service or pool?" She asked making off her sunglasses. "Uh..both!" Summer said with a grin on her face. "Okay. Come on!" Poppy followed after summer. "Let's do it." The girl said happily.

Poppy and Summer were lounging by the pool when two of the workers brought them the room service that they ordered. "Summer Torres, I challenge you to be nice to Wren while we're here." Poppy told her sitting up on the chair to look at the American girl. "Why is it on me to keep the peace?" She pointed to herself as she asked the question.  Koda had changed into one of the bathing suits that were available for them that fit with the photoshoot. A open flannel covering her shoulders.

"Well, because it's my first photoshoot too and I really need it to go well." Poppy said in a slightly pleading voice. "Challenge accepted." Summer's voice sounded disappointed as she said that. Poppy holding out her pinky, Summer wrapping hers around it. "I can't wait for this to be over." Koda said as she sat down on one of the opposite chairs.

"What? How could you want this to end?" Poppy asked stunned as she turned to look at Koda fully. The Hawaiian girl shrugged her shoulders slightly as she pulled her legs up into the chair. "It used to be fun but since my mom married this man it's...it's awful now." She said with a soft sigh. "I used to love modeling but I rather be surfing " Summer looked at her with understanding eyes, she knew that Koda must have things rough and she wished that she could help her.

"Seriously, I never get sick of staying here." Wren told Bodhi as the two walked towards the pool, Bodhi recording on her phone. "Oh, my God!" Bodhi said in awe. Wren looking up at her with a large smile. "I know, isn't it beautiful?"
"It's so pretty!" Bodhi was looking around with the largest grin, seeming like a child on Christmas. Koda finally regaining a smile when she saw the joy this brought to Bodhi, a feeling they both used to share.

Wren looked at the phone. "So, this is our saltwater pool, guys. In here is the Subtropix area. Shout out to Subtropix for sponsoring this video and taking us on this trip. We're loving our new threads. And I'm so excited to have my bestie by my side. She just such a beautiful soul." Summer and Poppy shared a look at that, the first girl standing up and walking closer to the pool as Wren started talking again. "This is Bode's first Subtropix trip. So she's basically-" but she was cut off.

"Cannonball!" Summer yelled as she jumped in to the pool. Making Bodhi and Wren turn quickly when they got splashed. "Let's go! Whoo!" Poppy cheered as she jumped into the water. Bodhi and Wren laughing some. "Get in already!" Poppy shouted at them, the two girls laughing then jumping into the pool. Koda laughed as she took the flannel off, Wren's smile fading some as she watched the other girl jump in.

The girls were getting ready for the first photoshoot. "Okay, maybe this foundation instead." The woman said as to Poppy. Bodhi glancing over with a slight discouraged look on her face. "Sorry, I don't think any of them are gonna match my skin." Poppy told her, looking a bit uncomfortable.

"This one should work." Bodhi said, passing over a foundation she had. "Thanks, Bodes." Poppy looked over at her with a greatful smile that Bodhi happily returned.

Summer was looking through the clothes that hung up, picking out a dress. "Wren, this'd look so good on you." She said with a smile, passing it over to the blonde. "Oh, thanks. Yeah, it is really cute." She smiled back at Summer.

Summer gave Poppy a thumbs up the girl giving her a smile of approval. "So, I reckon we can scrap that...but this is more the vibe that is right. Those looks are all totally sick. So, we're set up at the beach. When the girls are ready, just send them down." The photographer was telling Molly. Summer went to Poppy, giving her a fistbump. "Told you I can play nice."

Koda walked in after spending some time separate with another make up artist, she was moving with a small limp and a look of pain on her face. The other four girls shared concerned looks but Poppy was the one who realized first that they had put makeup over her stitches to make it look like there was no shark bite.

A sort of angry look crossed Poppy's face when she saw her friend in pain but Koda locked eyes with her and shook her head no, it wasn't worth it .

"Easy, okay. We will hustle," Molly told the photographer as he walked away. "Cool. See you down there." He replied. Molly hurrying towards the girls. "No biggie, just the best surfer photographer in the country. He's gonna make you guys look even more incredible!" Molly gushed. Koda had met Dice once and he made her feel uncomfortable and frankly she was hoping to never have to work with him again.

"So stoked."Bodhi voiced her excitement for this opportunity. "And I've collected some editorial looks to go with the mood boards I sent you?"
"Ah! Okay." Molly nods some, pulling up her phone to look. Summer walked over to see the pictures, smiling broadly. "Um..beautiful. Yes! Yes! Hard yes from me, Bodes." Summer said walking into front of Bodhi, placing her hands on her shoulders.

"The braids will stay in place in the surf and that makes it easier for the hair stylist and better for my hair." Bodhi added once Summer walked away, her attention going back to Molly. "Look, I love the enthusiasm. I just.. I don't think we have time to pull off something so elaborate. And you know, the concept for the campaign is 'Boho Paradiso'. Your current vibe is such a natural fit. Let's just stick to what works and go from there." Bodhi's smile faded as Molly explained.

A woman walked up to Molly with a phone in hand. "HQ wants am update." She whispered as she passed the phone off. "Hey. Dice just signed off on wardrobe so we're ready to go." Molly said, Summer going back to Bodhi, rubbing her hand softly, Koda walking to her, hugging her shoulders before placing a soft kiss to the top Bodhi's head before moving out of the way. The hair stylist walked up behind Bodhi, looking at her hair. "Oh, my God! There's just so much of it! It's wild!" Bodhi and Summer shared a disbelieving look.

"Alright! Guys, let's get started. To set the scene, it's the 90s. Byron is still a secret surf spot and you guys are just frothing to get out there, okay?" Dice said as the girls got together. "Where do I look?" Poppy asked in a whisper.

"Look right into the camera. Shoulders back." Wren explained to the girls to help them out. Dice noticed that and pointed to her. "It's Wren, is it?  Alright,  you're my superstar. So, come take a few steps forward. Left shoulder to me, open it up a bit. Big smiles.."He instructed as he knelt down, snapping a picture.

"Alright, I'll get you two back to back. Okay?" As he spoke Wren and Bodhi moved into that position. While Koda may not get along well with Wren she liked doing photoshoots with her because so far she wasn't the main focus. Koda was doing her small poses with Poppy and Summer in the background.

"This is the girls just wanna have fun moment. Okay? That's it. You're best friends. Smiley, smiley! Just tilt your faces up for me." He snapped photos of the two girls as he instructed them. "Okay, sort of half smile. Yes! Great!"

Summer was whispering to Poppy, the girl nodding some. Summer and Poppy  walked to the side and grabbed one of the surf boards. Wren and Bodhi looked towards the two with a smile.  "Girls, I love it! Bring the boards in! Yes! Absolutely!" He turned the camera towards Summer and Poppy. Wren losing her smile.

"Drop a shaka!" He told them. "Alright." Summer said happily as she did the hand sign, sticking her tongue out. "Yes! That's exactly what I'm looking for! Yeah!' He snapped photos as Summer pushed her sunglasses up, Poppy turning to the side. "Get these pretty eyes." Summer said as she repeated the hand sign, back to back with Poppy. "That's really good. The camera loves you. That's exactly the vibe we need. Yes!"

"Glad you like it." Summer said with her usual confidence. Poppy leaned the board against her back, leaning forward slightly as Koda leaned on the other side of it. The photo was cute for the two best friends.

Wren looked towards the man. "Do you want me to go in the middle?" She asked, not liking that summer was stilling the attention. "In a bit. We'll just get this shot first and then we'll talk about it later, okay? Awesome, Summer! Awesome. That's great!  All eyes to the camera."

Molly walked over towards them. "Koda, can I borrow you. We got a bikini or two we would like you to model." She told her, the girl taking a breath as she nodded and followed after her to change.

By the time Koda got back a good amount of pictures were taken. "Everyone match Summer's energy!  Just like that. Yes!" He snapped photos as they all did a shaka. Summer grabbed the pink zinc and did a line on each cheek for the next photo. "Alright girls y'all take a break I'm going to get some of Koda."

The four didn't complain as they new that Koda wasn't just someone they sponsored, she was a actually model for them and other companies so she would be needed a bit more then them.

They moved to the side but where they could still watch her pose. Dice walked over and laid down a surfboard. "Lay down on that for me." He instructed and she followed the instructions. She said down, head tilted slightly up and towards the camera, her hair fanned out around her.

A few snaps were made with the board and without but then Dice decided to move her into the water. "Kneel right there, hands up in your hair." She did as he asked,the picture looked sexy but she didn't want to be marketed as sexy. "A little more arch please." Koda tried to follow suit but apparently not to his standard.

He moved towards her, grabbing her side and moving her into the position. It wasn't uncommon for photographers to help models into the desired position but she was still creeped out. "He shouldn't be touching her." Summer said angrily but Wren grabbed her wrist before she could get down there. "She's okay, they are both professionals."

And yet this was only the beginning of the shoot.
