TW: Abuse mentioned and Eating disorder mentioned

It was the first day that the girls got back from Byron Bay, and the day that Koda was finally able to get away the two days beforehand had been hell, her parents not holding back any longer with their anger and rage

Shimming out the window was the last thing she thought she would be doing that day yet there she was. Koda's bedroom window opened as she winched to get through the window. As her stomach starched against the frame she bite hard on her  lip to keep any sounds from coming out.

As soon as her feet hit the ground she took off running towards the Gibson's house, a place she knew she would be safe. Her lungs and ribs screamed for her to stop and she was tempted to just give up but she couldn't. She wasn't a the type to give up.

Koda walked quickly inside, pushing open the door. Summer stood in the kitchen with Ari and Wren. "Ice." Koda managed as she looked eyes with Summer.

The young girl trying to get her breathing back to normal after the quick get away as well as the injuries she sustained. Summer looked confused but grabbed two ice packs that was in the freezer door.

Summer stopping by the bathroom to find a wrap, she could see how Koda held her arms out, not wanting to touch her sides. She followed Koda into Ari's room, Ari and Wren following close behind.

Once Koda reached the confines of the room, she pulled off her shirt, reveling the bruises that littered her torso. Summer froze in the doorway once she saw them, her jaw dropping open slightly.

With the young American girl stopping so suddenly Ari and Wren ran into her. Ari heard Wren gasp so his eyes went towards Koda. Anger and sadness was all that he felt as he looked at the black and blue marks.

The three piled into the room after her, Summer gently placing a ice pack on each side of her ribs, she moved slowly to make sure she wouldn't hurt her.

Koda looked up and noticed Ari's eyes cast down as she tried not to make any sounds of pain. "It's fine Ari...it's not like you haven't seen me in a bikini before. You can look at me."

"That's not the reason and you know that Ko..." But his blue eyes finally looked up towards her, the edge of his eyes shining with slight tears. What shocked Koda was when she looked at Wren, the blonde girl looked distraught and ill seeing her like that.

The bruises, how thin Koda is..it all was a lot for Wren. That's when she remembered. Grabbing Ari's arm she pulled him to the side. "Bax is on his way. When he sees this he is going to flip." She whispered to him. Ari nodding slightly as he glanced towards Koda.

"Hello!" Baxter's voice called. "Shit, usually when he says he's almost here we have ten minutes." Wren sighed as she walked towards the door.

Summer started to wrap up the ice packs to hold them in place, earning a small cry from Koda as she tried to shy away from the cloth. That definitely caught Baxter's attention.

Wren opened the door right as Baxter got to the room, she pulled it closed behind her. "Hey." She forced a smile though she seemed pale.

Baxter looked at his sister confused when he heard another sound of pain from inside. Everytime he tried to walk around Wren she would step into his way. "Wren move." He spoke sternly as he placed a hand on her shoulder making sure she didn't move back into his way.

He opened the door and froze, it felt like a bucket of cold water was dumped on him as he looked at her. The bruises peeking above the bandage used to wrap the ice packs.  Koda's eyes going to him.

Baxter walked closer, his eyes flickering over her. "Who did this to you?" He spoke so softly to her though some anger was clear in his voice. Koda for the first time since running from home felt the tears, the exhaustion. The question made her think back to the previous days.

Koda looked at him, her face not changing but a tear slipped down her face. His face softened when he saw that but soon it changed to shock as Koda moved towards him. Her arms wrapping around him.

Summer, Ari and Wren all exchanged glances. Some joy came from the tragedy. Koda clung to Baxter, a rock in her life. After a moment his arms wrapped around her, holding her close to him.

"What happened Firefly?" Baxter asked softly as he ran his hand up and down her back in gently movements. "They got mad about what happened at Byron Bay." Koda told him as she kept her face against his chest. Wren's face fell when she heard that, a guilt shining deeply in her eyes.

"You're parents did this?" Ari asked shocked. He knew they were tough on her and very strict and rude but he never thought they would physically hurt her. She nodded her head some. That's what made Baxter pissed.

How could they hurt her? She was so shy, nervous and sweet. He doubted she would hurt a fly and yet her soul and spirit was being broken down.

"They won't hurt you anymore." Baxter told her as he put his arms around her waist, leaning to rest his head against hers. "I'll steal you away, you will come and stay with me.' he spoke sweetly to her, making her wish that was the truth.

"Let me go get you something to eat Ko." Ari told her as he doubted she had eaten anything with all that's been going on. "I'm not hungry." She replied, instant, habitly.

"You have to eat something. It will help." Wren added trying to help out not only Ari but Koda, now everytime she saw the bruises she was reminded that it was her fault they were on her. "No, I'm good."

"Koda, you have to eat. When did you eat last? You have t-" Baxter started but was cut off by Koda, shoving away from his chest. "You don't understand, so just drop it!" She snapped, getting frustrated that no one listened when she said she didn't want any food.

"Then make me understand! Tell me what's wrong, I want to help you Firefly." Baxter placed his hands on her shoulders. Summer was looking at her sadly. "I think I understand...they don't..they don't let you eat do they Koda?"

"I'm a model I need to be skinny, I need to watch what I eat,how much I eat." She said exhaustedly as she looked over at her,like she was saying something perfectly normal.

"You are beautiful Koda, you don't need to do all that. You're skinny, you are Pa-" he stopped himself, he didn't want to tell her that she was so far past skinny you could count some of her bones.

"Just rest." He finally settled on, glancing towards Ari who gave a small nod. The pink haired boy leading her towards the bed. She laid down as he pulled the light blanket over her. When he turned to leave her fingers locked onto his.

"Don't leave me." Koda said as she avoided looking at his eyes when he faced her again. He gave a small smile as he laid beside her on the bed. "I'll be here." He promised as he wrapped his arms around her. "as long as you need."

Summer nudged Ari and Wren, motioning towards the door. The three walking out to leave Baxter and Koda in peace as she laid relaxed in his arms.
