Part III: Chapter 1

Google: how to not feel sick after eating 3 different cakes in 2 days. My sister just got her gcse results and she likes cake a little too much. I on the other hand, don't think I can look at cake for the next month or so.

I've been getting writers block again- and fr some reason it keeps on happening on the 5th chapter on each part. So wish me luck that I find my sanity and actually think of how to write again.

This chapter is gonna be pretty light-hearted for the most part and we are going to properly introduce a character who has made a small appearance but I wanted her to be in here properly.

And have we finally, finally surpassed 100k words!!!!! No wait I just checked. We're sooo close noo!!!

Anyways, welcome back!!!! The long awaited Part 3!!!!! We're finally here!!!!! Are you excited? I am. Today, let's have fun okay.

............

"This time, I have returned completely," she looked down to where Felix and Adrien were sitting, both sets of eyes wide open, one with pure mirth, the other with a hint of confusion, "I hope you did not cry too much," she reached her hand towards him.

Felix snorted as relief set into him, "Too bad. He cried like a baby," he looked at his brother and realised, "Why are you still crying?"

Adrien pouted as he sniffed, wiping away at his wet face, "I'm not- I'm just- they're happy tears- oh, do be quiet brother," he said as he took her hand.

She pulled him up, and he was pleased to realised it took her no effort to do so because just like all those years ago, her strength matched his. In fact at this moment he believed she was possibly even stronger. Her energy was fully unlocked, having been built up in her for years inside her body. Now it wanted to be let out, it wanted to be used. After being pent up inside her without an exit, now was it's chance to be exerted in the way it was meant to be.

She was back.

His Ladybug was back. And looking better than ever.

Her clothes had changed, though not too much. The hole that had been made by the sword which had slashed through her was completely gone and any stain of blood had disappeared, even the stains on himself and on the floor which she had bled out on had just... vanished. Her dress was sparkling, however. Being doused in her energy which had been unleashed, it made her sparkle and glow all over like she had been blessed by the sun.

As soon as he was up, he engulfed her in her hug, breathed in her very soul, took in the energy which she was drenched in.

Without her, it was like he had lost the ability to breathe. He couldn't focus, he couldn't think of anything that should have mattered. Because all that had mattered was that she wasn't there. It wasn't like last time, where even without her physical presence, she still managed to be there in his heart and his mind as his voice of reason and sanity. This time, he couldn't even hear her. Not her voice and most definitely not her heartbeat.

But now, he could take the biggest breath and feel more clear headed because she was there. She was actually alive and he could hear her heart and her voice and every little movement and gasp and flicker she made as he hugged her tightly, wishing for this moment never to end.

"I'm sorry for making you so sad my love," she whispered so neither of the other two could hear.

He shook his head as he buried it in her neck, "It doesn't- It doesn't matter," he sniffled, "It doesn't because you are here now."

Still whispering she nodded, "I am. I'm here and I won't leave you ever again. I promise," she pulled away and looked at his face, smiling at him. Happy. Relieved. Content. They were almost there. Almost. She released him and spoke when his features turned to confusion, "Give me a moment okay. I just need to tie up some loose ends."

She pushed him towards Felix, silently thankful for the sudden influx of strength in her and quickly created a bind that would hold the two brothers together.

Adrien sputtered, "What- Marinette-"

She looked at Felix and nodded at him, "That binding should last until I get back and remove it myself. Take him home. He's had enough for today."

He gave her a two finger salute, understanding and frankly agreeing with her demands, "You got it Princess," when Marinette raised her eyebrow at the sudden nickname he shrugged, "What? Would it be better to call you my Queen?"

Adrien gaped at his older brother before scowling, "Stop it! She's mine!"

Amused, Felix looked at him, "Jealousy. So unlike you."

"Actually it's more common in him than you think," Marinette laughed.

"Are you two mocking me?"

Felix shook his head as Marinette waved at them, turning his stumped brother towards the portal. Right before the two of them stepped inside Felix answered, "Of course not little brother. Why would we do that to the great Lune Supre-OW- Adrien! Stop being so childish!"

Adrien stomped on his foot angrily in retaliation before he turned his head to the side to catch her eye. He frowned, sad that he would have to be away from her for longer, especially when he was still in the midst of figuring how he felt about her short death which ended in her prominently coming back to life. But he guessed she told him to go because she knew he needed time to collect his thoughts before they saw each other again. Besides, the both of them had some things to deal with separately. It would be good to do so before they could come together again.

"I said I won't leave you," she spoke sincere and loud so that even Luka heard from behind her, "I made you a promise. I will not break it. I will follow you to the end of time if I have to."

His frown lifted a bit and he sent her a wink, "I want you to be home by the end of the day darling. Don't take too long."

She snorted and muttered, "That's a new one," as she watched the brothers finally go through the portal.

She turned to where Luka was- now standing since the revelation that she had been alive made him want to go to her. But he had stopped in his tracks as he watched Creation and Destruction engulf like old lovers who had been separated by time and consequently, death. Because that is what it was. Even if he hadn't heard the pet names or had seen that... kiss or their previous interactions when he thought Marinette was just a normal fairy, he could tell just by their interactions now.

They had a history larger than any of the books written about them, truer than any of the assumptions made about them.

But that meant, "Of course," he laughed in disbelief, "He knew. He knew who you were."

She cocked her head, agreeing instantly, "Yes. He did."

"All this time he-"

"Well at first he didn't know. It took him a bit to figure it out. But I knew he would."

"You- you planned this? You wanted him to know? Oh my Sol you really deliberately went to Howling Spirit. You deliberately set him free."

She pressed her lips together as she walked closer, "Mhmn. Sort of. It's like this. At the time I was the Marinette you had come to know but inside I had already given myself the task to free him without necessarily knowing it was my task. All it took was a little motivation via a vision of you being attacked and soon enough, I freed him," and then so he didn't hear, she muttered to herself, "I guess the deities making it so I had a crush on you helped in some way."

He pointed at her angrily as she stepped on front of him, the only thing he could sense which had changed about her was the immense amount of energy which was flowing within and around her, "You were the one who trapped him. So why?" But to him, she still was Marinette, just as she was Creation.

She gave him a pitiful look and softly said to him, "You know why Luka."

He felt his teeth grit hard and he had to stop himself before he broke his own teeth, "That is not an answer damnit."

She scowled at his attitude, "Okay- you know what- you really want to know why?"

"Yes. I do."

She gave him an almost sadistic smile and placed a hand on his shoulder, "You don't deserve to know Luka. Not after what you have done."

She was playing with him, messing with his head, almost identical to Destruction's own methods. Did he ever really know her or was she just hiding herself from him every time they had met? He felt himself scowl more at the realisation.

With that she began to work her magic into him. Before he could even reply, he could feel her refreshing magic within her, could feel the other soul within him fight it. But she was stronger, more determined. It washed over him like a waterfall inside him, it attacked every bit of evil inside of him and it worked until it couldn't anymore. Soon he was on his knees, an aftermath of the effects of her power, stronger than anything but Destruction's. It had exhausted him. He breathed heavily as he watched a bright white light gather in her hand, only for it to glow less and less until it revealed a pure white butterfly.

She smiled at it and lifted her hand, urging it to go out into the mortal world, "Bye bye little butterfly," she whispered.

Luka couldn't help but be amazed at the Goddess on front of him and he let out an almost silent, "Wow."

She knelt down on front of him, "There is something you have to do before I let you go," she leaned in to his ear to whisper his request.

His eyes widened, "But-"

She shook her head, "Listen to me Luka. You have to do this. Marinette Dupain-Cheng cannot stay in this world anymore. I don't care how you do it, just promise me you will."

"I-" he contemplated if he should, "Why me?"

"You owe me this at least. Please Luka."

He bit his bottom lip anxiously when he heard her desperate plea before nodding, "Okay. I- I will. It's my fault so I should do it. I- I should be the one who does it."

She gave him a genuine smile and stood up, walking to the portal. He trailed after her as she continued to speak to him, "Try to wrap it up in a few days. Before you know it, another month or two would pass in the other two realms."

"I should be able to do that. You said to use any means possible, right? Even if it means I will become killer in the eyes of the mortals?"

She let out a sigh, knowing what he was thinking of doing, "You don't have to do it that way, you know? You can make it look like an accident."

"I'm afraid I can't do that Princess Marinette," he bowed his head respectfully to her, using her name and title as a sign of reverence towards her status, "I still have to finish receiving punishment in this world. This should do it if you want me to return quickly."

"There's also a few more things," she beckoned him to come closer and they discussed what she wanted him to say and do once she left.

"I understand, your Highness."

She waved him off and turned to him just as she was going to step into the portal, "When you get back, tell Uncle his dear niece said hello. And tell him not to try and find me just yet. It trust you can find your own way home once you have completed your task."

"Wait!" Upon a desperate impulse, Luka grabbed hold of her arm, hoping for one more chance, "Will you not go to Soleria now? Will you not come home?"

She smiled and tilted her head, "Home?" Letting out a small chuckle, she suddenly had a faraway but blissful look in her eyes, "He is my home Luka. There is no where else I'd rather be."

And that stung. That truly and relentlessly stung worse than the disturbed hive of a colony of vicious bees, "Not even... with me?" He whispered almost hopefully, even knowing the answer.

"Luka. I'm sorry," she told him, and she meant it. She had hurt him for so long not being able to reciprocate his feelings. And she knew just how much it hurt him, just how much he wished it wasn't like that, "Don't worry. I'll be back to talk to my uncle once you are back. I just- I have a lot to do before I can. You understand, right?" She gave him a half smile and sent a small wave to him.

"Wait! Just..." at her bewildered and slightly uncomfortable look, he faltered, "There is something else you need to know."

Again she just waved him off, "If it's about what has been happening with the army, I already figured it out. It's another reason I came back now," she shook her head, "Bye, Luka. I'll see you soon. And make sure to inform me when you find him!"

Before he could open his mouth with an answer, she slipped into the portal and left the world once again. He tried to follow her but it was useless. She had likely anticipated it and had temporarily closed the portal off. She had left him in this world, alone, once again.

It broke his heart to pieces.

But the funniest thing was that deep down he knew. He always had. She had never loved him, not matter which version of herself she was. She never loved him, even though they had been engaged twice. Her heart had always been closed off to him. He had always wondered what it would take to open it. What it would take to receive her love wholeheartedly.

Destruction was the answer, but never him.

And the thought of that broke his heart into a million of pieces. He wondered if it would ever be able to come back together again.

............

She made her way to the Grand Palace of Luneith quite easily enough. All it took was some teleportation. She was glad, that her powers were back. Insanely happy that she had the means to protect him properly now.

She had one goal and she was determined to fulfil it, no matter how destiny intervened.

She made her way down the palace halls and noticed that the guards did not even lift a weapon when they saw her. She realised Adrien and Felix (because they were still tied together) must have given them the notice beforehand. She smiled as the servants in the Palace who were rushing around as usual bowed to her before hurrying away. She even gave a few a small bow of the head, a small but noticeable sign of respect back to them.

"You're finally back then," a voice said from behind her and she turned to look at the woman who had spoken.

Marinette smiled with recognition to the voice and the woman speaking, "Alix. It has been a while hasn't it?"

Alix was shorter than Marinette by a few inches. She had blue eyes even lighter than Marinette's, and in the dimly lit hall they were in, her eyes shone, illuminating her whole face. She had pink- almost red hair which spiked in all directions, having been messily cut and kept in an untidy way- being the God of time, it was only normal for Alix to be uncaring of the way her hair was kept, for she was more focused on keeping everything in the three realms on time, even if it meant someone had to be late to a meeting at the pond in the middle of the night.

She was wearing a blue long coat which almost hit the floor, it's texture almost leather- something Marinette had made long ago, specially for her. It's buttons were mismatched having specifically been chosen by Alix herself. They were in the shape of cogs and gears of a clock but each was different from the others. They constantly moved like they were actually part of a clock even if they didn't touch. It was still kept in good condition but Marinette, whose eye was trained to look at fabric, could see the wear and tear of time. She would have to repair it for Alix soon.

Underneath her coat she wore a white shirt with three panels on each side and a collar which wasn't folded, the top button being left open. She wore light brown balloon pants and the type of shoes she had called sneakers or trainers (probably from the future) on her feet. She also wore a blue waistcoat which matched the sky blue of the long coat. The buttons on the coat were also mismatched and on her waistcoat sat a blue and white pocket watch which Alix had always kept. It was a special watch, as it was able to tell the time no matter where she was, including the day and the year she was in- it was something the God of time needed seeing as she constantly went back and forth time periods (doing what exactly? No one would even dare to ask).

On her head was a mask shaped to mimic that of a bunny. It was a white mask which was decorated with several more cogs and chains and gears. The eyes of the bunny were not just holes she would be able to see through but goggles, tinted blue. What was so interesting about the goggles was that all of the mechanics on the mask actually connected to move the goggles which were also shaped with two large cogs. How she wore it for long periods of time, Marinette couldn't answer. She didn't actually cover her face with it as of this moment, it just sat on top as the cogs constantly churned no matter what.

Alix smirked as she came closer, "What you think is a while could have been a second for me. Alternatively, what could have been a second for you could have been 10,000 years for me."

Marinette let out a laugh, "Oh I have missed you Alix."

The God of time laughed too, genuinely glad to see her old friend, and held Marinette's hand. She bowed and placed a kiss on her hand before looking up with her eyes twinkling, "As have I, my Empress," it was something she had always addressed Marinette by. Having been used to it and not caring to correct her, Marinette playfully rolled her eyes. Alix stood up straight, "I must take my leave now. You know how it is. Civilisations always need to be saved from time."

She started to move in the other direction but stopped when Marinette called out to her, "I just... I want to say thank you. For helping me so much back then. Without you I don't think I would have succeeded."

Alix turned and gave her a bright smile, "I made a vow to serve you, who saved me. My duty will always be to you Grand Empress."

"I am eternally grateful for your service Alix."

The God of time hummed, "I shall take my leave, your Highness."

Marinette watched as Alix left and waited until she was unable to see her anymore, before turning to walk to the room she had been treading to since she came to Luneith. The room Adrien had let her stay in before she had been kidnapped. The room which Adrien had confirmed Kagami had stayed in all of these years as she had been in a coma.

She opened the door and smiled as she saw Kagami's brown-almost golden eyes wide open, "You're awake," three heads turn to face her, "I'm glad. You two, get out for a bit will you?"

The boys looked personally offended at what she had asked, even more when Kagami let out a snort at their reactions, "You might want to listen to her."

Adrien grumbled as he walked towards her, ignoring the shouts of Felix who was still tied to him, as he complained, "At least unbind us first."

Marinette quickly did as was asked, and had to be stern once again as she told them, "Out! I want the both of you out. I want to check on her health without the two of you hovering. Why don't the both of you, in the meantime, go and dismantle that mirror in Adrien's room? We won't need it anymore."

The two of them looked at each other and nodded, realising that they should probably do exactly that before a poor mortal stumbled upon the mirror and accidentally stepped inside a world they wouldn't be able to comprehend with their meagre mortal mind.

Adrien quickly stepped closer to her and gave her a simple kiss on her cheek, "Come to my room after?"

Marinette nodded in confirmation.

Once they left Marinette went straight to Kagami's side. She quickly checked over to see any lingering injuries and pain were dealt with.

"How am I?" Kagami asked, looking- no- studying Marinette's face as she diligently looked over the marks that were left from Luka's akumatisation. Luckily, once she had cleansed Luka of Hawkmoth's butterfly, it seemed that her pain had subsided and her own magical system was already working to fully heal herself.

"You have some scarring and there is still a bit of dark energy which needs to be cleansed. But I can fix that up right away," Marinette moved her fingers to the side of Kagami's neck and started the cleansing process, "Other than that, you just have to take it slow for a few weeks. You have been in a coma for quite a few years- although, the time bubble likely lessened that- considering your abilities, I'd say you be back and fighting in no time."

"Really? I'll be okay?" She sounded relieved.

Marinette nodded firmly, "Of course I will closely monitor you and if I think it's too much for you I will send you to rest, but yes. You will be okay. It looks like after I purified Luka from the akuma, all of it's effects dissipated."

Kagami sat up a bit more, "Will I be allowed to check on the village which had been attacked?"

For a moment she considered and realised that perhaps, she too should go in order to see the village and inspect how it had been affected by Hawkmoth as well, "I'll go with you in a few days. For now I just want you to rest."

The two women sat there in silence after that. Kagami just watched as Marinette used her powers to take away the bad energy and replace it with her own, refreshing energy. It felt peaceful, having Marinette's energy wash over her.

Marinette, meanwhile, was stuck in thought about what Hawkmoth's motivations were. He caused chaos and didn't matter who he took down, even if it meant he destroyed the Realm he had protected for years, even if it meant he would hurt his own son. She couldn't fathom why anyone wold do something like that, why they wouldn't just rest peacefully. But she also knew that Hawkmoth was different. He was a form of evil which had been untouched, relentless in his pursuit for- just what did he want?

Gods she hated Hawkmoth with every fibre of her being.

After a few minutes of silence, Kagami cleared her throat and hesitantly asked, "It's you isn't it?" At Marinette's hum she continued, "Even during the war, even before, it was you who my King thought of. Who he snuck out to see. It had been you from the beginning. It makes sense why he had been so taken with you when he talked about you. And then he came back with you and I could tell how much he cared. You were never enemies were you?"

"We've been together longer than people know."

"You hid it well."

A laugh escaped her throat, "Yes, well. We had to. Lest we wanted to be separated."

"It happened anyways," Kagami pointed out. It seemed that Adrien had been interrogated by the other couple whilst Marinette had been sorting things out in the mortal realm.

Marinette shrugged sadly, "I don't want to think about it. That time, we were both so angry at each other. I hated every bit of it."

"So you imprisoned him?" And now, it seemed, Kagami was trying to interrogate her. She tried to sit up higher but Marinette pushed her back down.

Marinette ushered her back down, informing her not to get up unless she wanted to become dizzy. She needed more rest. Marinette sighed as she thought of her question before finally saying, "You don't understand."

"Then make me. I want to know if I can trust you or not."

Marinette stared at Kagami, silently inquiring whether or not that was her actual intention. She clicked her tongue and took a deep breath, "Look. Back then things weren't simple. Behind the scenes things were happening and I knew if it reached him, no one would be safe. Especially him. Mostly him. I- I needed time to figure everything out. But I also needed to make sure he was out of the way, out of danger. And with the whole war happening, imprisoning him was the only way to ensure he and everyone else could survive."

"So..." Kagami waved her hand as she tried to figure out what to say, "What you are trying to say is that you did it to save him?" Her tone was incredulous, as if she didn't know whether or not she should believe it.

Marinette nodded her head, "I'll tell you the reason only after I explain it to him. He deserves to know why before anyone."

Kagami bit the inside of her bottom lip and sighed, "Okay," she paused and for a few moments the room was once again engulfed in silence again. She spoke once more after she gathered her thoughts, decidedly wanting to trust the Goddess on front of her, "I'm glad, you know."

"Huh- about what?"

"That he has you. Felix and I always wished for him to find his happiness. We just didn't expect it to be you. However, seeing the both of you today, I couldn't be more pleased to see him so happy. I've never seen him as radiant as when he looks at you," Marinette gave her a small smile and Kagami gave one back, before it turned into a smirk. It was time to get some information on her (future) brother-in-law, "So do you have any funny stories of him? Before you came the other two were bickering about how Adrien had been jealous. Jealous! That is an emotion I would never thought he would have. I honestly wished I could see it in person."

Marinette lifted a finger and twirled it in the air, "I can show you some of my memories if you want?"

They continued to speak, Marinette regaling the funniest stories she had of Adrien (whilst also showing a lot of her memory as she recalled what happened), including a time when they had gone to the mortal realm and he had become extremely jealous because a girl in the inn they had gone to for the night had kept on flirting with her and Marinette had deliberately let her since at the time she had been annoyed at him for taking the last chicken skewer for their lunch. Kagami, in turn told her many stories of when he had been younger and the two became increasingly more comfortable with each other as they shared their stories of the person they both shared love for (for Kagami, it was obviously more familial).

Marinette was happy that she was able to connect with Kagami easily but soon she told the girl to go back to sleep, and that she would send Felix to her with instructions to not exhaust her. She waited until Kagami's eyes shut and she was in a deep sleep, and then she left the room.

............

After Felix left to go to the next room, Marinette turned to face Adrien. They had resisted going near each other whilst Felix had been in the room, but Felix had noticed how they kept glancing at each other, they were itching to get to the other and saw Felix as an obstacle to that. He quickly left once Marinette had finished talking to him, Felix himself wanting to hold his own lover in his arms and not have to look or feel worried that she wasn't going to wake up this time around.

Immediately, Marinette was in Adrien's arms.

Her hands curled over his shoulders as she pressed herself tightly to him. Her energy was still running high but she felt herself relaxing in his arms, which stayed firmly around her back. She sighed into him, as she felt herself melting into his embrace. Sure they had hugged earlier today, but it had been too short. Too hasty. She had just come back and was still on a high from her energy becoming unlocked, her aura bursting. She also wanted to get everything over with before she could fall into his arms for longer. They had no time to savour the feeling of finally and properly being in each other's arms.

But now they didn't have to feel awkward or hold back. They didn't have to worry about being found out. They could just think about each other. Hold each other. Be in love.

The silence was full of confession. Of remembrance. Of yearning. Of a wish to be safe. Of a hope to be loved.

In each other's arms, they were.

They had probably been standing there in the middle of his room, neither saying a word for about ten minutes when Marinette lifted her head wanting to speak, but had suddenly become shy as her eyes trailed from his face down to the peak of skin she could see under his neckline.

"What's wrong?" He asked, and she found herself fixated on the way his throat vibrated as he let out noise, she almost didn't catch what he said. She reached a finger out and lightly grazed it over his neck, causing him to groan and utter, "Marinette..."

It was her name which got her to talk, "It sounds so good coming from your mouth," her finger moved to brush over his bottom lip, her nail causing a small stinging sensation as it passed by, only for a millisecond.

"Marinette," he whispered, "Marinette. My sweet Marinette," he said her name again again. And again and again and again.

Every time he said her name it sent shivers down her spine. With the added hand that was rubbing up and down her back in a sensual manner, she felt like she was about to cross into the after realm just from the intensity of his touch. It had been so long since he had been so bold towards her, for she knew he hadn't wanted to scare her when she still didn't have her memories. When they hadn't even been able to make it known just how much they had missed each other.

She shook her head as she remembered that before anything else, there was something she needed to do before they could really do anything else, "Take off your top Adrien," she demanded, though to Adrien it sounded eager and caused him to smirk. She looked at him weirdly before she realised what she had been implying, "No- that's not what I meant."

"I'm sure," he replied, since seconds ago she had been breathing madly at his touch, almost to the point where she was about to verbally express her need for more.

She hit his chest and pouted up at him, even though his knowing look was technically true, "I need to check if he left any magical scarring on you."

He wanted to say he was fine, but thought it would be better to let her fuss over him, "Okay," he assured her gently, before stepping away from her to remove his top so he was left bare-chested in front of her.

He thought she would say something, that she would step forward and start to check over him, but he watched as her eyes trailed over him, over all of the muscle but more over all of the scars which he had acquired.

Although delayed, she stepped forward and lightly traced over a scar which had been right above his heart.

He watched her as she wordlessly started to focus on any residue from when Luka had attacked him earlier, but there wasn't too much to deal with thankfully. It took less time then it did with Kagami, whose injury had been stewing for a while, therefore the effect was more damaging for her. Whilst she was doing it, he could see that some of her focus was on the scars that were scattered across his skin. Once she was done with her healing, all of her focus was on them. The scars which made his past.

But he could tell she wasn't just looking at the ones she could visibly see. She was looking further, into his very soul, at the scars left in his mind and his heart. He knew she blamed herself for them.

He didn't say anything as she continued to trace over the physical scars, not even when he saw that her eyes began to tear up. He only spoke after she sorrowfully told him in a voice so opposite from the playfulness it had before, "I'm sorry."

"Don't be."

"Adrien," she whined seriously but Adrien couldn't help but find it cute. She seemed to recognise what he was thinking because hit him again. She then rested her hand against his chest and continued seriously, "Just... let me say this. I want to say this. I am so, so sorry for everything I have put you through. From breaking up to imprisoning you, to not answering any of your questions. I- I am responsible for so much which has happened to you. And I will do all it takes to own up to that responsibility. I-" she stopped as she felt a sob building up from the back of her throat. She tried to stop it from coming but seeing his beautiful face smiling down at her, she could do nought to stop the tears and a large embarrassing sob as she buried her face in her hands. She continued mumbling her muffled apology through her hands but her words were becoming incomprehensible.

He moved her hands away and wiped her her tears, even though they kept on slowly falling, he wiped away at them, allowing himself to see her more clearly. He spoke softly, "No more apologies. You being here, with all of your memories intact. You being here, alive. You not being angry at me anymore. It's enough. It's more than enough. I- feel so blessed to have you here by my side. Even if everyone in the entire three realms would protest otherwise. You being here, it makes everything worth it."

"Adrien- I-" He lifted a finger to her lips.

"It's my turn to speak," she nodded at him and he moved his finger only to cup her face instead, "I... Before that day I saw you sitting in that garden, I thought the only reason my life was worth anything was because it was my fate. Even if all I could do would destroy, I thought it was worth it because fate told me that it was. My father told me that it was. But do you know? That day, I saw you sitting there and I thought- no I believed that- wow. This life would be worth living thousands of times if it meant that it would always lead me to this moment. Before you, I forgot."

"Forgot what?"

He stroked her smooth cheek delicately, "I forgot that there is still so much beauty in this world. And over these years, I forgot again. Until you came back to me as Marinette and reminded me."

"Are you happy?" Her tears had stopped as he had been talking, but she thought it would start up again if he continued to be so sappy. This time though, they would be tears of joy.

He nodded and hummed before stroking her hair, smoothing it down from the excitement it had gained from her using so much energy, "You were right back then. I was enamoured by the sight of you. I thought you were so pretty. So unreal."

"And what about now?"

"I am still very much enamoured by your appearance. I still think you are so pretty. So beautiful. But it's not just your appearance. It's just you. All of you. The Princess of Soleria. The Goddess of Creation. Marinette. My Ladybug. I find every aspect of you the most beautiful in all the-"

She kissed him. Just a peck, but it shut him up.

"Don't speak anymore. Unless you want me to cry again."

"What should I do then?" He grinned at her, raising his eyebrows suggestively, "Instead of speaking, that is."

She leaned into him and pecked him again, this time letting her lips linger for a little longer against his, "Don't say anything anymore. Just kiss me. I've waited so long for this."

His breath was against hers, the cool air mixing with her warmth, "I've waited just as long you know."

He didn't let her respond, capturing her lips with his own, holding her closer than ever before. She moved her hands to wrap around his bare back, tracing the muscles of his shoulder with one and moving the other up and down his spine, making his whole body shiver to her touch, just like he had done to her before.

But he wouldn't let her have the upper hand for long. Soon he was lifting her up, smirking at the loud gasp she made not expecting him to do so. Her hands which had been on his back rushed to hold onto his neck and her dress lifted up as she wrapped her legs around his torso. One of his hands held onto her waist securely and the other went to her head. He kissed her again, using his hand to push her face towards him. His fingers became entangled in her hair as he held onto her.

She pushed away and pouted her head lifting so their eyes were at the same level, "Warn me next time, will you."

"Well, where's the fun in that?" He whispered before saying, "But I guess I can warn you. I'm taking revenge for earlier."

She didn't have time to question his intentions because he ducked his head down and placed his lips right on her neck. Absentmindedly, she realised he was talking about how she had bit into his neck before. She wanted to huff and disagree that he had nothing to take revenge for because her actions had been an accident.

But... he made her feel too good.

His lips were cold but all Marinette felt was warmth as he lingered on her. She felt herself shudder when he opened his mouth and his tongue swept lightly across her skin.

She wasn't ashamed to let out another gasp as she called his name, "Adrien!" He hummed into her neck, creating a wonderful sensation which made her grasp at him tightly, which only tightened more when he bit into her skin. She hissed, "Ah-Adri-" her words abruptly stopped when he sucked particularly hard on the spot of her neck he had bitten into, causing her to throw her head back as her senses went haywire.

'It really had been too long,' she thought. Just the smallest of his touch was enough to overwhelm her with ecstasy.

She missed him.

He took that moment to move his head away, taking time to admire his work as he too thought of how long it had been since they had been able to touch each other like this. But as much as he was aching to hasten the process, he wanted it to be slow. He wanted to show her just how much he thought about her, needing her, wanting only her.

He missed her.

He waited until she was looking at him again, looking positively delectable as her tongue wet her own lips in anticipation. He let himself kiss her for a few seconds before he pulled away to hold her gaze. It seemed like yesterday when he had been in her prison, one second he had been asleep, the next second he had been staring straight in to her vibrant blue eyes which, even in the dark, could be seen so clearly. This time his eyes met her ones again, but there was no confusion, no hostility, no wariness of a stranger.

"Do I have your permission?" He asked, the both of them knowing where they were heading.

She leaned forward, pressing their foreheads together, and she breathed out only one word, "Yes."

It was all he needed to kiss her again. Their mouths crashed together, and even when it left a small surge of pain as their teeth collided, they shrugged it off and let each other soothe the pain. As Adrien moved them towards his bed, they were more focused on feeling each other, through their lips, through their hands, through their bodies, through their souls.

There was no confusion, no hostility, no wariness.

Now there was only two people, never meant to be fated together, so intensely in love.

............

That is as far as I am going to go. I don't write smut so don't expect it. I'll leave that to your imagination. Also this chap is already so long and I have been working on writing this chapter for a few days. No more! I need to move on! For the sake of my own sanity!

Unrelated but I got distracted whilst editing cuz I was listening to Hey Tayo by ENHYPEN and I don't care what anyone says. This song is so fricking catchy!

This Alix gives me sort of steampunk vibes so that's what I decided to go for here. Alix doesn't care if she is known as the God or Goddess of time, but most people refer to her as the God of time because the previous one was a male and it just stuck.

Okay so I think this is the longest chapter now. From now on the chapters are definitely going to be less than this. I just had a lot to set up in this chap.

See you lovelies <3
