Setting

The world that these characters is quite "small" the world is about one big city with portals scattered about. Those portals will send you to another realm. There are two types of realms: community and private. Community realms house the elderly and it is where you would live to raise your kids. In those realms there are schools, restaurants and recreation spots. Private realms are like colleges. There are realms that are famous for their good quality (like Harvard or something) and then there are bad realms that are famous for their terrible elements. Each realm is represented by a number, but if you live in realm 784, that does NOT mean there are 784 different realms. There are only 10 community realms, their numbers mean nothing (C1-C10). There is not set number of Private realms; they are constantly added and destroyed. The numbers that represent those realms have a meaning, but it's not important, and the numbers do not count up. (There may be a realm 7 and 9, but there may not be a realm 8).

In order to get into a Private realm (depending on the quality) you would need to send in an application (like getting a job). People can legally join private realms at 18 (keyword legally), but there is not age that you are supposed to leave (you can stay as long as you like). You can get kicked out or banned from any given realm.
