The same year Steve became a supersoldier, William decided to sneak himself into the army. Unlike Steve who had the urge to fight for what was right and what was wrong, William was simply trying to find a way home and take on a journey so many spoke about.

He was too young to be allowed there, barely fifteen, he had the advantage of looking like a youthful eighteen year old. In the times of war, chaos, grief and dying love, no one had time to pay attention to underage soldiers, such as William Rogers.

After losing himself in the battles, horrific shower of blood, bullet rain and screaming of dying men, William had fallen hostage for no one else but the Nazi organisation - HYDRA.

There was nothing to remember, many years had gone by and the Soldier had no idea what had taken place in decades.

Only that he was now a monster.

In the 21st century, he went rogue, Hydra fell, but the files of The Soldier still remained. The deaths were too big for SHIELD to let it simply go.
Apparently, the Avengers had no idea there were more than two people lost in time.

While trying to wipe out the remaining HYDRA associates who had scattered and keeping them from leashing their final plans upon dozens of civilians, the Soldier must remember to keep his surfacing feelings and mission separated. That means, avoiding the dozens of SHIELD agents and the so called Avengers off his tail. Even when the sharp memories tell him that he might just know the one with red and blue shield.
