Finishing a Book

Finishing a Book
There is something that breaks when you finish a book. Especially a book series that you've grown up with...
I just finished the Kingdom Keepers series and I am in tears... I grew up with those characters and now... They're gone...
The magic that you get from books is something that I will never be able to describe... You're in their world, their adventures. You feel their pain, their happiness, their grief...
And when it ends, you're left alone...
I've heard people say that there is one thing that fangirls and Voldemort have in common:
They split their souls into pieces.
I know that, because I have a piece of my soul in the book that I just finished. I feel a hole in that space... In my heart...
I am so scared for when the Blood of Olympus comes out...
I've grown up with Percy and his world! It can't... Just... *chokes back a sob* it can't just... Disappear...
Books contain a special magic that only special people recagnize. Those special people are the ones that read.
And the ones that write.
Authors have a power unexplainable by science. Anyone could tell you that, but when you experience the magic and feel what was put into this one story...
It means so much more...
That is why I want to be an author. I want to transport people anywhere I wish. I want to have the experience the pain and the joy of my characters. Sure, it takes practice and lots of focus, but you learn and adapt.
Not many people would understand what I'm saying... I think it's just me who does...
But seriously.
Books have a power that comes out. It's hidden in everyone.
And when you finish the world that you're so engrossed in...
It hurts.
