Old Evidence

So I'm feeling like shit and demotivation/awkwardness is being a bitch rn. And because of that I'll be working on shorter stories instead of the bigger fanfic rn (so if you're a fan of that one sorry for the wait, I've hit a dead end.)

Anyway onto the story

----------

"Hey Trix, have you found anything yet?!" Shouted Edith from the other room.
"No nothing yet!"

The two were looking through their old piles of evidence that they had collected for the investigation years ago. right now they were busy picking out what to keep and honestly they were struggling. It was hard to find anything usefull in the heeps of scrap metal and useless garbage.

Edith was busy tossing out old pictures when she heard a soft mechanical wirring coming from the other room, followed shortly after by a high pitched shriek.
She jumped, scattering the pictures she was holding all over the floor, and ran towards the room where the noise had come from, the room that Trix was in.

Upon arrival she immediately noticed that a few boxes were knocked over and it looked like one had forcefully been torn open by something inside.
next to the collapsed boxes stood Trix trying to stop the small greenish mechanical rabbit that she was holding by it's ears from gnawing her face off. Edith immediately recognised it. They had found it half crushed on a train track and they had decided to take it home just because of the fact that it seemed odd many years ago. It looked disturbingly real, it had human eyes and human teeth. It was missing it's entire left leg, almost all the fingers on it's left hand, multiple teeth and part of it's eye. Edith wondered how it was still able to function.
It looked like now it had finally activated again.

"Edith, what the fuck is this thing?!" Trix shouted, still holding onto the things ears as it violently tried to fling itself at her.
Edith shouted back "I have no idea!!"
"Why is it here?!"
"I don't know!!"
"He-" Trix was cut off as the thing let out a loud high pitched animalistic growl and attempted to kick her. "Help me restrain this fucking thing!!"
"What the fuck do you want me to do?!"
"I don't know-" She dodged a kick "- just get some fucking rope or something!!"
"Okay okay just hold onto that thing!!"
"That's what I'm planning to do!!"

Edith sprinted out of the room to find something to restrain the feral robot bunny with. She didn't even know if they had any rope or even cords. And with how that thing's jaws looked she wouldn't be surprised if it just chewed through every kind of godamn rope including actual steel wires.
She should've known not to take it. She hated how stupid she was in the past. She had never thought about how it might have ended up on the railway. It was very likely that someone had tried to destroy it now that she thought about it.

Edith managed to find some old thick wires in the piles of scrap metal strewn around her apartment. She sprinted back to Trix holding the wires tightly, for all she knew they could come alive as well or something. She wouldn't be surprised considering everything she had seen so far during their decades long investigation.

Edith noticed that Trix was struggling with controlling the rabbit as it was attempting to grab her with it's mutilated hands. Trix looked over at her as she returned.
"Finally, this thing is hard to hold!!" She shouted while still gripping the snarling and flailing rabbit.
"I got some random wires, I think it'll do!"
"Yes it will, now hurry up and wrap this fucking thing up!"
"Yea yea I will, just hold it still and make sure it doesn't murder me!"

Edith approached Trix and the rabbit quickly, planning to restrain the thing as fast as possible to avoid getting injured. For being relatively small that thing sure seemed dangerous, and she wasn't going to risk possibly getting an arm torn off.
Trix held on tighter to the things ears, sadly it was still free to wiggle the rest of it's body as much as it wanted but at least it wouldn't suddenly break free.

It hissed and growled like a wild animal while Edith was attempting to wrap the wires around it. When it snapped at her and almost managed to chomp of her finger she decided that it probably wasn't that smart to start with it's body.
Edith let out an annoyed sound and wrapped some of the wire around it's weirdly formed 'snout'. She was lucky that it even something resembling a snout that was big enough to wrap a wire around without it slipping loose.

Even with it's mouth forced shut it attempted to bite her multiple times and when it realised that it wasn't able to maul her, it glared at her, almost as if it was fully aware of what was going on, but Edith doubted that was the case with how feral it was acting. It would be surprising if that thing had a mental capacity above that of the average rat with rabies.

Edith struggled to wrap the wire around it's arms and leg with how much it was kicking and wiggling, but eventually she succeeded in tying the little demon up.
Trix sighed in relief when she could finally let go of the thing without having to fear for her life. She dropped it onto the ground and it landed with a hard thud.

"Trix, do you have any idea what we should do with that thing?"
"I say an exorcism but you're probably looking for a non paranormal solution."
"Exactly." Edith thought for a moment and managed to think of something, "I'm going to call Kiera."
"The kid? What do you think she'd be able to do about it?"
Edith was already typing in the number. "Don't underestimate her. She's way better at taming murderous robots than we are, she will definitely find a way to deal with this.....Problem..."
She gestured at the rabbit who was trying to get up to attack them.
"Whatever it is, it'll be better than leaving it tied up somewhere."

Edith finished typing in the number and it didn't take Kiera long to answer.

"....Hello...?"
"Hi Kiera, It's Edith. Trix and I have a bit of a problem."
"Why do you have a problem so early...?"
"It's 4 pm. Get your sleep schedule together."
"Ok, ouch.."
"Sorry for informing you that your life's a mess."
"It isn't really. It's just that Springtrap felt the need to keep me up by telling stories about literally anything he could think of. I only got to sleep at like 8 when my dad came in and managed to distract him with shitty horror movies."
"And this is relevant how?"
"Well you keep whining about my sleep schedule.."
"Fine, but can you help us now, please?"
"Depends, what do you need me for?"
"A very tiny, very angry Springtrap clone attacked us and we don't know what to do with it."

Kiera's voice immediately went from tired to very excited.

"Hell yea that sounds lit! I'll be there in like 5 minutes!!"

Kiera hung up the phone immediately after. The room went quiet again, well apart from the angry muffled screeching coming from the rabbit.

After what felt like hours but was only a few minutes, they finally heard knocking.
Edith basically sprinted towards it and opened it to reveal a very happy looking Kiera.

"Kiera, glad you could come, we really need some help right now."
"Yea you said that. Now can I see the thing you were talking about?"
"Yes of course, we have it tied up in the living room."
"Kinky."

Edith stopped for a moment, just now remembering how fucking weird Kiera was sometimes.

"....Whatever you say..."

Without another word Edith led Kiera to the living room, where Trix was still kind of staring at the wiggling robo bunny. As soon as Kiera saw it, she crouched down in front of it and observed it closely.

"Woa... Sick. How did you find this again?"
"It was in the old evidence boxes, but we originally found it broken down on the train tracks."

Kiera attempted to pet it and in response the thing attempted to chomp off her hand, seeming to forget that a wire was forcing it's jaw shut.

"Wow, quite a nasty little fella ain't you?"

Kiera went to touch the thing again and this time actually succeeded for a few moments before the thing kicked her away again.

"Just like I expected, feels like old carpet that someone died on."

She picked the struggling rabbit up and it immediately hissed and attempted to break free.

"I'll take him!"

Trix was the first to respond.
"What..?"
"He looks absolutely hideous and horrifying, he smells and feels like shit, but I love him already and I want to take him home."
"But how would you play it off? Like your dad already seems very not fine with having one disgusting bunny robot in his home so he'll probably freak the fuck out if you bring one that's actually actively trying to kill."
"I can pretend that this is a chihuahua I found in the dumpster outside."
"I-....That might actually somehow work.."
"Right? Like he is basically a weirdly formed robot chihuahua. Same attitude and smell after all."
"You are completely right."

Trix couldn't help but giggle as Kiera's statement was basically proven as the thing lunged at her again.

"Just take him." Edith said, getting tired of the conversation and wanting the disgusting bunny out of her house immediately.
"I will." Kiera tried to pet the thing again and of course it lashed out. "Thank you."
"yea ok, just go. Get it out of my house."

Kiera went to the door and waved "Okay, thanks again." She said before walking out and leaving the door behind her, leaving the other two alone in the apartment.

After a few minutes, Trix was the first to speak again.
"What in the actual fuck just happened."

--------

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand done, 1765 words, not my longest but definitely still happy with it. Kinda fun to write some chaotic stuff again without trying to insert some bullshit plot.

Note 1:
I don't really think game Plushtrap really behaves like shown here, but I'm mainly going of 'out of stock' Plushtrap because that version is the definition of feral and I love it. I kinda hinted at it being from that story because, spoiler alert, Plushtrap gets hit by a train at the end. (out of stock Plushtrap is quite a bit more dangerous tho)
Also I really love the idea of Plushtrap kind of just having the personality of one of those hellish chihuahua's because it's funny af.

Note 2:
I am just now starting to realise that writing feral things is very entertaining.
