She was breaking.

Her heart was breaking.

She gave and gave,

They always took and took,

But she got nothing in return.

She wanted attention, not a lot, just a little bit.

She wanted to be noticed.

She was ceramic,

Every time she got dropped,

Felt unwanted, not loved,

She would crack.

Eventually she got so cracked,

Not even superglue could fix her.

One day, it got really bad,

Her self esteem dropped so much,

That it was left chipped.

There would forever be something missing,

And no one would have the slightest clue.

She excluded herself from the world,

Thinking that it would fix things.

She was wrong, she was very wrong.

It just hurt her more.

Finally one day, she was treated so poorly,

But nobody noticed.

She felt hopeless, useless, and unloved.

She was dropped, she broke.

And now she's broken.
