I gasp...
"Leo... Leo stop... Ugh..." Leo's eyes meet mine, I see his panic, his fear, it makes me shiver. The way the whites of his eyes are penetrated by red snakes and glossed over with rain.
"No! I won't let you Raph! I won't let you die!"
"Leo-" I'm cut off by a groan of pure pain, it takes me a few short rapid breaths before I find my voice again.
"Leo I c-can't... I can't go any f-further... Go b-before they g-get y-ou too..."
Leo's breaths tickle my skin, then he tugs, moving me not even an inch and an unnatural cross between a growl and a shriek erupts from deep within.
Immediately my older brother stops and drops by my side, crying into me as his arms hold me close.
"Oh my god Raph I'm so sorry! Did I hurt you?" I chuckle a little and let my head rest on his plastron.
Removing my hands from the wound, shows a big whole in my side and a bunch of gore and blood. My hands are covered in it!
"You could never... H-hurt me Leo..." My voice is but a whisper as the
Katana-Wielder cries, his tears drip dropping on my head like rain drops from the clouds crying skies.
"I'm s-so c-cold." Shivering in his arms my teeth click clack against each other, jaw vibrating.
Leo sobs and kisses my forehead. He cups my cheek with his hand and holds me tight.
"When you're cold, I'll be your heat... When you can't breath, I'll be your air...  When you can't see, I'll be your eyes... And when you can't cry, I'll be your tears. When you can't live anymore..." He draws in a shaky breath and touches his forehead to mine, eyes squeezing shut so tight, so tight... Then they open and I see his beautiful, almost glowing blue eyes. They only seem to glow when he cries, I'm not sure why, but even in sadness and darkness his eyes show light... As he finishes, I stair deep into them, gasping my last breaths.
"W-When you can't live any longer... I'll be your beating heart." Taking my hand with his shaking one, he places it across my chest, where his heart is. Chin wobbling, he tries not to sob and weep but can't help it. He can't keep control, I see that.
"Leonardo..."
"I'm here Raph... I'm here."
"You've always been my heart... Always..." I give my older brother one last smile, I feel the twinkles in my eyes, before darkness takes me, and the last thing I feel, is the spark of Leonardo's lips against mine.
"I love you Raphael..."
