It was around midnight some nights later, as I was sitting on the couch doing some light reading, when I felt a pair of hands cover my eyes.

"Guess who?" Mia's small voice giggled.

"Hm, is it Cat?" I joked. Mia took her dainty hands from my eyes so I could finally see once again. She stood in front of me wearing fuzzy pajama pants, holding onto a pair of binoculars and a whole pile of blankets. To say I was confused as to what she was doing was an understatement.

"Today, at about four thirty in the morning, there's gonna be this thing called the Perseid meteor shower. It's one of the only times in our lifetime that we'll be able to see it and I'm gonna stay awake to watch the whole thing from the front of the bus." She declared.

"A meteor shower?" I asked. "And it's in a couple of hours?"

"Mhm." Mia smiled. "I'm so excited, I've been reading all these articles about it and it's gonna be passing through this area tonight, and- I'm sorry." She blushed. "I'm being annoying."

"No, no." I shook my head. "Never be ashamed of something you're passionate about. I'll stay up with you." I offered. Her face lit up instantly and she wrapped her arms around my neck in a tight hug. I chuckled and picked her tiny body up and squeezed her back.

"We have a few more hours to prepare, but I say we sit up front by the big window so we don't miss it." Mia suggested. "I also figured out that the bus is pointed in the direction of the meteor shower, so our view should be really good. And since we're in a campground, we don't have to worry about streetlights getting in the way of our view."

"You've given this some thought." I laughed.

"Only a little bit." She blushed. "But I thought, since you're willing to do this, I'm willing to try one of your kale shakes."

"Yes!" I shouted in victory. "I knew you'd come around one day. I can make us some just before the meteor shower. You'll like it, I make 'em good."

"Don't get too cocky now, Styles." Mia teased.

"Hey, all's I'm saying is, if the singing thing didn't work out for me, I definitely could've opened a kale shakery." Harry laughed.

"Pretty sure shakery isn't a word. It's okay though, you probably aren't that smart because you dropped school for singing. I understand." She smirked. My laughing subsided as I stared at her blankly.

"I'll have you know, Mia Roden, that I finished high school just like you." I said. "And I know for a fact that shakery is indeed a word, because I just made it up." I chuckled, looking down at her. "And when I open my kale shakery, I will be adding it to the dictionary with all of the other real words."

"Fine, you win." Mia said. She grabbed the giant pile of blankets that she had dropped and hobbled to the front of the bus. I would be lying if I said I hadn't sneaked a peak at her butt as she walked away, and for some reason immediately felt extremely guilty, like I had to apologize or something.

Cat hopped up next to me on the couch and I scooped her up and brought her with me to the kitchen. I had to make sure that I had enough of my ingredients for the kale shakes.

"Hey, Mia?" I shouted. "Do you still want to go to the Air & Space museum?"

"We don't have to!" Mia shouted back. I rolled my eyes and set Cat down on the ground before going to the very front of the bus, where Mia was trying her best to turn into a comfy sleeping area.

"Mia, if you want to go to Air & Space, we're going." I said sternly. Mia laughed. "I mean it."

"I don't want to be an inconvenience to you, Harry. You would probably just get bored by it, we don't have to go, really." She tried to assure me. I pursed my lips and crossed my arms, watching her as she laid more sheets down on the seats.

"You're not an inconvenience. You're a priority. Look, your parents were assholes for not believing in your dream. I'm not like them. So, we're going to that museum and we're going to have a hell of a time looking at space things, alright?"

  "Are you sure?" She asked.

"I've never been more sure in my life. You can do all of your cool astronaut things and I'll be at the indoor McDonald's. Eating a salad or something, of course." I smirked. Mia laughed as she finished up creating out makeshift beds.

"I need to shower." Mia sighed. "Do you need in the bathroom for the next half hour?"

"Nope." I said. "And I already brushed my teeth, so don't worry about me coming in."

"Thanks." She said dryly as she slipped by me to go to the bathroom. I looked down at my feet, where Cat was staring intensely at my toes, like a predator stalking it's prey. I shrieked and ran to the back room before she could sink her teeth into my feet.

I heard the shower water start to run as I laid back on the couch and unlocked my phone. I had some messages from friends and family, including some band members, and I replied to all of them quickly. My sister had informed me that she had gotten a new job near London and started a few days ago, and her and I chatted a bit back and forth about how she was doing.

Suddenly, I got a notification from Twitter. I frowned, because I had turned my notifications off for Twitter and hadn't gotten one in years. I clicked on it and it immediately took me to a tweet by some magazine company that contained a link. Being me and not expecting anything, I clicked on the link.

HARRY STYLES AND MIA RODEN: THE TRUTH BEHIND THEIR LOVE AFFAIR?

I immediately shut my phone off. The last thing I wanted to read about was a false article containing bullshit stories about Mia and I. I felt bad for her because most of the articles were about her and most of them said nasty things. Being someone who was often in the media, I knew what it was like to be the center of unwanted attention, and trying to cope with having so many rumors flying around about you was a hard thing to deal with, especially for a girl as young as eighteen.

And then there was her family and fiance. It still didn't make sense to me how they could be so cold to her. Her fiance had opened up about her falsely to several reporters. I assumed he felt the need for revenge for her leaving him, but the way he went about it was so childish and disrespectful that it made me hate him with every fiber in my being.

Then again, I think I've always hated the thought of Matthew. Something about the way Mia talked so vaguely about their relationship and how easy it was for her to leave them made me wonder what exactly happened the days before Mia's wedding.

I quickly went into my contacts and found the number I was looking for. I headed to the front of the bus to make sure that Mia couldn't hear a word of my phone call and pressed the phone to my ear.

"Hello Modest!" A voice on the other line said.

"Hello, it's Harry." I said in a hushed voice. "I know it's after regular business hours and my representatives are probably not available, but I have a request to make. Could you pass it along to one of them in the morning?"

"Of course, Mr. Styles. Hold on one second, I just have to verify your phone number. We've had a few people this year call and try to impersonate you." There was a laugh on the other line and I laughed along just to sound polite. "Okay, and what would your request be?"

"I need the Roden family to stop releasing stories about their daughter, Mia Roden. This includes her ex-fiance, Matthew Miles. I need my people to contact them and offer them ten thousand pounds each to stop releasing interviews to the press and to pull any story of her that's out there right now."

"Are- are you sure, Mr. Styles?" The man on the other end said.

"Positive. And please, when they come in tomorrow, let them know that this is urgent business."

"Of course, sir." The man said. "I will let them know as soon as they come in tomorrow morning and it will be done."

"Thank you." I smiled. "That's all."

"Take care, Mr. Styles." The voice said.

"Same to you." I replied before hanging up. I sighed, hoping that all of the havoc with the media would come to an end. Right on cue, Mia came out of the bathroom with wet hair and her pajamas on.

"Were you talking to somebody?" Mia furrowed her eyebrows.

"Yeah, it was just business stuff with Modest! Management. Nothing to worry about." I smiled. "Did you have a nice shower? Shit, that's sounds strange."

  "I did." Mia grinned.

I felt bad sort of lying to Mia, but I didn't want her to find out that I was basically bribing her friends and family and paying them. I couldn't imagine how she would have reacted to that, and I intended on never finding out. Little white lies were harmless. I would know, I sang a song about them.

.

.

A few hours later, Mia and I sleepily sat in the front of the bus in hopes to spot the Perseid meteor shower. I had drank most of my kale shake, while Mia took small sips and pretended she liked it. I could see her out of the corner of my eye take big gulps of Coke after she took a sip.

"Do you like it?" I asked.

  "It's great, Harry." Mia smiled.

"Do you want me to make you another?"

"No!" Mia said. "I mean, no thanks."

"You're such a bad liar." I laughed. "It's okay if you don't like it, Mia, kale shakes aren't for everyone."

"It tastes like dirt." Mia wrinkled her nose. "Do you want the rest?"

"Yeah, give it here." I said. She reached over and handed me the shake, which I happily took. The whole time she drank hers I was silently hoping that she would end up giving it to me, and I was victorious.

"Okay, so it's four thirty now and the meteor shower should be here any minute." Mia squealed excitedly. "I'm so excited! I've never seen anything like one of these before."

"Neither have I." I admitted. "Should I Instagram a picture of it? I think I should Instagram a picture of it. I'll caption it 'meteor showerstagram'."

"Another one of your made up words?" Mia teased.

"Yes, it is." I defended myself. "And I'll have you know-"

"Look!" Mia screamed. "There it is, there's the meteor shower!"

Suddenly, I looked up in the sky to see many things that looked like falling stars plummeting down towards Earth. Beside me, Mia was smiling like crazy. Her eyes lit up in excitement and she didn't dare take them off of the meteor shower for one second. I quickly snapped a picture of her and the meteor shower before putting my phone away and enjoying the show in front of me.

"Isn't that crazy how the universe can do that?" Mia gaped. "Like, we're so small and the world is so big and we're getting a front row view of the universe in action. It makes me feel so tiny compared to it."

"Very true." I added. While her eyes never left the breathtaking meteor shower, mine kept finding their way back to her face. Something about watching her in such amazement just made me feel so warm inside and I couldn't explain it.

  "It's so beautiful." Mia said.

"Yeah." I smiled as I looked at her. "Beautiful."
