Patton and Alex finally coaxed Virgil into going out of his room and walk around the garden.

Tatiana snuck in, glancing around. Seeing the three walking, she smiled evilly. She set the sash in their path, immediately darting out.

"What about Jeffery-" Alex froze, looking at the sash in front of them.

Virgil huffed. "If you say one more word about him- Why'd you stop?" Virgil looked at him curiously. Patton caught on quicker, following Alex's eyes and gasping in horror. Virgil raised an eyebrow and looked where they were, freezing. "Oh – oh my snakes."

Alex slowly walked over and picked it up. He sniffed, looking at it. He practically grew up with Roman, as his parents were knights as well. Alex handed it to Patton, who shakily took it. "Get inside, Virgil's room. Zoldyck, get Hill on door guard. Get Gist on it too."

Patton handed the sash to Virgil, who took it. The dad-like man smiled sadly.

Alex tugged Virgil's sleeve, the two running into the castle. Alex ran to wherever the knights were, getting the two he was told to. Only rings later, the two guards were in place and Alex and Virgil were in the latter's room. Virgil hugged himself, only for his arms to be replaced by Alex's. They hugged for over a bell, Virgil shaking and whimpering, Alex silently crying.

Patton broke the news to Thomas and Logan as softly as possible. But that did barely anything. Thomas still broke down and cried. Logan still looked down in sorrow.

Eventually, the whole castle knew.
