Living all on his own after leaving the Deceptions was harder than Starscream originally thought, but then again perhaps he had gone soft while living on the Nemesis. It wasn't like he could just go back; Megatron would have his helm if he did and joining the Autobots wasn't an option either because they would just keep him as a prisoner. Being a loner wasn't all bad seeing that he could go out on a flight whenever he wanted to, although it was also very lonely and he wished that he had companionship from a fellow flier. Starscream would often think about his life on Cybertron and how he always had someone to keep him company. He thought about his brothers, his cousins, Skyfire and the seeker femmes he used to flirt with whenever he went to the finest bar in Vos.

Energon was also hard to come by; usually whenever he found a mine it had already been stripped bare with only small slivers of energon crystals left behind. Starscream's reserves were already dangerously low, it was a miracle he hadn't fallen into emergency stasis already. One day after detecting a signal for a new energon mine, Starscream grabbed his groundbridge remote and typed in the coordinates and ran through the groundbridge as soon as it opened, not wasting any time. After coming out of the other side he saw that no one else was around yet, meaning he was the first one to detect it; the mine was located within a cave in the middle of a forest, somewhere that no one knew about. Right before Starscream was about to enter the cave he spotted what appeared to be a small escape pod which had crash landed somewhat nearby.

"Now then, what do we have here?" Starscream mumbled to himself after putting the groundbridge remote in his subspace, feeling curious all of a sudden.

The escape pod wasn't from Cybertron due to its much smaller size and the metal it was made from, meaning it must have come from somewhere else. Starscream didn't know why he was checking out the wreckage instead of collecting energon; he chalked it down to being incredibly lonely. Once he was close enough, he spotted what appeared to be a human laying on the ground, but then he saw the pair of brown wings on her back and knew she wasn't a human at all. Out of all the alien species Starscream had seen during his life he never saw anything like what he was seeing. The young woman had burn wounds on her body and her clothes were torn, obviously from the crash landing.

Starscream knelt down once he was close enough and carefully picked the young woman up, making sure to be extra careful with her wings. (Y/n) was unconscious upon crash landing on Earth and getting out of the escape pod she took after she escaped the galra who tried to take her as a slave. As he held her in his palm, Starscream's spark pulsed faster in its chamber; the winged woman was so beautiful and unique to him. He couldn't just leave her to be eaten by something, so he decided that he was going to give her a safe place to live. The trip back to the Harbinger was quick enough; Starscream would be back to collect as much energon as he could in no time.

After being captured by a galran commander to become a slave during a raid on Thanagar, (Y/n) managed to outsmart the guards and escape in an escape pod. She randomly set the coordinates so that she could get away as soon as possible, not wanting to be caught while escaping. The trip through space wasn't as long as she thought it would be, a week at best, but unfortunately the pod she was in ran out of power and crash landed on a small blue and green planet. The crash landing was a hard one and (Y/n) got out of the pod as quickly as she could, passing out on the ground soon after. In her unconscious state, she was completely unaware of what was lurking around in the forest.

While (Y/n) was laying unconscious on a metal table, Starscream managed to get most of the energon out of the mine so that he could store it in the deepest part of the Harbinger where no one would get to it. He was happy with himself for finding so much of it and started refining a few thick crystals so that he could refuel as soon as possible. A quiet groan caught his attention and he walked over to the table where he laid the woman he rescued, thankful she was still alive. As (Y/n) began to slowly wake up she felt very chilly and shivered, not knowing where she was. She obviously wasn't outside anymore which caused her to wake up faster, a loud groan escaping past her lips when she felt how sore her body was.

"I see that you're finally awake." Starscream said quietly while watching (Y/n), practically studying her; in a way he was since he had never seen anything like her before.

"Where... where am I?" (Y/n) queried in confusion while she stared up at the metal ceiling, her vision still a little blurry.

Starscream just stood there and waited for the young woman to notice him, knowing that she would be frightened at first. On a normal basis he disliked organic lifeforms, but there was something about the winged woman he really liked; with her beautiful (H/c) hair framing her (S/t) face she looked like an angel to him. For once in his life, Starscream was completely silent as he watched the young woman wake up. He briefly thought about Skyfire and remembered how he liked studying new species, knowing that his old friend would be just as fascinated by what appeared to be a human with wings as he was.

"What the-? Who are you and where did you bring me?!" (Y/n) shrieked when she was awake enough, sitting up and staring up at the tall, skinny mech.

"It's nice to see that you're finally awake. My name is Starscream and I've brought you to my home in the Harbinger." Starscream replied while looking down at (Y/n), speaking in the gentlest tone he could so as not to scare her.

"What are you? And you're not going to eat me, are you?" (Y/n) questioned in fear, unsure of what to think of Starscream; he was unlike anything she had seen before.

"I'm a seeker from the city of Vos on Cybertron. And you have to be kidding, I would never eat anything organic. Besides, I only eat energon. Before you ask me any more ridiculous questions, I found you unconscious near an escape pod. But enough about me, what might your name be, my dear?" Starscream answered sassily, querying about his guest's name.

"My name is (Y/n), I'm from Thanagar." (Y/n) answered, feeling slightly flustered all of a sudden; Starscream was actually quite charming when he wasn't being sassy.

Starscream raised his left optic ridge, asking (Y/n) where Thanagar was; he had never heard of said planet before and was curious about it. If there was a planet where the people had wings, he wanted to hear all about it. (Y/n) told Starscream about her home world as well as certain aspects about her culture; talking about her home made her feel less scared. After she finished speaking she asked the seeker about his home and culture, wondering what his life was like before he ended up on Earth. Starscream loved talking about his old life in Vos and how he was the best flier on Cybertron; he felt a sense of pride when he saw the impressed yet dreamy expression on (Y/n's) face and knew that they were going to get along very well together.

After living together for several months Starscream and (Y/n) ended up falling in love with each other, neither of them caring that they were different species. Starscream saw (Y/n) as an equal rather than an underling, especially since she always treated him with kindness. He stole human furniture and other items whenever he had the chance so that he could give her a fairly decent place to live. It wasn't the best, but (Y/n) appreciated the effort he made to make her more comfortable. She loved watching her significant other fly high above the ground and she loved showing off for him whenever she got the chance.

The Harbinger was big enough for (Y/n) to fly around after she drew herself a map, even though she accidentally got lost a couple of times. One day while her lover was away gathering more energon, she was reading a book while sitting on her large king sized bed and eating her favorite snack, patiently waiting for him to return. So much had happened since she escaped the galra and Starscream rescued her; (Y/n) was happy with how her life had been changed. She knew about Starscream once being a Decepticon and how he wanted to rule over Cybertron, but she noticed how his life goals changed after they started dating. When (Y/n) heard Starscream return via the groundbridge followed by a low groan of pain she got up and flew to the groundbridge room, worried about him.

"Star, are you okay? What happened?" (Y/n) questioned when she flew over to a metal table in the groundbridge room and landed, gasping loudly when she saw her lover badly wounded.

"I encountered Megatron and he gave me a beating for going my separate way. I will need to go into stasis for a while." Starscream answered while venting heavily, smiling at (Y/n) despite leaking energon from his intake.

"B-but I'll miss you." (Y/n) stammered sadly, not wanting to be without her boyfriend for however long the healing process would take.

"I can stay in my holoform; it's going to have fresh scars just like my regular body, but it won't be bleeding. Go wait for me in our room." Starscream assured his mate, speaking as calmly as he could.

(Y/n) solemnly nodded her head before turning around, spreading her wings and flying back to her and Starscream's bedroom; she felt very concerned about her boyfriend since he was so badly injured and she was worried about him dying from his injuries. After she left, Starscream limped to the med bay and started up the stasis pod he recently managed to fix, setting the timer for a few days before putting himself in it. Before he went into recharge, he activated his recently updated holoform; he had yet to show (Y/n) because he wanted to surprise her. Starscream once had a human holoform to blend in with humans, but after getting into a relationship with (Y/n) he got a thanagarian holoform. As soon as he flew into their room and landed near the large bed he stole for his girlfriend, (Y/n's) eyes widened; she found herself blushing when she realized who flew into the large berthroom.

"Starscream, is it really you?" (Y/n) whisper-asked, unable to believe her eyes; the tall, skinny male in front of her was incredibly sexy, especially when he spread his impressive gray wings.

"Of course it's me." Starscream responded in a fake insulted tone, puffing his chest out and fanning his wings out further.

(Y/n's) blush darkened when Starscream showed off his new holoform; on Thanagar, he would have been considered very desirable. Starscream smirked when he saw how flustered (Y/n) was after he proudly displayed himself, closing his wings before laying front first on the bed and letting out a quiet groan. (Y/n) scooted over to her boyfriend and sat next to him, lightly massaging his scalp with her fingers. She was well aware of how sensitive a seeker's back and wings were, thanagarians had a similar sensitivity; she would definitely be using that to her advantage within the next few days.

"Thank you for being here for me, my angel." Starscream muttered breathlessly against the blankets, feeling relaxed during his scalp massage.

"Just relax, my shining star. You're safe with me." (Y/n) whispered soothingly, smiling while gazing down at him; she was looking forward to the next few days.

Starscream quietly sighed, feeling oddly excited and happy; usually he disliked being in his holoform, but being in his holoform while spending time with (Y/n) was worth it. He looked forward to treating her like a queen, taking flights in the morning with each other, cooking meals together and giving her a good back massage, knowing what kind of effect it would have on his beautiful angel. There were so many other things he wanted to do with her, but in that moment all he could do was relax. (Y/n) let her gaze wander over Starscream's wings and back, seeing the scars carried over from his cybertronian body. She had a big influence on the seeker's life and hoped to one day live in peace with him, maybe even raise a few children together.
