People get you confused all the time. They always mistake you for something you're not. They say you're jealous, angry, and overprotective but you're not. Just because you give a few glares now and then doesn't mean any of it. Sometimes you can't help it. But everyone says that you hate her. You don't hate her! She's really nice, you just hate her company.

"You there?" Violet asks, waving her hand in front of your face.

"Oh, sorry. I must've spaced out." You say.

Honestly, Violet is amazing. She's a great friend and you'd never hurt her, but recently she's been spending loads of time with Henry. You don't hate her for it, but you get upset with Henry. He would leave you in a second to go hang out with Violet and that really hurts.

"It's ok," Violet smiles, "I usually get lost in thought myself when I tend to the horses."

You smile and nod. She brought you into the barn today so that you could see the horses, and when she had to clean them you insisted to help her. Like you've said; she's your friend. When people say you're jealous, angry and overprotective they think it's towards Violet, but it's not. It's towards Henry.

"Hey, Violet." Henry calls, walking into the barn.

Speak of the Devil. You turn around and look over at Henry. He smiles and hugs Violet hello, then after a moment of silence he looks up at you.

"Oh, hi (Y/n). I didn't see you there." Henry says.

Well, that's where your anger comes in. Around Violet you don't exist.

"Yeah, hi." You say, and turn around again to comb the horse.

"What are you doing here?" Violet asks.

Come on Violet, you already know the answer.

"I came to see you." Henry says.

There it is.

"Oh, that's so nice of you." Violet says.

"Do you want to do something today?" Henry asks.

"I'd love to, but I can't."

"Why not?"

"I promised to spend the day with (Y/n). I don't brake my promises."

Ha, take that Mayor's boy.

"Oh, ok." Henry says, his voice sad.

You turn around sighing and walk over to them, but you don't say anything.

"Well, I suppose I'll leave you two then." Henry says.

"Yep." You say.

"Ok, goodbye Henry." Violet smiles.

When she smiles at him he instantly perks up and smiles back.

"Bye." He waves, and walks out of the barn.

"Back to the horses." You say.

"Yes." Violet nods.

You both walk over to the horses to continue combing them.

"Hey, Violet?" You ask.

"Yes?" She smiles.

"Because we're going to spend the day together, do you want to go to the park? We can stop by Granny's Diner on the way so we can feed the ducks."

"That sounds lovely, (Y/n)."

---

When you got home that night, and by home you mean Mary Margaret and David's apartment, because you wanted to sleep over for a bit, you told them all about your day.

"It was so much fun." You admit.

"That's really good, (Y/n)." Mary Margaret smiles.

"Yeah, keep your friends close and your enemies closer." David says.

"David."

Mary Margaret smacks him on his arm. He whinces and holds it.

"She's not my enemy." You say, hands turning into balls of fists, "Why does everyone think that?"

"Because you like Henry," David says, "and he likes Violet."

You huff and swing yourself off the chair by the kitchen and run upstairs. You hate it when people think you're jealous! You're not jealous. If anything, you're jealous about all the attention Henry gives her.

"(Y/n)," Mary Margaret calls, walking up the stairs.

"What?" You ask, already lying down on the bed.

You pull a pillow under your arms and cross them over it, laying your chin on them. You stare at the wall as you feel the bed tilt from Mary Margaret sitting down.

"I understand it must be hard, but you can't hate her for it." She says.

"I don't hate her!" You argue, "Everyone thinks I do but I don't. She's my friend!"

"Ok, ok (Y/n). So why are you angry?"

"Because everyone assumes that I don't like her."

"Why do you think they do that for?"

"Because it's obvious I have a crush on Henry."

Mary Margaret hums and nods, wanting you to continue talking.

"And it's obvious that he doesn't have one on me. He likes Violet." You say.

"And that makes you upset?" Mary Margaret asks.

"No,"

You sigh and roll over so that you can look at Mary Margaret.

"It makes me sad."

Mary Margaret puts her hand on your arm and tries her best to smile at you in a soft way that won't make you feel any more worse than you already do.

"You want to spend more time with Henry." Mary Margaret says.

"Yes, I do." You sigh, "But lately to him I don't exsit."

Mary Margaret rubs your arm for comfort and starts telling you a story about how she was upset with a friend back in the Enchanted Forest. When she's finished her Tale and you go to sleep, she goes downstairs to get ready to lecture David.

---

You laugh as Killian cracks another great joke. He can always make people smile, that's why he's your favorite adult. As everyone else laughs you flicker your gaze to Henry, who is standing next to Emma and Regina. He's laughing as well.

"Who knew pirates have a sense of humor." Robin says.

"Hey, mate. Don't offend me." Killian chuckles.

David and Robin begin to converse and Killian joins in after talking to Emma. Then Emma, Regina, Mary Margaret and you and Henry start talking. It's late in the afternoon and you all were headed to the same place, Granny's Diner, when you bumped into each other. Then you guys stopped and started talking and forgot all about lunch.

"(Y/n), want to come with Henry and I back home? We can have a movie night." Regina suggests.

"That would be lovely," You say, "but I'm caught up in homework. We have an exam tomorrow at school."

"Oh yeah, I completely forgot about that." Henry says.

"Well then come over to study." Regina says.

"No way. You always check up on us every minute and feed us biscuits." Henry laughs.

You laugh as well and so does Emma and Mary Margaret.

"Thanks for the offer, Regina." You say.

"How about we study at Granny's? Have dinner while we're there?" Henry asks you.

You almost fall over when he suggests a night out with him. He wants to spend time with you?

"Uh, sure!" You smile.

"Great. I'll meet you at 6:00." He smiles back.

---

Mary Margaret helped you look nice for tonight by letting you wear one of her nice dresses she had when she was younger. It was altered to look more modern so you thanked her and rushed over to Granny's Diner.

"Here so soon?" Ruby asks, walking you over to a table.

"You heard, huh?" You ask.

"Yeah, Emma told me."

You smile and sit down in the booth with your view towards the door.

"It's not even 6 o'clock yet." Ruby laughs.

You look up at the clock to see it read 5:45.

"Better than to be late." You say.

Ruby nods and walks off back into the kitchen. You make yourself comfortable and wait for Henry. And wait. And wait. It's 6:15 and he's not here yet, but you don't care and just continue to wait for him.

Then it's 6:30 and Ruby asks if you want something to eat. You tell her that you'll wait for Henry, but she just smiles sadly and walks away. So you wait some more. And some more. Until it's 7:12 and there's no sign of Henry.

You sigh and take your phone out thinking that maybe he's messaged you, but he hasn't. You decide not to be too desprate and leave a voicemail, so you ask Ruby for a drink. When it's 7:45 and your drink is finished, you start losing hope. Ruby's asked if you want some food but you keep saying no. So far your appetite isn't that great.

You sigh as you look at the clock once more; 8:05. Where is Henry? When it's 8:20 you finally decide to order some food, and Ruby makes it on the house for you. She watches you from behind the counter as it gets later and later. You just stare out the window next to the booth and play with the paper straw.

8:50 and still no sign of Henry. You tell yourself that when it reaches 9 o'clock you'll be leaving. Then suddenly the front door opens and you immediately perk up and look to see if Henry has finally made it. But it's Grumpy and all he wants is a coffee.

You sigh and sink back down in your seat. There are only a few people left in the Diner and to be honest, you haven't really touched your food.

"Hey," Grumpy says, seeing you sitting alone, "can I sit?"

You nod silently and he slides into the booth, sitting across from you.

"What are you doing here alone?" He asks.

"I'm waiting for Henry." You say.

"Oh, is he coming here at nine?"

"No. He was supposed to be here at six."

"Oh,"

Grumpy looks over at Ruby behind the counter and she just sadly shrugs her shoulders. To be honest, they both expected more of him. He's a great kid, he'd never stand someone up, but yet here you are.

"Hey, don't give up hope. I'm sure whatever his reason is for not being here is important as hell." Grumpy says.

"Yeah," You nod.

---

Waiting by the bus stop you think about last night. Grumpy and Ruby were really supportive. Ruby kicked everyone out by 9:30 and sat with you and Grumpy. She even heated up your food and you all ate and talked together. If your original reason for being at the Diner wasn't Henry, then last night would've been a great night.

You had told Ruby and Grumpy your feelings towards Henry. Grumpy was straight to the point and told you that you should tell him, but you're too scared. Now, waiting for the bus for school, you think maybe you will tell him. Maybe then he'll stop ignoring you... or ignore you even more.

"(Y/n)!" Henry shouts, running over to you, "I have something to tell you."

"Me too." You say.

"Really?"

"Yeah, but you go first."

"Ok. I had the most amazing night last night! Violet and I rode horses around the paddock and then I walked her home. Can you believe it? I spent the night with the most amazing girl in Storybrooke."

Your heart crushes inside your chest but you do your best to look happy for him.

"That's awesome!" You smile.

"Yeah! What did you want to tell me?" Henry asks.

"Nothing. I just realized it's not important."

"Oh, ok."

The bus finally pulls up at the stop and you and Henry walk inside and sit down at the back. Henry tells you all about his night during the bus ride but you don't really listen. You nod every now and then but that's it. When you reach the school and you all file off the bus, Henry smacks his head with his hand.

"Oh, how was your night?" He asks.

"It was fine." You say bluntly.

"What did you do?"

"I waited."

You walk faster as soon as you enter the school building and Henry has to rush to keep up with you.

"Waited?" He asks.

"At Granny's. Alone." You say.

Walking up the stairs Henry immediately feels guilty.

"Oh my gosh. I completely forgot. You must want to kill me." He says, trying his best to catch up to you.

He's noticed that you're not walking to class, class is downstairs, but then he sees that you're making your way over to the Principle's office.

"No, I don't." You say in reply.

"I'm really sorry, (Y/n). I totally spaced." Henry apologies.

But you don't listen and continue to walk to the office.

"(Y/n). (Y/n)!" He shouts.

Before you can open the door to the office, Henry pulls you back and sees that you're crying. You get angry and shove him off of you.

"Have a great life with Violet." You say through tears, "You two deserve each other."

With that you pull open the door and walk inside the Principle's office. The Principle is standing at the back with a book in her hand, and when she hears the door open she looks up to see you crying.

"(Y/n)?" Mary Margaret says concerned, "What happened?"

"He stood me up." You say, "He stood me up for Violet."

Mary Margaret immediately puts the book down on her desk and rushes over to you to hug you. You cry as she comforts you and hug her back.

"I'm so sorry." She says, "(Y/n), I'm so sorry."

---

Henry has tried to call you on your phone but you don't answer any of his calls. In fact, you've been ignoring him completely since he left you for Violet. You still talk to her, but you're not talking to Henry. When you would sit in class he'd take the seat next to you and you'd get up and sit somewhere else.

When it eventually became a week of you ignoring him, he tried to reach you at home. Mary Margaret would answer the door and tell him to leave as you didn't want to speak to him. Once, when Mary Margaret was out, David answered the door. Henry tried to walk inside but David stopped him and Henry saw you looking down at him from upstairs.

"Just let me talk to you!" He shouted, but you just turned around and David closed the door.

Then he tried throwing pebbles at the window by your bed. You kept ignoring him though. After a while, when it became two weeks, he tried to get someone to talk to you for him, but no matter who it was you wouldn't listen. When you'd leave the apartment and walk around Storybrooke, he'd try to run after you but you'd always lose him.

He got so desperate that he even asked his mother, Regina, if she could transport him to your bedroom. She said no and Henry got upset. He continued leaving voicemails but you never replied to any of them. Eventually by the third week he stopped, so you thought it was ok to walk around without having to get ready to run away.

In the library you read a book. You come here on Tuesday when you want to read something, and Belle now lets you in even if it's closed. She's even given you a spare key. At the moment the library is empty and you're the only one inside. Then suddenly, when you thought you were safe from him, Henry walks out from behind a bookshelf almost scaring you.

"(Y/n)," He starts.

"No." You say, shutting your book and pushing it back into the shelf, "I don't want to talk to you."

"Just hear me out."

"Don't you understand that I want to he alone?"

"Please, (Y/n)."

"Get out." You say, and walk away from him.

He walks after you so you run around a corner and behind a bookshelf. Henry follows you so you continue to run away, but he eventually catches up to you and grabs your arm.

"Let go off me! Get off!" You shout.

"Just listen to me!" Henry shouts back.

"No!"

When you try to struggle Henry grabs your other arm and pushes you up against a bookshelf.

"Listen to me!" He says.

"Henry, let me go." You argue.

"Not until you listen."

"How'd you even get in here?"

"Belle gave me a space key as well. She told me you'd be here."

The one place you'd be alone. Sometimes you hate how big the family tree is in Storybrooke.

"Now, will you listen to me?" He asks.

You shake your head.

"Well too bad because you can't keep ignoring me forever."

You try to wiggle free from his hold but his grip is strong.

"(Y/n), I don't like Violet!" Henry says.

"What?" You ask.

"I don't have a crush on Violet."

"Then why were you spending all that time with her? Why did you keep ignoring me and stood me up for her?"

"Because I thought I liked her, but (Y/n) I don't. I realized that when you started ignoring me."

"I don't understand." You say.

"Why do you think I've been running after you for all these weeks? It's because I love you." Henry admits.

You stare at him in confusion. Your angry expression softens until you furrow your eyebrows again and push Henry off of you.

"If you love me then you wouldn't have treated me the way you did." You say.

"I know, I know I was stupid but the only stupid thing here is how blind I am to love." Henry says, "(Y/n) my heart would always flutter when you were around me. I was just too ignorant to understand why."

You feel yourself beginning to cry. When Henry tries to comfort you, you walk away from him.

"I was stupid, too." You say, "I thought I loved you but I was wrong. I don't."

"You don't?" Henry asks, slightly angry but mostly sad.

"I don't. That's the stupid thing about love, Henry. You don't know if it's real or not. For me, it isn't. I don't love you."

Tears roll down Henry's cheeks as you admit yourself to him. This is the first time you've seen him so broken.

"Goodbye, Henry." You say, and turn around.

Before you leave, though, Henry stops you one last time.

"(Y/n)!" He calls, "Just know, no matter what, no matter how old I am, I will always love you."

With your back turned to him he can't see the tears falling from your eyes, but you're crying, because you will always love him too.

Hmm, sounds a bit familiar doesn't it? Unlike my Hiccup x Reader where it ended like this, I'm willing to make a part two for this Imagine. Let me know if you'd like to read a continuation to this.
