Charu, are you ready?" Vivek asked, buttoning his black sequin coat. His wife, Charu, was in the bathroom, meticulously setting her clothes and hair.

"Why is your wife always late?" Vivek's mother, Asha, chimed in, wearing her daughter-in-law's ruby necklace with a sly smile.

"Ma, she'll be here soon. Let's focus on looking our best for the event. Remember, we represent the Poddar family, and the media will be present," Vivek replied, adjusting a shimmering brooch on his coat.

"Let's head downstairs," Asha suggested, leading the way, with Vivek following suit.
"Mumma? Another wound?" Chitra, Charu and Vivek's  daughter, inquired as she noticed a deep red mark on her mother's back.

Charu quickly covered the mark with her blouse, trying to divert her daughter's attention. "I just slipped, Chiru. It's nothing to worry about, dear."

"Don't lie, Mumma! I know Dad has be..beaten you again. I had heard your screams yesterday afternoon." Chitra replied her voice shaking and her black eyes brimming with tears.

Charu, for once, dropped her facade. "Chiru, please promise me you won't tell anyone. It's a delicate matter and please talk in a low tone, your dad will hear" she pleaded stepping into her room from the bathroom.

"For how long, Mumma? Dad has gone too far this time. You always endure silently for the sake of the family, his family. Please, consider getting a divorce." Chitra implored, her words laced with bravery

The room fell into a heavy silence as Charu pondered about her daughter's suggestion, contemplating the weight of her sacrifices and the wellbeing of her family.

Ronit ran towards Asmita, his heart pounding with excitement as he saw her elegant figure entering the house. She was dressed in a maroon anarkali suit, her hair cascading down her shoulders like a waterfall of brown silk, and her diamond earrings sparkling like stars in the night sky.

"Hello, Ronie!" Asmita greeted him with a warm smile, her eyes lighting up at the sight of her beloved.

"Namaste, uncle and aunty. Welcome to the party. Please make yourselves at home," Ronit welcomed Asmita's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Raghuvanshi, with respect and affection.

"We received the wonderful news! You both look like a match made in heaven!" Mr. Raghuvanshi remarked, his eyes filled with pride and love for the young couple.

"Kiaan! It's a pleasure to have you here. Welcome to the party!" Rohit embraced Mr. Raghuvanshi, and the two men exchanged smiles and pleasantries.

"Hello, Veena! You look absolutely stunning tonight," Ruhi complimented Mrs. Raghuvanshi, who blushed and returned the kind words with a gracious smile.

After ushering the elders inside, Ronit stopped Asmita from following them and took her hand in his.

"I have something special planned. Trust me and come with me," Ronit whispered in Asmita's ear, a mischievous twinkle in his eye.

Asmita's heart fluttered at Ronit's words, and she followed him into the hall, curious and excited about what he had in store.

Once inside, the lights dimmed, and a spotlight illuminated the couple, casting a magical glow around them.

"Good evening, everyone! Tonight is a special night for me for two reasons. The second reason, my recent victory, is making headlines. But the first reason, standing right beside me, is this beautiful woman—Asmita Raghuvanshi, my soon-to-be wife. I am thrilled to announce that we will be getting married soon!" Ronit declared, his voice filled with love and joy.

Asmita's eyes widened in astonishment and delight at Ronit's unexpected announcement, her heart overflowing with love for the man who had just declared his lifelong commitment to her in front of their family and friends. The room erupted in applause and cheers as the couple embraced.

''Congratulations Ronit!'' Vivek exclaimed from behind Ronit, causing the couple to look back.

''Charu bua-sa, Vivek phupha-sa, welcome! Please come forward.'' Ronit said and lead them to the front.

''Lights please!'' He exclaimed clapping his hands and the hall lit brightly.

''Charu!'' Kajal came and hugged her daughter, causing her to flinch due to the pain in her back.

''Wh..what happened?'' Kajal asked, concerned as she looked at her daughter.

''I am having a back pain mom, actually I had slipped in the bathroom. Thankfully Vivek ji was there to help me'' Charu lied.

''So sweet of him'' Kajal praised Vivek unknown to Charu's real condition.

''Let us take blessings'' Asmita told Ronit and he nodded starting walking towards Vidya but Asmita walked past him and went towards Kaveri.

Ronit knit his eyebrows seeing her.

''Par dadi-sa, bless me and Ro..'' she did not find her fiance beside her.

''Ronit, seek blessings from par dadi-sa. She is the matriarch after all.'' Asmita told Ronit and he reluctantly bowed before Kaveri.

Kaveri blessed the couple.

Vidya observing this moment from afar, scrunched her eyebrows and sighed.

Asmita and Ronit then touched Madhav and Vidya's feet, followed by Manisha and Manoj, Sanjay and Kajal, Rohit and Ruhi, Aryan, Charu and her family, Krish and his family and Mrs and Mr. Raghuvanshi.

''Kiara bua didn't come Aryan chacha-sa?'' Asmita asked and he nodded his head in a no.

''She and her husband are in Europe for a business trip. I will tell her this good news. Believe me Asmita, she will be over the moon!'' Aryan exclaimed happily making Asmita smile.

''I hope, Ronit gets in the right track after his marriage with Asmita. She is indeed a very good girl.'' Kaveri told Madhav

''I hope he gets a piece of mind'' Ruhita mused to Kaveri.

''She is definitely the right one for Ronit. For once, Ronit is right par dadisa'' Ragini said.

''Mujhe inse acche vibes aarahi hai.'' It was Alaukik.

''She will prove to be a beacon of hope, love and light for this house.'' Eklavya chimed in.

-------------------------

''AAAAAAAAA! Mumma!'' A shrill cry from Abhimaan, made Abhira and Armaan rush towards the backyard.

''What happened?'' Abhira saw Abhimaan lying on the floor, the flower pots broken and the basket ball lying beside him.

''How did you fall like this?'' Armaan questioned trying to lift him up.

''I came with the basket...WHAT HAPPENED MAAN?'' Raunak jumped and rushed to his best friend.

I think I've sprained my thigh," Abhimaan winced, the discomfort evident in his voice. "I can't put any weight on it."

"We need to get you to the doctor, right now!" Abhira exclaimed.

"Raunak, help Abhimaan up. I'll go start the car," Armaan instructed, already sprinting towards the front of the house to fetch the vehicle.
