Ally looked at Tatiana sleeping on her lap with a frown on her face. She couldn’t believe Tatiana was here in her bedroom, the girl who threatened her when they met. How did she even get in? Ally thought and saw the window open. She had a two-story house and there was nothing to help you climb up or down the wall so she couldn’t have climbed up. Ally gave up thinking and adjusted Tatiana’s sleeping body as she lay next to her and drifted to sleep easily. It was a hard day on her with Karly making her do all kind of stuff so she could feel good about herself.

Nathaniel was back in his house, he was sitting in the backyard next to the pool on a garden lounge chair. He couldn’t describe how he felt. It was horrible, he never imagined his mate could reject him like that, it rarely happened and he was confused about it. He thought about what Hayley told him and ran a hand through his dirty hair, I might have waited too long to confess but I haven’t lost yet. I can’t let her be with anyone, she’s mine and only mine. Nathaniel broke the bier bottle slamming it to the ground as he jumped in the cool water of the pool enjoying the feeling of water caressing his body and washing away his worries and burden. He knew he couldn’t take a decision while he was angry it would only hurt him and many people too as it always happen.

Next morning Thalia woke up and stretched, she saw Ally sleeping next to her and frowned but in less than a second, everything came back to her. She smiled and got out of bed attempting to leave without waking up her friend but it didn’t work.

“Sneaking out?” Ally asked smiling “Nothing happened between us don’t worry” she teased her and sat up in bed.

“Don’t worry I wasn’t that drunk”

Ally smiled “Yeah I wish you were maybe we would have some fun” she winked playfully, she didn’t know why but she was happy that Tatiana was here.

Thalia chuckled “you sure haven’t changed,” she whispered thinking Ally hasn’t heard her. Ally frowned and immediately stood up facing the girl in front of her.

“What did you say?” Ally’s eyes were piercing and Thalia didn’t know what to say she just stood her ground and looked at her friend speechless.

Without thinking, Ally hugged Thalia tightly and started crying “I.knew.it.was.you! I.just.knew.it!” She said between sobs leaving Thalia staring at the wall blankly not even returning the hug. A few minutes later, Ally calmed down and looked at Thalia as if realization hit her.

“But…How?”

Thalia sat on the bed and said nothing, she was thinking of a way out of it; part of her wanted to brainwash her friend and make her forget everything while the other part just wanted to tell her everything! She missed Ally’s company and wanted her back as her best friend. Can she handle the truth?

“Thalia? What are you thinking about? Is that what you meant yesterday? You asked me if I could keep a secret, is that your secret?”

“Yes” was all she could say.

Ally took a deep breath and sat next to her taking a deep breath before releasing it and speaking again.

“I promise no soul will know about this, but tell me everything, how are you…um…”

“Alive?”

“Um yeah… sorry”

“Don’t be.” She thought for a little moment and sighed “I’m alive because I never died” She found herself lying, she couldn’t tell her the truth, she would scare her away and lose her friend for good. “I faked my death so I can have my life back, I couldn’t live with such humiliation,” she said thinking of what Hayley said yesterday when she confronted her about her identity.

Ally gasped “Thalia you really did that? This is crazy! I can’t believe you did that and made us all feel guilty and sorry for you!”

Thalia’s gaze immediately found her horrified friend’s expression and she groaned a bit “Really?? Thank you for feeling bad! You really are a good friend! You can’t believe how hard it was for me to be there on my own! Every day I wished I could just rewind history and not do what I did! Every day I wished that I had friends who truly loved me! Every day I wished that you didn’t let me down! You betrayed me… you preferred becoming more popular and take my place instead of being there for me!” Thalia wiped her tears, she hadn’t noticed she was crying before now. She looked at hr friend who was also crying. “I shouldn’t have told you anything” She shook her head and stood up ready to leave.

Ally stopped her and pulled her back to the bed. She hugged her tightly crying again “I’m sorry! I just didn’t know what to do! I was blinded and Karly… you know how she can be! I’m not putting all the blame on her but she’s the main reason I left you alone” she pulled away and looked at Thalia holding her shoulders “I’m so sorry Thalia I really am and I wish I can make it up to you”.

Thalia could hear the sincerity in Ally’s voice but she couldn’t trust her anymore, not like before. She stood up and went to the door “You can’t make it up to me. Ally, you should feel guilty more than anyone else, because you left when I most needed you. I can’t remember a day when you needed me and I wasn’t there… It pains me you did that to me.” She opened the door and took a step out before realizing she could go and tell Karly everything. She stepped back in and focused on her eyes “All you heard from me today won’t be said, written, drawn or anything to anyone. Understood?”

Ally shivered and just nodded as she broke out of her trance.

Thalia walked out of her house angry, as she never was before, not even as angry as she felt when Liam held Nathaniel. Nathan… She shook her head frustrated; she won’t allow herself to think of him. Not after all those lies he said to her. Thalia went to the woods and fed on about three deers, she was really thirsty. She went by the pond, knelt down and washed her face. Feeling someone was behind her she carefully stood up and spun around skeptically to see James leaning on a tree smiling at her. God I love that smile! She slapped her forehead and looked at him, waiting him to attack.

“James” she politely greeted him when he said nothing and kept flashing her his stupid sexy smirk.

“Yeah baby, in the flesh”

“Who did that to you?” she asked feeling hatred for whoever turned him.

“Did what? Giving me powers I never dreamed of? Giving me the possibility to see you again? To know you’re alive? Liam did, and I’m grateful”

“Grateful? James look at you! You’re a monster now!”

“No I’m not. I’m a teenage vampire boy who is in love with a teenage vampire girl” he said coyly and smiled taking a step closer to her.

Thalia couldn’t help but smile his smile was contagious and she found herself grinning like a fool.

“What are you doing?” she asked taking a step back with every step he took closer to her.

James cornered her to the tree and flashed her a dazzling smile before leaning dangerously close to her lips. She couldn’t move she didn’t want to move, she wanted to taste his lips again and wanted to feel loved for who she really was, not for an old mate or something. To her satisfaction, James leaned even closer closing the distance and crashing his lips to hers. Their kiss was slow, long and breathless. They didn’t need to break it and it made it more intense. Next second they were on the ground with James kissing her all over her neck as he fondled with her breasts through her shirt. A low moan escaped her lips and she wrapped her legs around his waist pressing him closer to her, she couldn’t believe she was doing this but she wanted him.

James returned his attention to her lips and grazed his teeth to her lower lip loving the taste of her blood in his mouth. He was crazy about Thalia and always regretted dating Karly, she was nothing like her and always wanted to show him she was better. James was happy here with Thalia and forgot about everything else, except the fact that he wanted to take her here and now and claim her as his girl again.

Nathaniel woke up to the faint voice of Thalia saying his name in his mind, he jumped up happy thinking she came back to her senses and tried reaching her through their mind link but she was blocking him completely from her mind. He felt a bit disappointed but didn’t want to make a big deal of it. Nathan tried to reach Cynthia through her mind but she was blocking him too.

He sighed and went to take a shower “Guess I’m alone now” he muttered as he washed his body lazily. When he was cleaned up and dressed, the hot vampire went to the living room and served himself a glass of whisky. Glass after glass he didn’t feel the time go by and was lost in his own world where he was happy with his mate.

As he drank his last glass he felt something in his mind, he focused on it and smiled as he felt Thalia’s mind walls go down. He listened closer to her thoughts and felt something wrong, she was happy and..turned on? He frowned and stood up dropping the glass. He knew he wasn’t drunk, he couldn’t get drunk but at this moment, he wished he were drunk. He was assisting a make out session between his mate and some other male. How dare she!

In minutes, Nathan was able to find her in the woods and saw a familiar figure all over her groping her bosom. Nathan couldn’t control his anger, Thalia is his mate! No one should be able to touch her like that. He would be damned if he let anyone touch her or kiss her like that.

In a blink of an eye he launched toward them pushing James aside and hitting him square in the face hard and fast, blow after blow ad if there was no tomorrow. Thalia adjusted her clothes quickly and gasped when she noticed James was on the verge to lose consciousness. She ran to them and pushed Nathaniel away from James.

“Nate stop please!”

“Why would I stop? You should be kissing me like that! Not him!”Nate was frustrated and angry and was focusing on her eyes to calm down, it always helped when he looked in her eyes, and he always got lost in them. He was so lost that he didn’t notice James attacking him from behind, but he felt the stake sinking deep in his flesh. The last thing he heard was Thalia’s voice.

“James no!” he saw her running to him and holding him to her chest. The last thing he saw and felt was a tear sliding down from her eye and falling on his cheek. Everything went black.
