            After the days passed over, it was finally the weekend which means Natalie's party. It was around 8:15 pm (20:15). Lauren came to pick up (y/n), pulling up in the driveway. Wearing a (f/c) dress that goes up to her knees, (y/n) was ready to head out until her brothers stopped her.

"Where do you think you're going?" Jordan asked, his arm still wrapped up in bandages as his younger brother was standing beside him with his hands in his pocket looking bored.

"I— um, I'm heading out!" (Y/n) stammered as she had her purse on her. The boys took a glance towards one another as James fixed his glasses.

"Yeah, not dressed like that. If I known any better, I'd say you're going to a party." Jordan stated as he narrowed his eyes towards his younger sister who smiled sheepishly. She shuffled a bit in her spot as she looked down towards her shoes.

"I already told mom.. so you don't need to worry.." she mumbled off as her younger brother, James, sighed.

"After what happened this week.." he whispered, "I don't think you should go." He finished as Jordan nodded in agreement. James might not speak much, but he speaks the truth. (Y/n) knew she shouldn't go, but at the same time, her best friend was going and she wanted to go with her. Also, she won't ever get this day back. She wants to live life to the fullest, plus mom already agreed weeks prior.

"I'll be fine, it's only one night." (Y/n) stated as she looked up at her brothers who glared down towards her. They towered her in height wise.

"Fine," Jordan mumbled, "I'm coming too." Before she could protest, the boys vanished in their rooms and in a blink of an eye, or so it felt like that, came out wearing nice shirts and nice dress pants. They look sharp.

"Let's go." With that, the three walked out towards Lauren's car as they said their farewell to their parents for the night. (Y/n) kept her gaze down towards the floor as she followed her brothers towards her best friends car— her face heating up from embarrassment.

Lauren was flabbergasted, but quickly composed herself as she welcomed the new guests that joined her in her car. Soon they made their way to the party. As they pulled up by the house, the sound of the music blasting could be heard for some ways away. Luckily; Natalie lived on the countryside with no neighbors in sight.

"Alright, you guys ready?" Lauren asked as the trio nodded, Lauren smiled and parked the car then getting out to breathe in the fresh air of the night. People staggered in the yard, some already drunk.

Definitely a college party.

"Welp, I'm going in," announced (Y/n), "follow me if you want or stay out here." With that, (y/n) walked in the house followed by the trio. As they entered the loud house, the music and smell of alcohol blasted their faces. Scanning the room, the boys scrunched their nose in disgust as the girls laughed and walked around to talk to their friends while getting a drink from the kitchen.

Jordan sighed as he walked towards the kitchen to grab a drink as well, while James walked towards a dark, empty corner and leaned against the wall as he pulled out his phone; reading a book. (Y/n) and Lauren then walked up to Natalie who was conversing with two other girls. Seeing them, Natalie smiled and greeted the duo who happily replied back.

"I'm so glad you two could make it!" She beamed as she gave them each a small hug.

"I'm so glad to be here—"
"—as am I!" Lauren chirped in.

"Good to hear! Oh, let me introduce you to these two siblings who I've met a while back! Stay right here!" Natalie stated as she disappeared into the crowed in search of the siblings. Lauren and (Y/N) gave each other a quick glance before shrugging their shoulders. After a few minutes had passed, there was still no show of Natalie. More people had showed up and the house seemed to get more crowded; as expected.

"Well I'm not gonna waste anymore time, I came here to have a fun night and forget my troubles." Lauren stated as (Y/N) agreed taking a sip from her cup.

"Let's head in the back by the pool, surely some of our friends are there." (Y/N) informed her friend as the duo made their way in the backyard. Screams of laughter could be heard as a couple just fell into the pool from a game called 'chicken', also known as 'shoulder wars'.

"That would be fun." (Y/N) commented as they sat down on the grass a few feet away from the crowd by the pool. Lauren took a sip from her cup and laughed a bit.

"It would, if we had a significant other," Lauren responded, "it looks like fun." (Y/N) shrugged her shoulders towards her response as she tiredly scanned the backyard, looking over the wooden fence towards the trees.

Nothing. Just emptiness and darkness.

(Y/n) sighed and swirled her cup a bit as Lauren looked over at the couples, envying them. She wanted love, even just for a second.

"Well let's see what my brothers are up too, I'm worried for the older one." She mumbled as Lauren giggled. The two got up and tried to make their way inside into a guy walked into (y/n)'s frame, spilling her half filled drink on her.

On impulse, the two people took a step back as (y/n) looked down at her clothes that was drenched in water.

"Great." She mumbled to herself as the guy in front of her quietly apologized.

"It's fine," she responded, "thankfully it's only water." (Y/n) looked up and met a pair of green eyes. She couldn't exactly see his face well as he had a checkered black/ grey scarf.

"I could get you another drink if you like." He offered as she politely declined, waving her hand in the process.

"I'm good, thank you though. I'm actually looking for some people anyways— not that thirsty either." With that, she tried to walk around him- not giving a care in the world until she felt a hand gently hold her upper arm.

Eyebrow raised, she turned around to the guy who had just let go of her arm.

"What's your name?" He asked politely as she smiled.

"My name's (Y/N), what's yours?"

"My name's Liu."

Idk if I'll be uploading weekly like the last book because of work/ school.

I don't know what college will be like and I'll be working later hours on weekends, plus working on animations on YouTube!! I'll try to keep up with this book, maybe updating every two weeks!!
