(Y/N) looked over to her little brother, James, who was contemplating on what to do. It would be an understatement to say she was scared. She was, in fact, terrified.

"What do we do!" She whispered towards her younger sibling who seemed to only think to himself. He fixed his glasses before tiptoeing to the closet of his elder sibling, James. There, he pulled out a wooden bat.

"Thank God, James was into sports." (Y/N) mumbled to herself as James looked over to his sister.

"Did you check your phone to see if you can call the police?" James asked emotionless, as if he's been in this situation countless of times.

"Yeah," she stuttered out, "my phone instantly died."

"Figures, he must have gotten to it first." He mumbled to himself as their gazes were fixed on the locked door. Silence filled the room as they tried to listen what was happening downstairs. Suddenly, they realized the downstairs was quiet, too quiet.

"U-uh." (Y/N)'s voice trailed off as she fearfully looked over to her sibling. In an instant, James got between her and the door. Holding the wooden bat in front of him as his sister was slightly trembling behind him.

"Listen carefully (Y/N)." He began as he narrowed his eyes at the door.

"If the door opens and it's not Jordan, I need you to get as far as you can away from here. There will be three of them, maybe four. You just need to leave, take the journal and necklace with you. We'll have to get you to your room so you can grab the stuff and leave." He finished as she stood there confused.

"What are you talking about? We all need to leave and get the police—"

"—the police won't help," He interjected, " you have to leave without Jordan and I. You also need the journal and necklace. Jordan and I will try to hold them off as best as we can but you have to escape with the stuff. They don't want us, they want you." Just then the banging could be heard on the other side of the door. James tensed up as he gripped the handle of the bat in his hands.

"But I can't leave you guys here! This isn't making any sense! Who even wants me? I'm a nobody!" She cried out, James glanced behind him before returning his gaze to the door.

"Time is running out. I'll make a clearing to your room. But after that, it's up to you." He told her as the banging grew louder. Just then another voice could be heard.

"Hey g..guys," the voice ticked, "the party has barely b...begone. Open the d..door and it will all be over." An evil laugh could be heard as something sharp hit the door, sending little chunks out from it. The weapon seem to resemble an axe, more precisely a hatchet.

"Knock Knock!" The boy said again, "your brother needs h..help! It's two verses one down there!" He laughed some more as James ushered his sister to get ready.

"Not a fair f..fight is it?" The boy laughed some more as he pulled out his weapon from the door. There he looked in through the crack, he had goggles and a mouth guard on.

"There's she is, it's g..good to see you again!" He ticked as he started kicking the door down. Each kick send a shiver down the girls spine.

"On the count of three, you run behind me and get to your room and leave. Okay?" James said as he kept his gaze on the door that is being kicked down.

"O-okay!" The girl stuttered out James began to count.

"One," the kick sent chunks flying everywhere, "two," her heart pounded loudly as her palms were sweating in fear, "three." Just then, the door was kicked down as James raced towards the intruder and tackled him to the floor.

"Now!" He screamed as (Y/N) ran towards the duo wrestling on the floor and jumped over them. She ran towards her room as the sounds of struggle could be heard. She pushed the door open and started tearing her room apart, searching for the items.

She pulled out another dresser door and found the journal with the necklace attached to it. She grabbed the things and ran out into the hallway only to witness the intruder with the goggles raising his hatchet over his head as he sat on top of her bloodied and bruised little brother.

"James!" She screamed as her mind took over and raced towards the intruder, knocking him in the side which sent him flying off of James. That process sent his hatchet crashing to the hard wood floor, as the man hit the wall. James quickly got up and coughed up blood as he quickly took ahold of his sisters hand and ran down the stairs.

He knew the man couldn't feel anything, it was only a matter of time before the man gets up.

"We have to go." He wheezed out in pain, he stumbled over his feet as he tried to desperately get his sister away from here. Jordan was in the kitchen taking on two of the other intruders until he saw his siblings running out the front door. Quickly, he flipped the wooden table, sending glass plates towards the duo and running out the front door.

James unlocked the car as (Y/N) quickly got in the passenger side. In no time, Jordan opened the back door of the car and got in as James was already starting the car up.

"Fucking drive now!" Jordan yelled as the trio of intruders emerged from the house while James backed the car in reverse. (Y/N) locked the doors and buckled her seat belt as she had a death grip on the items in hand.

The car spun around as a large rock was thrown at the side window, shattering it to pieces. James winced as his window side was no more. Glass shards littered his left side but he managed to get the car away from the house. The trio stopped as (Y/N) looked in the review mirror to see them starring at her. She shivered as James pressed on, not exactly knowing where to go.

That's when she realized, her family knew something she didn't.
