200 years into the future, we can see the very world itself in a constant state of destruction. Almost everything going from the ground, buildings, nature, the environment, even the sky were in ruins and ravaged by fire and shadows alike.

And throughout all this chaos, we can see a lone individual floating around. He had white hair, wore a black shirt with cyan markings while also wearing a white fur coat where the fur was a dark grey. He also wore white pants while wearing navy blue and aqua boots, and wore white gloves with gold cuffs on his wrist and ankles with aqua markings.

He looked around the age of 17, this boy was none other than Subaru Natsuki. A boy born in a world that was already devastated before he came to be. A harsh, bleak place where he lives in eternal darkness.

Life for him is a struggle, and people live without hope. He always wondered how any of this even happened to begin with, and whenever he asked, no one would answer him directly...but they would always point to the flames and the never ending shadows that covered anything and everything in its path.

Subaru continued doing what he was doing until a spiral of flames suddenly shot up from the ground catching him by surprise.

He narrowed his eyes as he began to use his psychokinesis to charge up some energy before swinging his arm forward towards the flames, dispelling them almost immediately.

These flames and shadows alike...they burn away at his world, destroying everything in their path. They come from two beings that he cannot truly defeat.

The Flames of Disaster known as Iblis and The Shadow of Despair, Satella...

Subaru would continue to stare at the destruction around him until a sudden beeping noise would bring him out of his trance as he looked down at it.

The device in his hand was known as an emerald radar, it was given to him by his parents before they unfortunately passed away in order to help him find the chaos emeralds. A pair of mysterious and mystical gemstones that can transform thoughts into power. And those that use them can cause miracles or in other words, wishes to occur. They are very powerful.

And his parents did a lot of research on these things in hopes to put an end to this nightmare. And that was Subaru's goal. To put an end to this and save his world so it could once again flourish and live in peace.

"It seems the last emerald is nearby, I won't afford to waste anymore time!"

He then turned into the direction the radar sensed the emerald from and used his psychokinesis to fly ahead into the distance, becoming nothing but a light of cyan in the sky.

When he got to the location the emerald where the radar was picking up the chaos emerald's signal, he got the chance to take in the view. There was an entire river of lava and in the distance was a giant volcano in the distance, launching falling boulders as it erupted.

"The floor seems to be overtaken by the lava here, so I have to be careful where I step."

He then looked down at the radar as it showed the emerald was near. It was inside the volcano.

". . .Let's just get this over with."

Subaru then began to start off as he began jumping across lava rivers as he used his psychokinesis to levitate platforms he could use to jump and levitate himself across the area.

He was lucky this area was completely Iblis' territory, otherwise he would have a much harder time getting through the environment if it was covered by never ending shadows.

He then began going through crystal-filled caverns as he took care of any of Iblis' minions he came across before eventually flying inside the volcano that was constantly spewing lava. From there, he began going through even more large caves before he entered a room illuminated by the lava in the room. And in the center of it all was a large giant ball of flame.

Subaru then looked back at the emerald radar before smirking.

"Finally found it. This should be fairly easy."

He then got covered in an cyan like aura as he began to use his psychokinesis to fly around the area, swiftly taking care of any enemies that came across him before he stopped in front of the huge ball of flame.

"Alright, let's do this!"

Subaru charged up his psychokinetic energy before launching it towards the ball of flame, disintegrating any flames on it and surrounding it. The boulder then collapsed as a green chaos emerald floated in the middle of it all.

He would then use his telekinetic abilities to bring the emerald to him as it landed in his hand.

"Finally, I collected all of them. It won't be long now...for the sake of the future, I will get rid of you, Satella...!"

He then placed the emerald in his back pocket before he made his way out of the environment and flew back towards the ruined city where his current home was. When he got inside, he grabbed a brown bag that belonged to his mom and placed his belongings inside, he then grabbed a book filled with countless research his parents made on the chaos emeralds and how to use them and whatnot.

"The Shadow of Despair...some people have claimed to see it's appearance...a woman with silver-like hair with amethyst eyes..."

Those were the rumors anyway.

As he turned the pages, he found the page that explained the chaos emeralds and their various uses.

He began to read to himself.

'Said to hold enough power to let their user control the whole world and possibly even the entire universe, each of the Chaos Emeralds is said to possess mystical properties and contain unlimited, amounts of Chaos Emerald energy that is said to give energy to all things. It is said that those who find all seven Chaos Emeralds will command limitless power and be granted unlimited energy.'

"The servers are the seven Chaos. Chaos is power, power is enriched by the heart. The controller is the one that unifies the Chaos...turn thoughts into power huh? I wonder how that will turn out, I'm sure I'll figure out when I finally take out the Shadow of Despair."

He placed the book back into his bag before he flew out his home and towards the Shadow of Despair's territory.

When he had gotten there, he got the chance to take everything in. As one would expect, everything was just covered and devoured in shadows leaving nothing behind, some trees were destroyed and all in all, it just looked like a dead wasteland, and the sky seemed to be even darker than it was back in the ruined city where Subaru lived.

Her and Iblis were in constant conflict after all.

Suddenly, a large mass began to form in front of him as it began to take the shape of a woman. The mist that engulfed her form was so impossibly dark that it blotted out the darkness of the realm he found himself in. Her eyes could be seen glowing brightly as Subaru narrowed his eyes in determination as he began to speak.

"You and The Flames of Disaster have terrorized this world long enough, and it's about time I ended it...for the sake of the future of this world, and for the sake of my parents, I will defeat you! In the name of my parents, Kenichi and Naoko Natsuki; you will die today, this I swear you cursed Shadow of Despair!"

As Subaru said this, he began to glow even more brighter in his cyan-like aura as he pointed at the being in front of him.

Subaru was determined to put an end to this calamity first before he ever decided to go after Iblis, this was his first step in avenging in parents and everything he held dear, their studies and efforts would not go to waste.

And finally the prologue is done, I wanted to get this out of the way before doing anything else. Cause honestly,  the idea came to me when I was just playing Sonic frontiers. I figured hey, I already have a story about Subaru as Sonic and Shadow so why not make a story where he's Silver? It sounds interesting whenever you think about it. Honestly I should do more stories where he has abilities of different Sonic characters. It would be kinda funny.

But yeah, and on another note, I'm in an even greater mood because Sega and Sonic Team have finally acknowledged Silver. People have said that 2022 was the year of sonic, 2024 was the year of shadow, and 2026 will be the year of silver.

And honestly, I actually think it's true.

Honestly happy they're finally acknowledging him, hope to see him have his own game one day. Anyway, what did you guys think of this prologue???
