I.
Shinjira, 2147. The city pulsates like an anxious heartbeat. Above the dirt, the Spires cut through clouds like stained glass, jagged and holy. Beneath the filth lies the Underbelly. A world where flesh bends to the will of steel. Andi shatters her soul to breathe here.

II.
She leaves claw marks everywhere she goes. Andi is not a good person. Bloodied knuckles, thieving hands, skeptical eyes. She is a rat in a maze. Free to go wherever she wants. As long as she stays in the maze. She moves through fractured allegiances, the ghosts of promises haunting the dark corners of her mind. She exhales them all slowly, a silvery ribbon of smoke that coils and then dies. She's alive, but barely. In Shinjira, that's enough.

III.
Betrayal is a knife that doesn't just cut; it carves. They dissect her parts: the flesh, the bones, the heart. Something stops beating, and something new bears its teeth in its place. They give her wings and brand her a monster. She is not a savior, not a martyr. Andi is not a girl from the dirt anymore. She is not a girl at all.

IV.
Shinjira trembles beneath the weight of wrath. The lines between allies and enemies bleed together, the bodies slowly begin to pile up. The city's neon veins run red as Andi ascends, only to feel the unrelenting pull of a tether around her ankles. Someone, something, keeps dragging her back into the mud.

V.
Sink. Swim. Rise. Drown. Andi learns the truth carved into every corner of Shinjira: nothing lasts. Everything returns to the mud. It's where the story begins. And it's where it will end.

V. Hiiii??!!! Welcome to probably the 100th draft and rework of RAZOR TOOTH. You may have previously recognised this book as Heart-Shaped Death, but since then it's had years of major reworking and I'm finally able to show you guys the finished product of all that hard work. Yay! I have set this story up for there to potentially be a part 2, and I will begin the in-depth planing process of that in the future, once this work is completed.

As stated in the description, this piece of fiction will take place in a futuristic, cyber-influenced version of the world set in what would've been Tokyo, in 2147. I absolutely adore the cyberpunk aesthetic and there aren't enough new novels out there within the genre so I'm stepping up 🫡 With that being said, this is basically the creative outcome of that obsession.

I can't wait to introduce you guys to Andi, she's a manifestation of everything I am, with a lot more grit and coolness (obviously). She's my baby and honestly one day I want to see her on the big screen. Be warned though, you won't always like Andi, she's not a good person at many points and I would put her in the anti-hero archetype. Don't hate her too early though, I have gut wrenching character development planned out for her ;)

This novel also won't revolve around the romance between Andi and Ren. It is a huge factor, but there are other big events/themes at play so don't be frustrated with the slow pace of their messy relationship. It'll all fall into place!

The plot description may have made absolutely zero sense (mainly because I suck at summarising my ideas into poetic paragraphs) but I promise I'll clear everything up and things will make sense when the actual writing begins. + I'm hoping to transform this into a screenplay and I'm working hard as a uni student to ensure I can do it in the future! But, enough of my yapping, I'm so excited so let's just dive in.
