Chapter 3: Boy Toy

Hey, gurls!

So, I didn't hear a lot of song ideas. :-(

But not to worry. I found a song (I had help, but still...).

Also... there might be some stuff happening in this chapter.

You've been warned.

*Mitch POV*

I stepped out of the store, followed by my bodyguards, who were carrying all my purchases.

I smiled in satisfaction.

Now, what to wear for tonight? Maybe I should wear the red shirt. Ooh, or the cute black outfit I got!

"Hey, Mitch!" a voice called out, and I looked up to see a friend of mine walking towards me.

"Todrick!" I called happily, returning the hug that he gave me.

Todrick Hall was one of the few Demons I got along with, mainly because he was also gay.

His skin was the color of chocolate, and his eyes were dark as well. But his personality was as bright as a Light Being, which should have been a bad thing.

But the weird thing was, everyone seemed to always get along with him. He was very popular among the other Demons, and I have had yet to see anyone get on his bad side.

"So, I was thinking that we should go clubbing tonight," Todrick said, his eyes darkening with excitement and mischief.

"Oh, really?" I said, "Any reason in particular?"

"There's a new club opening up," he said, grinning, "and I heard that a lot of humans will be there. So many good opportunities."

"Well... Father would be pleased about that," I said, "and it has been a while since I've had a bit of fun..."

"So, you're coming?" he asked, holding up his hand for a high five.

"Of course I am!"

I decided to wear the black outfit.

The black outfit in question was a black button-down shirt paired with some black skinny jeans and black platform-ish shoes.

I thought it was perfect.

Todrick, on the other hand, showed up in a red shirt, black overalls, black winged shoes, and a black monster hat.

He looked so crazy, I just had to laugh.

That, of course, made him laugh too.

"Wow," I said once my giggles had subsided, "That has got to be the weirdest outfits I've ever seen on you."

"Why, thank you," he said, bowing slightly, causing me to laugh again.

"You're insane, Todrick."

"So are you. Shall we go now?"

When we got to the club, I was impressed. The flashing lights and the sounds of loud dance music seemed to be attracting the humans like moths to a flame.

And, of course, there were several Demons, visible and invisible (to the humans), in the crowd. Some of them were whispering to the humans, some were getting drinks, some were dancing, and some were just observing the chaos.

It reminded me of home a little bit: carefree, chaotic, and a lot of human toys to play with.

Todrick and I walked up to the bar, and I noticed that a couple of Demons were behind the counter.

Well, THAT explains why this place is so alluring to the humans.

It was a Demon establishment.

Not that I was surprised; a lot of human clubs usually were.

"Twilight Mix, no ice, but cold," said Todrick to one of the bartenders.

"A splash of Pain mixed with Resentment, heated," I said, putting down a few coins to pay for the drinks.

Quickly, the bartender hurried off, returning shortly with our drinks.

I took a sip, sighing in relief at the warmth of the drink.

"Crap, I needed that," I said.

"Yeah," said Todrick, "Now all we need is..."

Suddenly, he looked over at something, and his eyes darkened.

"Mitch," he said excitedly, "you've got a hot one at three o'clock."

I turned to see a boy sitting at a nearby table.

I had to agree with Todrick; he was definitely a sight.

His hair was dark brown, as were his eyes, and he had a little bit of dark stubble along his jaw. He was wearing a blue button-down shirt and blue jeans.

(A/N: Yes, that is who it looks like.)

He was definitely a human, as I could clearly feel his emotions, despite the other humans in the club.

"Do you want this one?" Todrick asked, and I nodded, smiling slightly.

I quickly finished my drink, then got up and made my way towards the table the boy was sitting at.

He looked up as I walked over, and I smiled at him.

"Hey," I said, and I felt his nerves spike a bit.

"Um... hi?" he said, and his thoughts came to me loud and clear:

Wow, he's definitely gorgeous. But why is he over here, talking to me?

"Mind if I sit?" I asked, gesturing to the chair across from him.

"Sure, go ahead," he said, and I could tell that he was trying to stay calm.

"I saw you while I was at the bar," I said, sitting down, "and I just had to stop by and talk to you."

As I spoke, I entered his mind, starting to bend his emotions to my will.

"So, what's your name?" I asked, filling my voice with curiosity.

"I... um... Theo. My name is Theo," he said, and I could feel my powers taking effect.

"That's a nice name," I said, giving him another smile, "I'm Mitch."

"Mitch," he said, smiling slightly, and I shivered a little at the sound of my name coming from his mouth.

This was definitely going to be interesting.

Suddenly, I heard Todrick call "Mitch!"

I looked up to see him pointing at the stage, where a couple of microphones had been set up.

I straightened up, and I could feel my eyes turning black with excitement.

"Karaoke!" I said, "I love karaoke!"

"You sing?" Theo asked curiously.

"Yeah," I said, "Want to hear it?"

"Sure," he said, and I stood up, walking up to the stage and grabbing a microphone.

I looked over at the DJ, sending him a telepathic message, asking him to pick a song.

Seconds later, I heard the starting notes for Disturbia, by Rhianna, and my smile got bigger.

"No more gas in the rig.
Can't even get it started.
Nothing heard, nothing said.
Can't even speak about it.
Out my life, out my head.
Don't wanna think about it.
Feels like I'm goin' insane.
Yeeeah.

It's a thief in the night to come and grab you.
It can creep up inside you and consume you.
A disease of the mind. It can control you.
It's too close for comfort..."

As I sang, I could feel the rest of the club falling under the spell of my voice, including Theo.

"Throw on your brake lights.
We're in the city of wonder.
Ain't gon' play nice.
Watch out, you might just go under.
Better think twice.
Your train of thought will be altered.
So, if you must falter, be wise.

Your mind's in Disturbia.
It's like the darkness is the light.
Disturbia.
Am I scarin' you tonight?
Disturbia.
Ain't used to what you like.
Disturbia.
Disturbia."

☆☆☆☆☆☆

When I finished singing, everyone applauded.

I looked over to see Theo completely still, his eyes wide and his mouth open in surprise.

Ha! You're mine now, human.

I got off the stage and walked back over to the table, grinning like the Cheshire Cat in Alice in Wonderland.

"So," I said lightly, "what do you think?"

At my words, he seemed to collect his thoughts again.

"Wow," he said, "that was incredible. Your voice... wow."

Despite being happy about the compliment, I was starting to get tired of playing games with him.

I turned back to the bar, locking eyes with Todrick and sending him a telepathic message: I'm gonna take this human and go. Are you okay by yourself?

He shrugged: Fine by me. I think I might try and find a human of my own. Have fun.

I turned back to Theo, then stood up, and he stood up as well.

"Where are you going?"

"Oh, I was planning on leaving; this place is starting to get a bit boring."

"Oh," he said, his smile fading slightly.

"Do you want to come with me?" I asked, reaching out to take his hand.

"Sure!"

A/N: And, because I'm evil like that, I'm stopping here for now.

*audience boos*

Hey, calm down. I promise, next chapter, there will be more.

*audience quiets down*

Luv you all! *blows kisses*
