꧁Part Two꧂

Ever since last night Emma has been having a little trouble acting normal in front of mom. We just came back inside from freetime.

I didn't follow them but I'm almost 100% sure that Emma and Norman went past the small gate in the woods that were not supposed to go past and Ray followed them without them knowing.

Now we were all in the dining room as Mom stood there next to another woman and she had a baby in her arms. The baby kinda reminded me of Emma to be honest.

"Attention! I want you to meet Carol, your newest sibling, and this is Sister Krone. She is here to help me with my duties." Mom announced which made Emma and Norman look like they had wet their pants.

Ray seemed to stay calm but I could tell he was thinking the entire situation over. Even though I have been Mom's spy almost my whole life, I decided not to tell her about Emma and Norman knowing.

Besides, the chances of Mom already knowing are high, At the very least she knows someone went to the gate but not who. "I'll be living here with all of you from now on. It's nice to meet you." Sister Krone greeted and started to talk to the younger kids.

-----

I was in the library reading on the floor in the back so I closed my book and peeked around the corner to see who entered. Norman, Emma, and Ray were there.

"I was so focused on the trackers, that another adult never crossed my mind." Norman started as he lightly banged his head against a bookshelf.

"We should be happy about this." Ray replied which clearly confused Emma. "Huh? What do you mean?" she asked, directing her attention to Ray.

"With Carol and Sister Krone here, we have two new sources of info." he explained. "You're right." Norman agreed, now looking at Ray.

"First off, where did they both come from?" Ray wondered looking between the other two. "I suppose Carol's here to replace Conny. They must be replenishing merchandise." Norman stated as he took a seat at the small table.

"Ya, if this place is a farm, they must have a base where they prepare all the one-year-olds to resupply the house." Ray explained.

I figured that I could go back to my book and if I heard anything alarming I would go to Mom as soon as possible. As of right now I don't think them knowing is too much of a threat.

As I started to read I also paid attention to what they were saying. They're idiots if they plan on escaping with everyone.

Even if it was just those three escaping themselves it would be difficult, nearly impossible. It's a good thing they don't know where the tracking devices are though. They'll know if they check Carol though but there isn't much that I can do about it.

----

It was free time again and everyone was playing outside while I read a book. I put my book down when I saw Emma kicking a ball and running into the woods as Ray walked in the same direction.

Plus Norman went there not too long ago. I closed my book and walked down to the woods and walked all the way to the edge where I presumed they were.

When I got to where they were they had been talking about where the tracking device is. Hmm, Emma must've checked Carol last night since her and Gilda were on baby duty. Honestly, as much as I hate them, they seem to be pretty smart about this.

I would never say this aloud but I'm probably the smartest kid in the house. My scores have always been perfect plus I've beaten Mom at chess a few times which no one had done.

I even figured the house's secret out on my own without having to see one of my siblings' corpses.

Since I figured it out when I was only six I confronted Mom and asked her if there was a way I could live.

Ray and Norman were trying to figure out how to take everyone and Emma proposed that they play tag so Emma can show them how to push their bodies to its limits. Ray would give the kids advice on how to not get caught.

---

Sister Krone suggested that she plays tag with everyone with her being 'it' and the game having a 20 minute time limit. I ran all the way to the back of the forest but since that seemed kinda obvious to go there I moved forward a bit and jumped up to the tallest tree and climbed to the top.

Emma came running through the woods as she held two kids and Sister Krone chased her. It takes a lot of stamina to do that so she hid for a second to rest as Sister Krone started to point out the older kids' weak points.

Norman's failing point is his physical strength. Ray's weak point is that he gives up too easily, he makes fast decisions but abandons them.

Emma's weakness is that she's naive. The next thing that Sister Krone said however caught me off guard. "Y/N's weakness is that they won't depend on other people and they over work themselves." she teased as if she knew I was there and could hear her.

Perhaps she didn't know that I was also short tempered because what she said filled me with rage but I stayed still, not making a sound.

Sister Krone tagged Emma and quickly continued running since there were still three people left including me. Since she ran off though, I'm guessing she didn't know I was there.

After about ten minutes I deemed that it was over and climbed down from the tree and ran out of the woods where everyone else was.

"Who else didn't get caught?" I asked as I stepped out of the woods and looked everyone over. "Ray and I didn't get caught." Norman answered which I didn't find surprising.

"Where were you the whole time? I never even saw you!" Sister Krone questioned with a really creepy look on her face. "Hiding next to the area where you got Emma." I replied monotonously.
