"So, what did Ray get for his last item?" I asked, ignoring the uneasy feeling that I had from knowing that Ray would die soon. I mean, I've hated them for years, I'm supposed to hate him. Ray, Norman, and Emma will all get shipped away soon and the warm happy feeling I've had around them recently will be gone.

"A camera. He was quite fascinated with it and took a photo of me. Would you like to see it?" Mom asked. "Sure." I said and waited for Mom to grab the photo that she was speaking of. I had never seen a photograph other than in books so I was curious.

Mom walked over to a table and picked something up and walked back over to me. The photo was taken at an angle and it looked a little odd but it was very cool to see something like that.

"It looks like a moment frozen in time." I mumbled, running my fingers over the glossy material. "Ray said the same thing. You're quite a lot alike, you and Ray." Mom commented as I handed her back the photo.

"He'll die soon just like everyone else so I don't see why that's relevant." I stated, avoiding looking at Mom. "I'm sure you're well aware of the plans they have to escape." Mom asked but it sounded more like a statement than a question.

"Yes. And I'm sure you're well aware that Ray can't be trusted?" I retorted, walking over to the table and taking a seat on the chair.

Everyone else was asleep right now and Mom said she wanted to talk to me earlier. It's not very often she checks in with me as her spy but I suppose it makes sense, since there's a group of kids planning to escape. "I do." Mom said, walking over to me. "What do you plan to do?" I questioned.

Mom stayed quiet for a little bit and just paced around the small room. My mind wandered to the escape plan.

Obviously I have to prevent them from leaving but I wouldn't know how to go about it. I don't think any of them even suspect me being Mom's spy since they already found out that Ray was Mom's spy and Ray doesn't know about me.

The best time to do it would probably be during the escape but if I do that a few people might still be able to escape.

Someone else might end up getting shipped out before the escape but it makes no difference to me. Ray probably already has everything he needs to make the device to break the trackers.

In my opinion it's a waste of time making a device for it. You can just cut off your ear and wrap it up. There's enough supplies for around five people.

If Emma is involved in the plan there's no way she'll only take five people, she's too naive for that. She'll insist on taking everyone, it's a great plan if you want to get yourself killed.

"I'll make sure they don't get out. And I trust that you won't let your emotions get in the way." Mom said, answering my question at last.

She wasn't wrong, or at least I told myself that. I wanted it to be true. My feelings won't get in the way because they're aren't any, other than hatred.

"You should go to bed, it's getting late." Mom advised and I didn't argue because I was extremely tired.

Without responding, I walked out of Mom's office and down the long, dark hallway to the bedroom. It looked like everyone else was asleep so I just creeped over to my bed and slid into the white covers. (I feel like that sounds weird)

"Come on, get up baka!" Ray exclaimed, hitting me with a pillow in an attempt to get me up. It wasn't the first time that they had trouble getting me up for breakfast and it definitely won't be the last time. I just rolled over, ignoring the continuous attacks from Ray. "If you don't get up I will lay on you." Ray threatened.

"Go ahead." I said groggily, not thinking they would actually do it. Much to my surprise, I felt a large amount of weight jump on me and lay on my back. "Still don't want to get up?" Ray asked, his breath hitting my ear.

"Nope." I dejected and rolled back over so I was facing Ray. "You're heavy." You commented, knowing it could piss him off.

"Well maybe you should've gotten up." Ray pointed. "I knew you two were dating!" Emma exclaimed, pointing at us. "Shit, I thought everyone was downstairs." Ray cursed under his breath as he quickly got off me. "We're not dating!" I objected but maintained a stoic expression.

"Sureeee. After what I saw when I walked in the library the other night there's no way you're not dating." Emma stated. "I ship!" Emma beamed, jumping up and down in excitement. "I Hate my life..." I mumbled, shaking my head and shoving my face in my pillow. "Up.Now." Ray commanded.

"Kiss.My.Ass." I retorted and held up the middle finger. "Up." He repeated. "Make.Me" I tested. "EH!" I shrieked when I was suddenly picked up from my warm bed. When I looked up I saw Ray with a smirk on his face. "What the fuck!" I yelled, squirming around in his arms.

They were carrying my bridal style. "Since you didn't want to get up I'm carrying you downstairs." He grinned. Ray started to walk out of the room with me in his arms and Emma following behind, squealing. No matter how much I squirmed he wouldn't drop me so I just gave up and waited for them to put me down.

When we walked downstairs into the dining room everyone was looking at us. Suddenly Ray just dropped me on the floor.

"There, now you're out of bed." Ray said and walked over to Norman and started to talk to him. Emma helped me up and I just glared at Ray. "Fu-" I was about to curse at him but it just came out as muffled noises do to Emma's hand over my mouth.

"No cursing in front of the little kids!" She harshly whispered and took her hand off my mouth.
