91: Nights to Forget
Wild - Troye Sivan
__________
Ow.
That hurt.
Again.
A muffled grunt spits out of Jimin's wet lips as remained laid out on the ground of inside the boxing ring, a deep scowl on his lips to the unbearable ache on his back.
This is the tenth time he's been body slammed to the ground. Jimin would know, he's been counting!
And it hurts.
Yeosang pokes his head in front of his vision, squatting down with a breathless smile on his sweaty face, "Jimin..... I've taught you what you should do when I try to attack you. You executed the beginning well but then.... Not so much towards the end."
They've been in this gym for a while now, being the only ones here since it's pretty late. So after they've done their usual routine, Jimin wanted Yeosang to teach him a few fighting strategies just in case he'll need to use it in the future. Yeosang was a bit hesitant teaching him street fighting, more so because he doesn't want Jimin to instant go into offense that will result with him getting in trouble.
He doesn't want Jimin to end up like him at all.
So he taught him Jiu Jitsu instead, which is a more defense type of fighting in case he ever does get attacked.
Yeosang taught Jimin a few skills on what to do if a time comes where he would be put into that position, but Jimin just seems to struggle on finishing it. He has the stamina, flexibility and strength to execute the entire skill, but hesitates way too much.
"Well I'm sorry," Jimin huffs sarcastically, sitting up, "I just get afraid that I might hurt you and I don't want to."
We can already imagine how Yeosang got just by hearing that sweet phrase. The poor kid had to look away from Jimin to hide his blushing cheeks as he stands up straight, helping Jimin to his feet as well.
Wow his heart is racing so fast.
"Hurting me shouldn't be a problem," Yeosang manages to squeak but the clears his throat, "You can't go easy on your opponent who's trying to attack you. Your safety and survival comes first above anything, alright?"
Jimin only nods back at him, in his fighting stance but Yeosang steps away from him, rubbing his sweaty face using his shirt. If Jimin didn't pass out on the spot to the sight of his toughen abdomen that seems to only get more and more defined as time pass by, it was a miracle. It's not like Jimin hasn't seen Yeosang shirtless before or anything because he has, but Yeosang is drenched in sweat at the moment.
His skin is glistening, literally.
The tattoos don't even help the slightest!
It's just hard in general to not gawk at Yeosang, and Jimin isn't the only one who struggles with this too. He's noticed how many women, even men, gawk at him whenever he would just pass anyone. It has been more evidently obvious when they started attending the gym too, and what's annoying is that they don't even bother being discrete about their stares as they practically eat him alive with their lustful gazes.
It pisses Jimin off, a lot more than he would like, but nothing feels as good as to when Yeosang actually remains unbothered or rejects people whenever they try to approach him.
Ha, sucks to be them.
Truth is, Jimin doesn't blame them entirely for eye fucking him. Yeosang had already a bit of muscle before and he's very strong in general, but he now.... Defined those muscles a bit too much. The Jeon brothers do work their asses off hard when they're here and they work very hard on the weights specifically. So Yeosang has been working on making his muscles toned just for no reason. He had a lot of anger so working out hard usually serves as a distraction.
Yeosang is definitely not a fucking kid, he's a damn man now.
The thought alone quivered unease nerves down Jimin's spine as he stares at him, eying Yeosang's face that just.... Seemed as though it has matured much more than when he met him the first time. He's relaxed, no signs of anger or stress marks on his strongly structured face, that once appeared more childlike. That's something Yeosang has been wearing more often now, a calm expression. As though he's been.... At peace lately.
Or maybe it's only just around Jimin he's like this because he always looks pissed around Taehyung.
"You're very handsome."
Who the fuck said that?
Jimin whips his head around, seeing no one the boxing room but them and Yeosang is looking at him now, wide eyes and slightly parted lips in shock.
Wait was it Jimin who said that?
Oh shit.
That's so fucking embarrassing.
An instant blush cascades over Jimin's cheeks, feeling as though his legs instantly weakened from the complete humiliation of the situation. A forced cough pasts out of his lips, that sounded quite dry actually; and it nearly had him choking on his breath.
Leave it to Jimin to make an even more complete embarrassment of himself.
"I mean we should c-call this a n-night, yeah let's go!" Jimin squeaks shakily as he nearly trips while getting out of the ring because of the stupid ropes, ocaccionally tripping over his feet as he goes to get his stuff towards the corner of the room.
He wasn't paying attention to see the shy smile on Yeosang's face as he slides on his sweatpants and hoodie with his shakily hands, cursing at himself for being such an idiot, before retrieving his phone to check the time to see it's an hour before midnight.
However that wasn't the only thing that caught his eye sight.
He got an email notification.
Jimin furrows his eyebrows at the email, especially since he doesn't recognize the name from anywhere. So he clicks on it and instantly see the messages.
And his heart dropped.
"I know I was a dick last time we met up. I'm really sorry. I look back to our relationship a lot and think about how much of a dick I've been towards you. I can't be without you. I miss you so much that it just hurts. I just want to understand why you decided to cheat and lie to me, that's it. I'll leave it all in the past but please don't leave me. If it's not too much to ask, can we please meet up so I can properly apologize for how I behaved towards you?
Please.
- Joshua."
His eyes run over the words over and over again, making sure he's not fucking dreaming right now. It's almost as though his mind didn't process it fast enough because he still remains frozen in shock, but it seems as though he physically got a reaction from the message. Tears are burning his eyes so painfully that it began to ache, streaming down his cheeks to tap the screen of his phone yet Jimin can't even feel it by this point. However this feeling he's sensing in his chest is different than the emotions he would feel in the past upon seeing a message from this man.
It's not fear or paranoia anymore, it's now filled with anger.
Yeosang words circulates his head instead of Joshua's snarls of the past.
Jungkook, Taehyung, Yoongi, Ten, Taemin, Hoseok, Namjoon, Lucas and Seokjin's words of comfort fuels every neuron in his head and memories. He's not alone. He's never going to be alone, and he shouldn't be scared of anyone.
Joshua is never able to hurt him unless he lets it happen.
Jimin knows he's been loyal, nothing ever in this planet would make him think otherwise of that matter. He's not going to be manipulated by this man again.
Arms suddenly wraps themselves around his shoulders and a chin rests on his shoulder blade. Jimin can instantly feel Yeosang tense up behind him once he notices Jimin's teary eyes and the message on the screen of his phone but he still remained paralyzed to move.
And Yeosang suddenly began to be fueled by rage.
"Jimin, let me-"
Jimin didn't let him finish, only goes to the reply and begins to type.
A simple message with his head held high.
Yet it will get the job done for sure.
"Fuck you. Either you leave me alone or I will report you to the cops. I have proof of what you did to me, so don't even try me.
Bye.
Love,
Jimin :) *middle finger emoji*."
Sent.
Jimin uses a hand to wipe away his tears, blocking the email address permanently and shoves the phone to his pocket, "I've had enough of him. I'm not dealing with it anymore."
Everyone has a breaking point in life and Jimin has already reached his with Joshua. All he had to say is already done. Never in any life time would he ever wish to see that man's face anywhere near him again.
For a long moment Yeosang didn't say anything as Jimin gathers his composure, only let's him breathe it out his frustrations before he walks around him. His strong arms are still around Jimin's shoulders, soft eyes looking at the emotionless tears streaming down his blotchy cheeks.
So Yeosang leans in and kisses each tear away.
Jimin parted his lips in a gasp, not expecting this tender gesture from the other boy. Yeosang's lips is soft against his skin, careful to not hurt him as he reaches up before nuzzling their foreheads together while bringing Jimin closer to his chest.
Where Jimin felt the most safest.
"No more crying for someone who didn't value you," Yeosang whispers, skipping various beats in Jimin's heart, "Enjoy the fact that you are alone now and no one is trying to control you anymore; to feel this freedom and always hold onto it. Your heart may be a prisoner to him as you heal, but I will be there to save you. It's hard moving forward but this is for the better. You will be happy, I promise you. I will make sure you're always happy, my precious Minnie."
Hearing those words felt like a breath of fresh air after drowning for so long.
Throughout the time that has past between them, Yeosang began to know naturally the perfect way to help Jimin through his words. Only for Jimin because to everyone else he has no idea how to comfort their hysteria. This sense of dependency between the two souls has grown and grown whenever they wake up to see each other's faces when they peel their eyes open in the morning and being the last face to see before they go to sleep at night. If one were to fall than they would know the other would be right there to catch them.
It feels beautiful.
They love feeling like this, whatever this is.
No matter how upset the other may be, they find happiness by being right by each other's side.
It's a feeling that was like...... Nothing, yet it was something, almost like what they are to each other.
Nothing, yet something.
So with a heavy breath of relief Jimin nods, no more tears streaming down his cheeks, "Thank you honey."
A small smile forms Yeosang's lips and he leans back to press a peck on Jimin's forehead, caressing his cheeks, "Let get out of here and do something fun. Come on!"
Jimin furrows his eyebrows to the sudden suggestion, confusion clear in his eyes.
Fun?
Yeosang knows fun?
Jimin wasn't even able to say anything more because he is already being dragged out of the building with an excited Yeosang guiding him out. They didn't exactly drive here since the gym is near their apartment, so they have no choice but to walk where Yeosang's heart contents. Luckily for them they're already in the city and places rarely closes at this late at night during the weekends.
They would stop from store to store, looking over at clothes they won't buy and playfully slap make up on each other's faces in their attempts on making each other happy.
At one point Yeosang even had to stop himself from doing something very risky when Jimin was putting on red lipstick on his plump lips, facing Yeosang with a bright grin on his face.
Jimin's smile is permanent on his face as he laughs to the goofy things Yeosang would do just to make him smile. However this smile he's wearing with the red lipstick just.... Felt different.
What's the word for it?
Seductive? Smug?
Fuck Yeosang doesn't know! He doesn't want to either way before he does something he won't regret but perhaps Jimin will.
Other than that, they would roam the streets of Seoul with a youthful heart. The lights are still on the streets by the side walks and there's a few people out as they go to clubs or bars to get wasted.
Yeosang promised Jimin a drink one day when he's able to get an I.D.
Which won't be so hard for him since he had contacts.
They even came upon an aracade and played those silly games like the kids they transformed the second they stepped inside. Yeosang found out that Jimin is pretty good at basketball because he would beat him every single time Yeosang declared for a rematch. Some people would give the pair odd stares but they could honestly careless as they only drown deeper into their own little bubble that just involved them and their happiness.
It only made them feel even more alive.
After all the tickets they got after playing, they managed to get matching plastic rings. It was childish really, maybe even girly since they both had a pink diamond on it with a cute little crown, but the way Yeosang stared at Jimin as he slid the ring on his finger definitely set a different tone for the playful moment between them.
Just for a split moment...... It felt.... Real.
And at they knew.
Very deep down inside their pounding hearts that.... What they have is now something beyond than just a feeling for a friend.
They knew it.
Because they both smiled at each other at the same time.
When the left the arcade, they continued to explore the city streets while smoking a bit from Yeosang's pen. They ended up buying a bottle of vodka from a liquor store and sang around the streets with hands interlaced together, making their way back to their apartment, that luckily for them wasn't too far away.
By the time they actually made it back, their minds were completely fuzzy from the now empty bottle of vodka that the took turns taking swings on and their hiccuping giggles as they lean onto each other for support. Luckily for them Jungkook and Taehyung were already back, and of course they were staring at the pair with a cautious eyebrows raised.
"Pew pew, I have a gun!" Jimin slurs childishly as he points his finger at Taehyung, bubbling a laugh, "I'm going to get you TaeTae watch out!"
Taehyung glances at Jungkook from across the island in the kitchen, more so asking with his eyes whether they should do something about their drunken roommates or leave it be. Jungkook only looks at his brother, who bubbles a chuckle at Jimin who kept shooting his invisible bullets at Taehyung with a wide smile, feeling a sense of calmness to his brothers happiness.
"Nah, they'll be okay," He says indifferently, more so referring to is brother's smile.
This is the first time he's seen him smile like this.
Happy.
Very happy.
Even if he's drunk, that still counts.
Jimin suddenly gasps and raises his hands, "Fuck I think I left my sleep in my room," He exclaims groggily, tripping over his feet as he runs up down the hallway, "Sleep! I will save you!"
Sleep?
What does that even mean?
Yeosang barks a laugh and runs after him, nearly slamming against the wall if it wasn't his consciousness screaming at him to be careful through his fuzzy head. A bubbily feeling overcame his body as he goes into his room, seeing Jimin jump up and down his bed with his loud hollers bouncing out of his lips.
Thank you soundproof walls.
"I feel so free!" Jimin yells excitedly, smiling ever so brightly while looking over at Yeosang when he managed to close the door behind him through his unstable vision. Through Jimin's blurred mind, he didn't know why it was such a great idea for him to get off the bed and get to his feet, skipping over towards the younger.
It caught Yeosang by surprise when Jimin suddenly jumps into his arms, wrapping his legs and thin arms around his body. The sudden impact made Yeosang slam back against the wall upon impact as he struggles to control his wobbling legs to regain his balance since he's far too gone to control his body.
That alone was becoming a mission impossible by how Jimin is staring at him now, the most softest drunken smile Yeosang has ever seen before. His heart thrusts so quick against his chest, skipping various beats as Jimin began to twirl with the back of his brunette chocolate hair.
"One day," Jimin slurs quietly, laying his forehead against his, "I'm call you my husband. We're technically engaged with these rings now, right?"
Yeosang's stomach exploded upon hearing this but it wasn't as bad as it probably would be when he's sober. He knows for a fact if he was sober he would've dropped Jimin and rushed out the room to scream in the bathroom, unable to control his overwhelming feelings of joy. Now with no sober string in his body, he only chuckles fondly at his words and tightens his hands on Jimin's thighs around him. He somehow managed to get to his bed and drop back against it with Jimin now on top of him.
"I'm going to be your husband and I'm going to beat any fuckers who tried to gets near my Minnie," Yeosang huffs but then perks a sudden giggle when he sees Jimin hide his smile with a hand on his lips, "We're so fucked right now."
Jimin stares down at Yeosang's smile, his mind going into another world with this taunting urge to lean closer.
Such a pretty smile he has.
Pretty lips..... Very..... Pretty.
Yeosang smile slowly drops as he stares at Jimin's darkened expression, unable to stop himself from raising a hand to his jaw with his thumb caressing over his red plump bottom lip against the lipstick. He smudges it slightly against his skin and that was the last draw for him to slowly lean forward.
"I want to kiss you Minnie," He murmurs huskily, feeling how Jimin breath slightly staggers against his throat, "So bad."
Jimin stares down at his lips again, running his tongue over his upper lip, "Then what's stopping you?"
The playful expression between them slowly fades away, now filled with that familiar tension that would suffocate both of their lungs if they were in a more stable scenario. Whenever this type of tension would occur, they would always brush it aside as though it was nothing.
Now, they can't hide it.
More so they don't want to anymore.
This intense need for intimacy began to grow somewhere deep within their souls and Yeosang found himself leaning more forward, just a small distance away from Jimin's lips.
Yet he suddenly stops.
That little sober voice at the back of his head is yelling for him to stop, forcing him to think through this properly.
This isn't the right time.
They're both drunk and unstable to make any certain decision.
It could only end up awkward for them when the day light comes around..... And Yeosang doesn't want to risk having Jimin feeling this need to distant himself from him because of guilt or thinking that he is those things Joshua engraved in his head.
Sure this isn't a big deal, it's just a simple kiss, but Jimin is still healing. If they're going to make any decision for their friendship than it will be through sober minds.
Now isn't the right time.
So Yeosang only moves his lips to Jimin's cheek, running a hand up and down Jimin's spine as a signal to not continue. When he slowly pulls away, he could see the look behind Jimin's eyes.
A pained rejected stare.
"I like you Minnie," Yeosang admits to him quietly, rubbing his cheek with his thumb, "And because I like you, I want to be able to do this when we are not filled with alcohol. I want this to be something you want and right now isn't the time to decide that. Okay?"
Yes Yeosang just confessed his feelings for him.
Yes he's going to throw himself out of his window when the daylight breaks through.
No he's not going to repeat himself because he's a coward.
It surprised him slightly when Jimin relaxes evidently on top of him, his face softening as he leans to Yeosang's hand with eyes closed, "I probably won't be ready when I'm sober to be physically intimate like this, let alone to admit that I like you a lot too," He whispers back, twitching a smile when he sees Yeosang's gaze sparkle, "One day I will be able to face it better. I promise, as for now I believe I do need time."
The way Yeosang is fanboying inside his soul is real.
It probably would've been worse if he didn't have alcohol to numb a bit of his excitement, but he still feels that tender warmness caressing his heart.
A bright smile perked Yeosang's lips and he slides back to the bed, bringing Jimin into his arms as they lay back down, not wanting to let Jimin go off into his own bed for tonight, "There's no rush. Trust me, I have the time of the world for you Minnie, always."
And he means it.
Yeosang will wait for Jimin, no matter how long it takes for him to be okay again. Even if Jimin in reality doesn't want to be with him in the future, he will always be there for him no matter what.
His words was all Jimin needed to hear in order to slowly pass out in his deep sleep, Yeosang following moments later while holding onto Jimin tightly and digging his face against his neck.
No longer feeling cold on his lonely bed anymore.
_____________
A/N:
Aw :')
These two..... Have my heart so weak ahhh
I was really debating while writing this whether they should kiss or not but then decided against it. They were both intoxicated so it's preferable if it wasn't at this time.
Let's see what happens next!!
I PURPLE YOU!! <33
