2U - Jungkook

______________

Something flared inside Jungkook.

He doesn't know if he was resurrected from the dead or if he was possessed, but he's never had this type of sudden struck of energy for what feels like years. It was the type that broke every wall in his wounded heart, shattering down to the man before him to see the utter vulnerability of his soul.

Woosung.

Woosung is here.

As the realization processes, Jungkook practically leaps off the bed, nearly whimpering from how hard his throat clenches as he scrambles across the room and wraps his arms tightly around Woosung's waist, burying his face against his neck like how he use to always do when he was upset.

Warm, he feels so warm.

This isn't a dream.

Woosung is really here.

And Jungkook couldn't be anymore happier than how he feels now.

However through his hectic sensations of relief flooding his body, he felt Woosung tense up in his embrace that followed by a low hiss.

The fuck?

Did he hurt him!?

Jungkook instantly let's him go, seeing the pained look in his ex lover's eyes, "W-What happened? Are you hurt?"

The other male only shakes his head slowly with a fluttering smile on his lips, but then Jungkook notice the fading bruise on his eye.

His heart stopped beating.

"D-Did you get beaten up?" He asks in panic now, taking Woosung's face in his hand, studying the mark with now a grimace in his lips, "Who was it? I swear Woosung I will-"

"Shh it's okay Bambi," The other chuckles lowly, talking his hand gently off his face, "It's nothing, I'm better now."

Jungkook didn't want to let this go, at all. He wanted Woosung to give him names so he can hunt them down himself. So many vicious thoughts cruised through his mind on ways he would torture whoever laid a hand on his precious Woosung but it somehow all faded when Woosung wraps his arms around Jungkook's torso, hugging him tightly with his chin on his shoulder blade.

"Lisa is worried about you," He whispers calmly, making Jungkook slowly relax against his arms, knowing well his sister probably was the one that contacted him after hearing Jungkook's breakdowns for the past week that she wasn't able to calm him down, "Little Gem gave me the brief details on he phone, urging me to come here, but I wanted you to be the one to tell me what happened."

Suddenly the painful reminder of Jungkook's heartache skips back into his mind, making him feel almost weak to stand properly. He probably hasn't walked properly if it wasn't to go to the bathroom, so that's why his limbs feel so heavy. Seems as though Woosung read his mind because he gently pulls back, grabs his hand and guides him to the bed, sitting down. With a small frown Jungkook sits beside him, feeling his heart skip various of beats to the way Woosung caresses his thumb on his knuckles.

If only his heart wasn't completely broken, maybe he would've passed out by that small gesture.

Anything Woosung does always struck his heart in a sensitive nerve, making him feel small from his usual tough aura.

He's can be himself when he's with him.

Making himself realize how he was never truly able to be himself with Taehyung.

With the disguise, it's not easy.

"So," Woosung says first, "Taehyung wasn't the man you expected him to be or something?"

Jungkook slightly flinches to those words behind the soft tone, knowing Woosung isn't one to dodge around the topic but gets straight to the point.

For one Jungkook is grateful for that.

"He just said some things to me that were very near sensitive topics," He whispers, bringing his legs up to cross them on the bed like a child, not letting go of Woosung's hand, "I guess it was fair, I hurt him too."

The other only nods, turning so his whole attention is only in Jungkook, "Hurt him how?"

This is where Jungkook didn't want to touch on.

He knows the disappointment that will flash Woosung's eyes the minute those words oozes out of his lips. It's so unbearable! The only person he can really cling onto besides his siblings and Jimin that don't think he a bad person. That know him.

However he has to let go of that fear.

He has to own up to what he did.

So Jungkook doesn't look at him, nibbling on his bottom lip, "I mentioned his perished mother.... And I hit him a few times."

Jungkook waited.

He waited to hear that disappointed sigh, the emptiness of his hands of Woosung letting him go or the stern words that was bound to come out in a scold.

However, that never happened.

Instead his chin was guided up by Woosung's other hand, meeting his soft tender eyes, "Don't be scared of telling me anything Bambi," He whispers, slowly letting go of his face, "I'm still your friend after all. I just want to understand."

It was as though the invisible hand squeezing his neck faded away, finally giving Jungkook the ability to breathe again from his anxiety.

He really got use to Taehyung's angry outbursts too much that he forgot how understanding Woosung truly is.

Fuck he is going insane.

"You're not the type to be nudged so easily to the side with anger, unless it's something serious," Woosung continues, tilting his head to the side with furrowed eyebrows, "So what did Taehyung do?"

Woosung knows him all too well.

The memory of Ten's terrified face as Taehyung held him with a knife flooded Jungkook's mind, bringing back that slight angered emotion but now replaced with a heavy frown and his frustrations, "He was about to hurt someone I cared about.... Because I was fighting the abuser of my friend.... So he tried to stop me."

Wow that sounded quite odd voicing it out...

The other slowly nods, humming lowly, "And then you guys just fought?"

"Yeah," Jungkook breathes shakily, gulping thickly, "H-He said that I deserve everything bad that happened to me, including how my parents would beat me. How I'm a bad influence to my sibling and t-that I'm basically a piece of shit-"

He was shuddering now, the tearing beaming his eyes with his body now trembling to the memory that he began to choke up on his words. Instantly Woosung yanks him forward and wraps his arms around him, letting the other softly cry against his neck.

How familiar it feels to be in Woosung's arms again. Jungkook feels as though he's being wrapped around by angel wings to be protected from the world. He knows Woosung would always protect him, so maybe it's that thought and feeling of his firmly arms around him that made Jungkook feel as though those things Taehyung said was a lie.

Just for a moment Jungkook wants to believe that's true.

"You didn't deserve that," Woosung murmurs through Jungkook's mess of whirly hair, "You are a great brother Jungkook. Everything you've done has been for your siblings, to move forward in life. Your parents are just pieces of shits but that's not who you are. Not you and don't ever think that you are."

His words sounded so comforting like an endless sea, having the crystalline water glitter with the sun cascading down on it to give a feeling of warmth and complete tranquility to cruise through every cell in Jungkook's anxious body. That's how it feels like being comforted by Woosung, as though you found the true meaning of happiness just by a few words from his loving lips.

As though loneliness doesn't exist, because he's right there as an anchor to the light.

Woosung was and still is, Jungkook's light.

Jungkook could feel himself cool down when he feels Woosung's fingers thread through his hair, massaging his skull gently because he knew Jungkook finds that clawing.

He even still remembers these small things that makes Jungkook feel comfortable.

After a few moments, Jungkook began to ease down his whimpers, clearing his throat, "I do deserve what he said," He whispers, sniffing quietly, "H-His mom was a weakness, and I used it-"

"Did he say anything before that?"

The ravenette nibbles his bottom lip and slowly pulls away, blinking his tears away, "Well... He called me a self centered asshole and that I should be grateful that he stayed unlike everyone else who left me."

That evidently didn't settle well for Woosung, it was obvious. Jungkook could see the darkness growing behind his eyes as he listens to those words, shaking his head, "And why did you hit him the times that you did?"

"H-He called me a little bitch and a sex doll the first time," He hiccups, flinching to how those words came out, "And the second time was when he had my friend knife pointed because he used my weakness against me to stop fighting."

There's no type of criticism or judgement behind Woosung's stare, only processing this information like a computer. Jungkook can't tell what type of emotions he's holding in, but if anything he clearly doesn't show it.

All just for the sake that Jungkook wouldn't feel overwhelmed by his emotions, something Woosung would always do when they discuss serious matters

A minute or two pass by and Woosung rubs his hands down his face, taking a deep breath to keep himself at back from exploding his anger before looking at Jungkook, "Honestly Jungkook, that man would've been dead already if I was in your shoes. Yeah, you hit him, and one should never raise their fists up at anyone, but shit did he fucking deserve it. Would've been different if you just did it because you were bored. Besides, his words aren't exactly so friendly to not get a brutal reaction from it in return. They're exactly as painful as a punch, if anything more fatal because the scars in the heart takes more time to heal," He huffs irritated, almost as if he's rambling to himself but then looks at Jungkook's wide eyes, feeling himself calm down to the innocent way he's staring at him, "What you said about his mom was definitely a low blow but what he said to you makes it no different. You didn't insult him for him to call you a piece of shit, or to refer you as that."

By now Jungkook's lips are wobbling again, fighting hard with himself to not cry anymore since he's done enough of that. Instead he runs his fingers through his hair, gripping it slightly, "I sometimes want to apologize-"

"No."

Jungkook snaps his eyes to Woosung, who only holds his stare with his own firm one, "What?"

Woosung is leaning towards him name, grabbing his face with both of his face so Jungkook can stare deeply into his eyes, "I said no," He says lowly, "You're not going be the one to approach him. He needs to learn how to control his tongue because at least you try to control yours. If you go back to him, he's only going to continue to hurt you when he's mad and you can't live your life with that thought all the time."

Jungkook couldn't hold his tears as they roll down his cheeks, feeling the blow of those words. This made Woosung only soften his hold on him, rubbing the tears away from his cheeks softly, "I'm saying this as your ex boyfriend, who knows you so well, I know you want to go back and fix things with him, but let him be the one to come after you this time instead of you always going back to him. Go for what you deserve Jungkook, know your worth, this isn't what you're worth."

Now Jungkook's heart is aching, so damn bad. He's so overwhelmed by the fight with Taehyung rummaging his head, puncturing hole after hole in his chest that were filled with the tender moments they shared as well.

Jungkook knows Taehyung is better than this, he knows his heart and he knows he would never do anything to hurt him purposely.

Right?

The next words that stumbled out his lips was the knife that sliced down the air, and Jungkook wasn't able to catch it back fast enough.

"I fell in love with him Woosung," He wheezes painfully, making Woosung suddenly pause up to those words, stunned, "And it hurts.... It hurts so much. I feel like I need him and I.... I don't know what to do!"

Jungkook couldn't see it because of the bluring tears in his eyes as he cowers into his own dilemma, but if they were free of it then he would see how Woosung's heart completely shattered to pieces right before his eyes as his hands dropped from his face.

How selfish of him, right?

The thing his, he was never in love with his girlfriend, they were building a relationship and the 'I love yous' don't exactly magically happen from one day to another, or that feeling of love. He didn't want to grow love like that yet until, he needed time to heal.

But Jungkook is in love with Taehyung.

He fell in love with Taehyung. Not some stupid feeling of chills or those flutters in his stomach of a high school crush, but actual love.

As much as Woosung tried to look through the dark cloud in his mind, blinding him to only focus on comforting his poor Bambi, he couldn't help the vine of thorns that squeezed his heart tighter and tighter to feel every sense of pain.

He had to remind himself that he can't be attached like this anymore. This is something that was expected, for Jungkook's heart to move onto someone else.

If only that someone wasn't hurting his heart already.

"How pathetic of me right?" Jungkook sniffles, snapping Woosung from his pained emotions, "To love someone who doesn't even love me back. Who loves my body but don't care about me? So pathetic."

This was the moment Woosung couldn't use his feelings anymore. He has to keep Jungkook positive and happy, no matter what.

Jungkook deserves someone to love his heart and to cherish it because it's just as beautiful as his appearance. Once upon a time Woosung was that man, and now he's just a ghost to that memory.

A past that shouldn't be reached again.

So with a weak smile, he runs his thumbs against Jungkook's knuckles tenderly when he takes both of his hands, " Love isn't pathetic," He manages to say through his soft tone, "It's beautiful... And magical, maybe. It's hard at times, very hard, but it something that fills your heart with something almost similar to pain, that it has to be felt but it's something fills you with hope..... Love is beautiful."

Staring at Jungkook now, who's looking at Woosung with this wide brown eyes only hurts Woosung even more for what he's about to say next, "I believe you both should sit down and have an open conversation with each other," He says, hiding the knot down his throat, "Be honest with him and hopefully he'll be honest with you too. If things don't work out, that's okay because there's more to life that can fill you with so much love and happiness as well. Don't be afraid, know your worth and know that I'm right here for you, you're not alone Bambi. Let yourself be chased after."

Phrase by phrase by phrase felt like a glitter of hope to Jungkook's heart. The weight didn't feel too heavy on his shoulders anymore, instead now he's filled with new determination to look after himself and see if Taehyung ever truly cared about him to reach back.

If he did then they will see where they stand from there, if he doesn't than that's okay too.

However him and Taehyung have their claws on each other too deep that avoiding their presences would be hard to do. So Jungkook knows one day they will have to talk.

And he won't be so weak about it.

So he smiles, wrapping his arms around Woosung's neck, "Thank you for being here, I appreciate it so much."

When he felt Woosung's arms around him again, holding him tightly against his body, his smile slightly drops to how his heart continues to feel that slight skipping by how warm this feels.

Temptation, again that temptation.

He's already moved on, this shouldn't feel so warm.

"How's you and your girlfriend?" He decides to ask, more like a reminder to himself that he can't keep feeling this type of acceleration of his heart by his ex lover.

Woosung pulls away from him and that gave Jungkook the ability to see the slight hurt expression in his eyes, instantly sending him into a massive worry mode.

"We aren't together anymore," Woosung mumbles quietly, bringing his knees to his chest to rest his elbows on them.

Oh...

"What? Why? I thought you guys were okay?"

Woosung bites the inside of his cheek as he rests his chin on his arms, letting out a heavy sigh, "I broke up with her," He says, staring off at the purple bed sheets, "After... The beating. I didn't feel safe and I didn't want to drag her into this either. I spoke to her about it and she understood completely, saying she didn't want to get mixed up in that area of problems as well."

Now this clearly didn't flutter no soft emotions in Jungkook's heart, if anything he felt so much empathy for his ex lover, more worried with the beating he went through. Before they would always face a beating together, which didn't last long before their opponents were dropped unconscious to the ground.

Woosung is good at fighting, very brutal but when it comes to at least more than four people on him, even someone as skilled as him would fall.

And that fucking sucks.

This time Jungkook wasn't there to protect him.

"I'm sorry," Jungkook whispers, placing a hand on head and gently runs his fingers through his wavy caramel hair, "Hopefully after you find out who did this, you would get back together with her when things calmed down."

This only caused a more twitching frown to Woosung's mouth, shaking his head lowly, "I should give myself more time first," He sighs numbly, "I don't want to think about that right now. I just want to focus on figuring out who was behind the attack."

That's understandable.

The last thing one wants after that type of experience is for someone to come after the people they care. It's better to not have anyone around to not risk their safety.

Jungkook can completely relate to that.

It was no problem for them in the past since they knew how to look out for themselves, making their relationship just as strong.

Everyone respected them

Jungkook slightly scoots closer, pouting slightly to the defeated look in Woosung's eyes, "Are you alright though? Why didn't you tell me anything?"

Woosung stares at his eyes, fighting that similar warmth that Jungkook feels by how close he is now, "I didn't want to worry you," And he raises a hand to grasp Jungkook's from his hair, interlacing their fingers together, "You are starting a new life here Bambi. I couldn't just drag you back to Busan, especially when you're suppose to forget about me.... I couldn't make you worry about me like that"

The way Jungkook's heart is pounding against his chest felt like it was only second away from bursting out. That feeling only grew more intense when Woosung subtly glances to his lips but to only force his eyes away with a shakily breath out.

"I should probably go," He whispers, letting go of Jungkook's hand, "Think about what I told you today, yeah?"

He gives Jungkook a forced smile and gets off the bed, making Jungkook feel colder from his warm presence being gone. Having a first love that didn't end in bad terms is hard. It's like those childish emotions comes back quickly, no matter how one tires go push it was. Now with Woosung, Jungkook feels as though he's coming to terms with their standing.... And is learning to let him go.

As his love for Taehyung grows.

Doesn't mean Woosung will never be someone special or someone Jungkook won't love, of course he will..... But now..... This is what's best for now. To still have love but learn to move on.

The red string of connection between the two souls is still strong, and Jungkook is already off the bed too, following behind him.

"I'll walk you out."

Woosung turns his head towards him, a twitching smile on his lips as he opens the door and walks out of his room.

However he suddenly freezes on his steps.

Jungkook slightly bumps on his back when he closes the door, about to say something but silences himself when he sees why Woosung suddenly halted.

There in the living room, speaking to Jimin, is Yoongi.

With Taehyung right beside him.

Holding his hand.
