Chapter two
"No problem, bud." Barley said.
Why was my pelt heating up, I'm not in love, am I?
"Something on your mind?" Barley asked.
"N-no, Nothing..." I trailed off.
"Yeah, sure." Barley said rolling his eyes.
I stood up, shaking the hay and stuff out of my black pelt, as I climbed up to the roof of the barn to get a drink. What is this strange feeling? I shook the subject off. I bent down to get a drink of water. Why do I feel like this? I thought to myself. Why was my pelt heating up every time my best friend spoke to me? I shook it off as I climbed back down the barn.
"Took you long enough." Barley stated as I walked back in. He was cleaning up a bit. I decided maybe I could help him out a bit.
"You need any help?" I asked.
"No, not right now anyway." He said.
"Okay." Was all I said before I walked out, laying down outside the entrance of the barn.
I sighed. The heat of greenleaf was awful, especially when you have a black pelt.
"Hey Ravenpaw." Barley said sitting down beside me.
"Hi." I replied.
"You okay?" He asked.
"I'm fine, it's just the greenleaf heat." I grumbled.
"This heat is awful." He stated.
"I know, and with a pelt like mine, it's a million degrees hotter." I Said.
