-Taiyang Pov-

I let Yang know that (y/n) will be here tomorrow. I try to hide my irritation, since I know damn well he could be here this instant if he wanted to be. She thanks me for calling him, and I nod.I ask her to keep the conversation away from Ruby, since she still doesn't know about Raven. She agrees to do that.

I eventually fish out his kunai from my box from my time at Beacon.

He gave it to everyone on Team STRQ so he could make it to any of us if we needed his help. Although, there is the possibility he forgot he gave them out since he hasn't found Raven, and Summer died.

The next day, Yang and I stand outside. She seems composed, and like she's thinking about what she wants to ask him. While she does this, I toss the kunai into the ground so he can teleport to it, and cross my arms.

In a flash of light, he steps out from the kunai. He looks more or less the same from the time we went to Beacon, although he's taller now and buffer. (y/n) also has several new cuts and scars on him.  He looks at me, and nods slightly and turns to Yang.

" (y/n) (l/n,)" he says as an introduction. " Pleasure to meet you."

She introduces herself and says that she has several questions for him. He nods and turns to me. " If it isn't too much trouble, could you get me something to drink?"

-Your Pov-

Tai nods and goes to get something. You sit down, and Yang joins you on the ground. " I guess my first question is what your Semblance is and how you fight."

" My Semblance is basically teleportation. The kunai your dad has is marked, and I can teleport to anywhere the marking is. It doesn't have to be on a kunai, and I can have unlimited markings, and they never go away. Distance is also not a concern for me. And for as a fight," you smile proudly, and place your hands together. You open your hands and a blue orb appears. " I can condense my aura and manipulate it into this shape. I call it the Rasengan."

Her eyes go wide. " Wow. So, dad says you were friends with his team?"

" That's the short answer. Qrow and I were drinking buddies, and from time to time we still grab a drink together. I was on good terms with Summer, but we never hung out one-on-one. I guess your dad has told you I had feelings for your mother. Because of that, he and I weren't all that close. We could be civil, but we grew apart over the years," you explain.

 " Dad hasn't told me that much about her. What did you see in my mother? I mean, what drew you to her."

You let out a sigh, and twirl the kunai around your hand. " She was beautiful. Strong. Smart. Confident. Funny, in a really dry and sarcastic way. She could be quick to anger, but it was just clear how much she cared about her friends."

" What happened to her kunai? If all members of Team STRQ have one, how come you don't just teleport to see her?"

A chuckle escapes from your lips. " I tried that once. Her kunai is in the ocean. I nearly drowned. That's another thing about Raven, she was resourceful."

" Do you think she's still alive?"

" She's gotta be. I mean, she was one of the best fighters I ever knew. And I refuse to believe that anything could manage to do her in."

The door busts open, and you look to see Tai furious. " Oh, nice to know you remembered that you can teleport to the kunai," he says dryly. " Forget that when it came to Summer?"

You stand up. " Just because I can teleport to the kunai doesn't mean I can see what's happening through them. If I did, I wouldn't teleport myself to the fucking ocean."

" Is it that, or did you just not care about any of us except for Raven? You should've at least teleported to check in on her once and a while. Or maybe try to care about something other than drinking with Qrow or finding Raven."

" Hey, wanna tell me why you haven't looked for her? Let's not accuse me of not caring. Clearly, I care more than you."

He opens his mouth to retort, but you're done. You hand Yang a kunai and apply your marking to it, and enter your number in her scroll. " Call me if you need anything. And be sure to let me know, especially," you turn towards Tai. " I can't see where you are through the kunai."

With that, you teleport off
