Taehyung woke up the next day with an odd feeling. He frowned as he sat up rubbing his eyes to get the sleep out of him, which didn't quite work as he had hoped. He felt cold, even when he slept under the warm blankets he felt cold. Taehyung didn't pay more attention to it and got out of bed putting on the clothes for today. he was glad he didn't have a work uniform, he was more comfortable in his own kinda oversized clothing, he liked it to not be tight around his body.

When he put his head through the hole and lowered the fabric around his waist his eyes looked outside and again he saw a raven on the little balcony railing. it wasn't making any noise, it was just silently sitting there. when he locked eyes with the animal it flew away. Taehyung could hear the 'caw's' as it left the balcony.

"Stupid birds" he mumbled he didnt want the birds to shit all over his balcony. With a sigh he left his bedroom and got himself ready for the day in the bathroom. Taehyung had no photos in his house, normally people would have one or more family photos or fried photos somewhere hanging around but taehyung didn't. He didn't have a family. or he just didn't remember. He had no memory of a parent or brother or sister. not even from him when he was small. He didn't know if he even had a family. He didn't own any photos or anything that could reveal if he had family or not. Taehyung had given up trying to think of it a while ago. if he had it will come one day to him right? it didn't quite work that way but it gave the boy headaches digging in his memories.

"ahh i really don't want to go today" taehyung complained. he felt so tired he had no energy to go and do his work today. with a slumped posture he left the house holding the jacket in his hand as it was quite warm today. but it got colder at night so it was good to have a jacket with you if you were out till late. "I forgot to eat...." Taehyung halted for a few seconds but shook his head. He didn't want to go back home and up all those stars to get himself something. He will just go buy something from the store on the corner.

So he did. He bought himself a sandwich which was cheap and tasted good. while walking out of the store he chomped away the food humming at the taste that filled his mouth. "Okay energy comes to me" he said and chuckled. Slowly he woke up more and more and the energy came back, maybe today wasn't so bad.

"Excuse me, do you know where I can find nature books?" a girl asked.

"yes, follow me" taehyung smiled and got off the ladder he was on to put some books back in place. she followed the boy like he said all the way to the other side of the hall and up one set of stairs. it was on the middle floor. "here it is. it's categorized by species" he said and walked back to where he was working. While he stood on the stairs he looked down at the bottom floor where people walked around with books or sat down on the stairs to read into their chosen book. It was nice and silent here. no loud noises, sometimes footsteps, or a turning of a paper. That's the reason Taehyung worked here for so long already. it was calming. it also wasn't very physical. only the ladder up and ladder down, and the carrying of the book piles. but other than that it was a nice easy job.

"Taehyung!" he heard his voice and turned his head. He saw Namjoon wave a hand at him to come over. quickly taehyung moved down. the staff or more like he and namjoon were the only ones that made some noise. but that was only when they had to call one over or unpack some boxes that came in.

"yes?"

"Someone needs a few specific books. Can you collect those for them and put them in a box?"

"Sure, is there a list?"

"yes here, i don't know if you can read it"

"I think I will figure it out," Taehyung said and chuckled. He did all kinds of things as you can see. from cleaning to sorting books to collecting lists of books for visitors that were too lazy or too old to do it themselves.

"plants and bees," Taehyung said, looking at the first book they needed. He was just at the nature section so he hurried back up the stairs greeting the girl from before when he passed her a second time today.

And just like that his day passed like usual and the sun had started to set. The library was now empty of people leaving Namjoon and Taehyung who sat at a table eating dinner together. They had some simple ramen from the restaurant nearby with a glass of water.

"Your help is really appreciated, but don't you think you are working too much?" Namjoon asked. Taehyung was almost here every day, all day.

"no, I don't mind. it's not like I have to do anything else when I'm home" Taehyung shrugged, he didn't really have any hobbies. reading was something he did enjoy. but he worked in a library so books were enough for him to peek into when namjoon wasn't looking.

"if you want vacation or a day off just ask, there isn't always much to do.'' Namjoon smiled at the younger who ate his ramen with big bites and slurping the noodles through his lips. '

"yes yes i know" taehyung chuckled. "Besides, this is delicious!"

"it is. they always have great food" Namjoon had already finished and was just waiting for taehyung to be done so he could clean the table. The boy finished right after and pushed his bowl forward, wiping his mouth clean with the paper.

"thank you for the meal"

"my pleasure" namjoon smiled and stood up collecting the dishes together.

"I will stay a bit longer. I want to read something before I go home," Taehyung announced. the older one nodded and walked away. "okay!" Taehyung now could make noise when he wanted to, but there were no visitors anyway. He went back to the fantasy side of the library. He bent down to the lowest part and reached over some books to the little gap that was behind them. He always hid his book somewhere so no one would take it with them. flopping on his ass and crossing his legs he opened the fantasy story and continued reading. The dim lights of the library gave him just enough to read it without any trouble.

Suddenly there was a thud, the sound of a book falling. Taehyung put his book down on the ground and stood up, leaving the row of shelves to look around the corner. He noticed a book had fallen out of the shelf a few rows further that where he was now. with a sigh the boy headed there to put it back. "Did someone not push you far enough?" he asked the book as he kneeled down and picked it up. It was a black covered book. The title said, 'demons'. "demons hm?" He turned a few pages, seeing weird photos and long texts. Suddenly he heard another sound and turned to look behind him at Namjoon's desk in the middle of the hall. He frowned seeing a raven sit on the desk walking over the papers that were laying there. Taehyung quickly shut the book and pushed it back in place hurrying to the desk waving his hand at the bird. "shoo! not on inside!" the bird flew up and landed somewhere else. its eyes staring at him.

"Caw!" he said. it sounded annoyed by taehyung's actions and flaw right at him. The boy yelped and covered his face feeling the bird's wings mess up his hair when it flew against him.

"ah! stop it!" he said and waved his hands around. the bird landed on Namjoon's chair. Taehyung frowned at it in annoyance. "stupid bird!"

"Caw!" Then the bird flew away through the open window near the ceiling. Taehyung sighed and brushed his fingers through his hair to fix the mess the bird made. When he walked back to his book he saw someone in the entrance. but before he could even say something the person turned around and left.

the first full chapter of RAVEN. i hope you enjoyed. i still dont really know how to begin a book and get to the point things happen. its always a bit hard as im not sure about the speed of it. but i will try it a  bit different a bit faster than i usually do. so the book wont have like 80+ chapters lmao.
