"Why can't I go out???! Ughhh!" taehyung whined as he rolled on his back. He had been staying here for almost three days now. He wanted to go out but Namjoon wouldn't let him. He kept saying it was too dangerous to go out there now. That he had to wait until Jungkook came to get him.

"because i tell you so" Namjoon said while he was reading behind his desk. Namjoon had closed the library since he took Taehyung under the library's protection. He wasn't taking any risks on getting spied on by possible hunters.

One because Namjoon didn't quite like to engage in any violence. But also because he promised to keep the boy safe.

"i wanna go outside"

"no is no taehyung" namjoon flipped another page, well until he suddenly looked up from his book and shut the book with a smack. "Okay, he's here" he stood up from his desk.

"what? who?" Taehyung sat up straight when Namjoon said that and seeing the man walk away he rushed on his feet and followed the older to the middle, where a black raven flew through the window shifting to his human form. But he wasn't alone, he was accompanied by a cat and two knocks on the door.

"Taehyung if you don't mind, open the door for our guest" Namjoon said while he looked at Jimin and Jungkook.

"uh...sure '' Taehyung walked to the library door that was usually locked the last two days but some magical way was unlocked now. He was surprised to see Yoongi standing there.

"oh, hello Taehyung. we meet again" yoongi smiled and walked past Taehyung inside the library joining the other three. They all waited for Taehyung to close the door and come to them as well before speaking.

"So, any updates?" Namjoon asked yoongi.

"Yea, it's getting out of hand" Yoongi replied and sighed with a frown. "The hunters are taking this too far, they are not filtering anymore. They are killing every living shifter, good or bad. they even killed children! whose children don't even know what they are! this is crazy!"

"he's right Joon, i have seen them patrol the city at night invading homes. They are revealing themselves to the world, along with our existence. it will just be a matter of time until this all blows up into something probably worse" jungkook said. meanwhile taehyung just looked at them in confusion, he would have appreciated some backstory instead of jumping right in.

"There is less time than said. but we can't rush things. we have to wait for taehyung to find his powers, we shouldnt act until then. We need him" namjoon looked at Taehyung who just looked so confused like a little kid.

"Hm, we just have to make sure they dont get their hands on him or we will be fuuucked" jimin said and swung his arm over taehyung's shoulder. "so what ya say, wanna go on an adventure?"

"Jimin, no" jungkook grabbed the cat's collar and pulled him back. "it's not the time for games now, we have to focus. I think it's best to take taehyung to the location, it might activate him somehow"

"we don't even know if it will work, you know she isn't with us anymore"

"it's worth trying" Jungkook looked at taehyung who now frowned at them.

"uhm explain?" Taehyung said, trying to get into the conversation.

"were going on a road trip!" jimin smiled and threw his hands up. "how exitinggg"

"It's not that far but whatever" namjoon chuckled and walked to his desk. "i will stay here, stay safe out there alright. keep it low"

"we will be fine, they got me," Jungkook said and grinned a little."

"Jungkook, we both know you can't do this much longer. keep.it.low" Namjoon frowned at the other as he spoke sternly. Jungkook then looked away and sighed.

"what is he talking about?'' Taehyung asked, sensing an off mood in the room suddenly.

"nothing! lets go" jimin broke the awkward silence and pulled taehyung with him out of the library.

Taehyung glanced back at Jungkook who didn't look back at him for some reason. something was definitely going on with him but Jungkook wasn't telling him, and so were the others. and that made taehyung worry.

"oh jimin did you know we can grow fucking big as well?" Jimin said, rambling at the other fever since they left the library.

"I didn't, what is that?"

"well like Jungkook for example. He may look like a little cute bird but that's just his basic form. his travel form you may call it. but his full form is amazing. It's huuuge! like, like, like bigger than a car. I have seen it once, he was basically eating up the enemies! those hunters were dead meat!"

"Jimin" jungkook walked by the two, placing a warning hand on jimin's shoulder.

"Ah yea, Jungkook doesn't like to talk about it. sorry" Jimin scratched his head a little intimidated.

"I see" taehyung wondered why jungkook was hiding so much, what was there to hide for real? "soo...how long?"

"almost there, were over the half." jungkook said, luckily he remembered the way. yoongi couldnt joining them as it might blow his cover with the hunters if they were found out somehow.

"where exactly are we going?" Taehyung asked walking faster to catch up with Jungkook walking next to him. almost immediately jungkook's cold expression of before softened, and he glanced back at him acknowledging taehyung's presence at his side.

"hmm" jungkook thought for a moment how to say it less complicated. "it's a place where it's said that everything happened. where our 'creator' or 'god' whatever you may call it, infected us. where she spread her poison over the earth and unleashed her own creations. Which is you as well. you are one made by her personally, you could call her your mother in some way" jungkook didn't plan on telling taehyung this all now but he didnt feel like hiding everything from taehyung now, taehyung could know. "she gifted you to your now passed away family to raise you under the humans as a disguise, it would provide you safety until you got strong enough to join us. to protect all of us from the threat we call hunters."

"then...what are you?"

"I am one of her...as well..in some way, '' Jungkook said and glanced away for a second. something wasn't right about that answer, taehyung felt it.

"What do you mean, in some way?"

"i uh...."

"wow were here!'' Jimin interrupted Jungkook and rushed past them running to the tip off the cliff looking down. "fuck thats a long way down, i dont remember it being this deep"

Jungkook took a relieved breath and quickly walked away, dropping the subject right away. "Taehyung, i know this might be a lot to ask, but this is something you have to do"

"okay, what do i do?" Taehyung said, frowning a little not getting the strange concerned tone in Jungkook's voice.

"we want to try to speed up your progress, you haven't fully grown yet but we don't have the time to wait longer.'' Jungkook halted his words and walked closer to Taehyung, placing his hand on Taehyung's forehead. Taehyung felt a tingling feeling in his body when Jungkook did that. The raven took a few seconds and then removed his hand, shaking it a few times. "you should have build up enough strength to do your first shift, it is risky but you should be able to do it"

"uhm, but how? I don't understand, I didn't even know I was a shifter until a few days ago..."

"Well I can't tell you how, you have to find it yourself. Everyone has a different connection to their demons. Yours needs to be awakened first. Which mostly happens when you need them the most and it's related to your demon in some way. that's the best way to connect and awaken your real demon self." jungkook spoke. "in this case you will have to jump"

"jump...wait what..." taehyung's eyes widened and he looked at the cliff pointing at it. " form THAT?!"

"exactly"

"Are you crazy!?? I will die! I will splash at the bottom, no way am I going to jump off there!!"

"Tae, you have to trust your demon. if you really are one of us your demon will take over, it wont let you die. I felt you could do it. if you somehow can't i won't let you die. i will catch you"

"But how will you do that?! you are like THIS big" taehyung shoved around a 40 cm gap with his hands. "you....oh...you mean big bird?"

"mhm '' Jungkook nodded and sighed. He didn't know if he would even be able to survive doing that again, but if this really goes wrong then he had to do it. he can't let taehyung die, even if it meant sacrificing himself in order for the boy to live. Taehyung may not know but he was more important than he thought he was. He was the only one that could destroy the hunters and protect both humans and shifters from the evil ones...the lost souls. but also Jungkook's mate. and he will do everything for his mate. even if the other didn't acknowledge it yet.

"I am so not going to, c-can't we wait? i-i don't want to!'' Taehyung walked away from the cliff.

"tae, we don't have the time. '' Jungkook followed taehyung, meanwhile jimin was walking around the area waiting for them to finish the conversation.

"i d-don't want to im s-scared to do that! I don't want to die...."

"You won't, I won't let you die. please...trust me"

"I do but...you're asking me to jump off a cliff and hope I don't die..."

"I know, but I won't let you, I will come get you. I promise!"

"okay....let me...think for a minute okay.."

"oka-"

Jungkook suddenly stopped and looked around with his eyes. Jimin did the same. inching closer to the two slowly.

"uhm kook. i think we're not alone" jimin whispered as they caged jimin between them shielding him from a possible attack.

"what-"

"shh" jungkook sushed taehyung. his eyes turned black seeing everything more sharp than before. letting his demon side scan the dark forest ahead of them. He could confirm, they were not alone indeed. "Hunters, be ready" jungkook said and jimin nodded, he clawed his hands and eyes glowed, now seeing their uninvited guests in the bushes clearly.

Right when this all happened the hunters realised they had been caught and jumped out of their hiding spots running at them. their emerald weapons ready to kill.

They were slowly getting surrounded by the hunters who for some reasons did not attack but just circled around them. They were waiting for orders.

"Well well" a man's voice was heard and from the path they came from walked a tall man with a long black coat, it looked like a rain coat. on his shoulder was the emblem of the hunters. He looked a bit different. He was taller. He was dressed differently, like he didn't need any protection. His face is full on display, not covered by a mask. His eyes were icy blue staring at the three men he let his men cage in. at the tall man's side stood another rather differently dressed man, he was still protected but just a darker color. matching the tall man's.

"Who are you!" Jimin shouted at the tall man.

"hm that's not a way to speak to someone you just met, isn't it?'' the man chuckled. "but if you must know. i am their leader. my name is Kim seokjin, pleasure to meet my enemies i would say" he grinned and stared right at taehyung. "you have someone i want, i would like to ask you to kindly hand it over to me, you can go free after." Soekjin said simply. He just needed the boy if he did then the other demons wouldn't be a problem to him anymore, he knew that very well.

"no" Jungkook said sternly and stood ready for battle. He wasn't just going to give the hunters what they wanted. "over my dead body"

"jung-"

"Very well," Seokjin sighed and raised his hand. "Capture the kid, kill the other two"
