Chapter 9, Raven to the Rescue
What a cliffhanger that was back there! You guys were literally calling out for someone to save her and I thought to myself, 'Why not make Raven prince charming for a day?'
So, guys, go read about what happened with the damsel in distress!
Lillian's POV
He slowly leans in as I struggle to move from his forceful hold.
"Oh," He murmurs, cheekily. "What do we have here? You've got a mark."
So it's a mark? From what?
"Someones already tried to have a go at you. I can't blame them," His said, staring intently at the wound. "You smell delicious."
"Get off me you creep!" I shout. My breathing becomes heavier as I fear my times running out.
"I've been called worse. Trust me," He smirks then whispers. "Much...worse."
I had to make more time for myself. Maybe someone will decide to be a fool and walk down the alleyway. Just like me.
"W-who are you?" I stutter, trying to not look suspicious.
He grins this evil grin and I shiver for the hundredth time now.
He leans in towards my ear and whispers something that echoes in the back of my mind.
"Your worst nightmare."
His devilish laughter fills the silent alleyway and I can't help the tears that escape my eyes.
I was going to die... Next to a bunch of infected rats...
"Now, I shouldn't be playing with my food. But I'll let you in on a little secret shall I. Once I get started...I can't seem to stop."
As the tears continue to spill, sobs escape my mouth and I can't help pray that this man has mercy on his victims.
His evil laughter ceases as he grabs a hold of my neck and leans in.
I tightly shut my eyelids, hoping I die quickly...painlessly.
He flicks his tongue over my neck and I gag unwillingly, feeling something sharp graze my neck.
He breaths deeply against my neck, retreating to a more inappropriate spot.
He rested his head on my chest which I tried squirming away from.
The beating of my heart had him smirking in delight.
He then lifted my wrist to his mouth and murmured, "I like my meals to be... freshly bitten."
Something tells me that this male doesn't want my virginity. That that's nowhere near what he's after.
Without warning, he sinks his sharp teeth into my flesh and I scream, feeling blood trickle down my wrist.
I saw him sucking on the wound like his life depended on it.
He gripped my arm tightly then abruptly let's go.
I feel all my energy drain out of me and my eyelids go heavy.
I weakly lower my head to look at him and he smirks, showing off his blood-stained fangs.
My eyes widen in realisation and I feel hidden memories flash before my eyes.
How at the party, I was drunk and this man approached me... How he looked into my eyes and I couldn't look away...couldn't tell him to stop...
I remembered how Raven saved me, ripping the man from my neck.
So much blood...
H-he looked into my eyes and told me to forget...
'You will forget everything, Lillian.' I remember him whispering into my ear.
Tears slide down my cheeks. It can't...it can't be true.
They aren't real... Monsters aren't real...
But deep down in the bottom of my heart, into the depths of realisation, I knew for a fact, they were.
"Oh my god..." I whisper. "You're a V-v-v-vampire."
I felt silly for saying it, and I couldn't seem to get the word out until the fourth try.
He says nothing, only moving his head further and further towards my throat. His eyes hold so much desire it frightened me. Not that he hasn't already.
He brushed his fangs against the surface of my skin then stopped on one particular spot.
The place where my shoulder reached my neck. I squirmed in his grip, but to no avail, did not succeed in doing anything useful.
His fangs prodded at my skin, unable to decide whether to pierce it or not.
He went with the first option, his fangs slowly entering my neck.
I bit my lip to avoid screaming which would've been the best idea. He sucked in long gulps of my blood, seeing it trail from the corner of his lips to his chin.
I released a high pitched scream as he used his bottom fangs to drink more blood.
Squirming did not affect my current situation and neither did kicking. I inhaled a deep breath, my head limply drooping to the side.
Unexpectedly, the man is ripped off me and goes smashing into the wall opposite me.
I look over to see my knight in shining armour, Raven.
"It's about time," I breathe out- maybe a bit too quickly.
"No 'Thank you' orrr 'God, Raven that's hot'?"
He smirks in my directed and I feel my heart soar sky high.
How can he make me feel safe in such a dangerous situation?
"Raven, babe, I knew you'd save me! Give me a kiss!" I say sarcastically, making sure it was obvious.
"Oh, sure, if you insist," He says, joyfully.
But before he could earn his well-deserved kiss, the man comes up behind him and snaps his neck...
