Raven's POV

The room was nothing but silence.

"I think your drunk," Emerick speaks up first.

The girl was drunk! She was swaying from side to side, mumbling words then shouting them.

"I saw a vam-I SAW A VAMPIRE!" She screams, pointing to the door.

"No, you didn't because vampires aren't real," Emerick said, putting his glass down and slowly walking over to her.

I heard snickers and small laughs from behind me and I had to curl my lips to prevent my own laugh from slipping.

"The-they are! A kid was biting a girls neck! Blood was dripping from his teeth." The girl opens her mouth and points to her teeth.

Rose was next to speak.

"Let me kill her, Emerick. She's a human, a worthless-"

I cut her off. "That's not going to happen. That's Ellie, Lillian's friend."

"Oh, boohoo," she pouts sarcastically.

I growl.

"If we kill her were asking for trouble. Questions will be asked. Think Rose!"

"I am thinking, Raven. I'm thinking that we can just compel Lily to forget her friend."

"I said no! No is no! End of conversation," I shout.

Thankfully, she shuts her mouth.

I sigh. "Who was the girl you saw getting bitten?"

I was kidding myself. Who am I to suddenly care?

It was probably a vampire anyways. But what came out Ellie's mouth filled me with sudden rage.

"Lillian... sh-she was grabbed by-"

But before she could finish her sentence, I ran past Emerick and Ellie then into the busy room.

It was past 12 and all the vampires were feasting. The first word that entered my mind was... shit!

I frantically looked around the room, searching for Lily.

I caught a glimpse of her shiny red hair at the far end of the room with a tall muscular guy.

He had his arms around her, one pushing her hip against the wall and the other on her neck.

His lips were attacking her neck and Ellie was right. Blood stained both their shirts....wet blood.

The sight filled me with nothing but rage.

I used my vampire speed to push my way to her, ripping the guy off of her, then twisting his head.

"Raven? I fe-feel dizzy..." She mumbles, trying to stand up straight.

"I said no one is to touch her!" I yelled to the crowd that now surrounds us.

"This," I point to the unconscious vampire. "Is what happens if you disobey me! Next, it will be a stake to the heart!"

I turn my attention to Lily who looks like she's about to lose consciousness.

"Lily, do you hear me? Lillian stay with me. Don't fall asleep," I say, picking her up bridal style.

"Raven, I see stars!" She giggles and despite the odds were in, I smile.

"Rose, keep the party alive. Emerick, take care of Ellie. Get her home safe. It was a mistake to invite them tonight," I ordered, rushing Lily out of the house.
