Chapter 4, Vampire!
Raven's POV
"Raven," She breaths out. I smirk, loving the way she said my name like I stole her breath away.
"Lily," I say. "I'm glad you came."
"Well, I didn't have much of a choice," she remarks, folding her arms over her chest.
She looks so cute when she's stubborn. I've only known this girl for a day, less than a day, and she's already my newest addiction.
Whenever I'm around her I can feel the urge to bite her throat and suck her dry. She's not like other girls, not like any I've ever lured in before.
Because she's human, her scent is rich and alluring, attracting single vampire males. What she and her friend didn't know, is that they've just walked into a house full of vampires.
"So...," she says, breaking me from my thoughts. "This is one hell of a party you have here."
"Yeah. It can be a living hell if you make it." When I said that, I was referring to the swarm of vampires in the room.
I could see my sister and two brothers looking at me, clearly confused why I was trying to interact with a human instead of eating her alive.
Everyone at this party is a vampire, except those few human slaves who are compelled to do what they're told.
The only girls who aren't are Lily and... what's her name again? Ellie?
I've told everyone to keep a low profile and take their... business upstairs if necessary.
She shifts uncomfortably and I excuse myself, walking towards my siblings who are now making their way into a more secluded room.
"Another one of your bloodlust desires, Raven. I knew you wouldn't last long," My sister, Rose, giggles. "I'm surprised you didn't have her up against the wall, tearing her neck to shreds."
"She's not a meal to me, sister. There's something different about her," I reply, looking at Lillian from across the room.
She's so beautiful and innocent, it drives me crazy. I just want to take all the innocence away from her, feasting on her heart from my very hands.
But that was the bad side of me. The other part of me wanted to lure her away and steal her heart in the more romantic fashion.
Rose laughs. It was wicked and sinful. Wrong and unholy.
"Don't tell me you have feelings for a mortal, Raven. Or I'll be forced to take action."
I was at her in an instant, pinning her neck against the wall. She doesn't look phased.
She just grips my hand, smiling her cheekiest grin. She was such a rat-infested thing. Always will be.
In the old days, she would feed on anyone and anything she could get her hands on.
At one point it got so bad that we had to move states, making new identities and everything.
"If you touch her I swear to fucking Satan I will-"
"Stop it! You two are acting like a couple of spoilt brats."
I turn around to see one of my brothers walking toward us, hooking arms with Sky, his girlfriend who he has dated now for 1000 years.
I got to say she has the looks. But she's not as attractive as Lillian.
I have to admit I may have banged her once or twice.....but that's beside the point. Only me and Sky know what happened that night, and I want to keep it that way.
"You know for a guy, you sure act like a little bitch," He murmurs, pouring himself some bourbon.
I look at Rose, give her a look that could kill, then let her go.
"You can talk, Emrick," I say.
"Shut your hole, brother. Now, what are you and Rose squabbling about?"
And just as I was about to answer, a girl stumbles into the room and shouts, "Vampire! I saw a vampire!"
I love this chapter! It's my favourite so far. I will hopefully continue to update this week! ❤
