Chapter 11, Infinite Thurst
Have you ever had so much inspiration for a book that you didn't want to stop writing it?
And that if you did stop writing it, all that inspiration would vanish and you'd be left with no ideas at all? And then that book would be left to a complete standstill!
Well, that's how I feel...
I just can't stop writing this book.

Raven's POV
"Raven, calm down," Emerick says. "It's honestly not the end of the world, brother. There are other women out there just as beautiful as she is."
I growled, not liking how he speaks of Lily. No one is as beautiful as she is! She's special...unique. It was impossible to find a way to describe it to him!
"You don't understand," was all said, not bothering to explain it to him.
After more than 1000 years, you'd expect him to understand, to see things from my perspective, but he doesn't.
He just sat there, continuing his make-out session with Sky, kissing her neck, down to her chest then up to her face, her lips, her jugular.
How I crave that that was me and Lillian... For her to love me just as much as Emerick loves Sky.
Sky was a very striking woman, I couldn't lie.
With hair that was midnight black and lips that were strawberry sweet, it was hard not to find her attractive.
Though, for me, she did not come close to being as stunning and as beautiful as Lillian Blodsugare.
I diverted my eyes from them, trying to give my full attention to finding Lily. For all I knew, she could be in a torture chamber, being drained of all her blood as we speak!
For the first time, I realise that Rose wasn't here. Usually, she would be taking this time to annoy the devil out of me.
"Where the hell is Rose?" I asked, not sure who I was asking.
Emerick didn't stop what he was doing but this time, Sky answered me.
"She mentioned something about...going to see an acquaintance. A friend... on the east side of town, at a nightclub called Infinite Thirst. "
She said between breaths.
Her voice was ragged and deep, probably having a hard time not taking things further with Emerick.
In other words, dragging him straight to their bedroom and kissing the life out of him.
I better go...
"Thanks, er, Sky," I mumble, making my way to the door.
"Oh, and Raven," Emerick warns, sounding more like a threat. "Whatever you do, do not give this Lillian your blood...even if she's dying. I don't care if she's on her deathbed begging you to turn her, I will not have her soul on my hands."
* * *
I needed to find Rose.
Because Emerick and Sky were more than busy sucking each others faces off and my other brother, Malcolm, whom I didn't trust, was out hunting, so Rose was the only person I could really rely on.
Thanks to my lightning speed and Sky's helpful information, I was standing outside Infinite Thurst within 5 minutes.
I didn't bother to wait in the long line of impatient people so I just skipped to the front, compelled the security guard to let me in, and whala!
But as I walked in, it was nothing like I expected. I think I was imagining a bar...but what I saw was far from it.
It was a strip club...
And I could instantly see why they called it the Infinite Thurst...
The smell of blood and seduction was everywhere! It made my throat burn and unimaginable cravings fill my mind.
This was no ordinary club alright. This was was a vampire club.
It's a good thing we don't necessarily need air to breathe cause if I didn't hold my breathe as I ventured on, I would've most likely spiralled out of control.
Why would Rose meet with a friend here? Of all places?
And the other question was: Who was this friend she had met with?
Rose had never said anything about an acquaintance before.
For millennium years, it was hard to even make friends considering we lived around humans who couldn't know about us. Our kind.
I decided to head to the bar first. Maybe the bar manager had seen Rose and her friend earlier.
I caught a lot of girls staring as I made my way towards the bar, but none of them appealed to me.
I would usually be over there in a flash, flirting and making small talk with them, but that all changed when I met Lillian.
"Bourbon? Scotch? What takes your fancy, boy?" The bartender asks, holding a glass of brandy in his hands.
"Some of that thanks," I say, pointing towards the drink whilst taking a seat on the stool beside me.
The one thing I loved about being immortal was that you could drink as much as you want and never get drunk. Not even if you locked yourself in a room and indulge yourself with 50 bottles.
The bartender walks off but I quickly grab him by his arm.
"Before you go, mate, is there by any chance you've seen a woman here today? She's tall, defined, has long blonde hair, a cunning little thing if you ask me."
"Does she go by the name of Rose?" He asks, eyebrows raised.
"Yes, she does," I replied hopefully. "And I'm assuming someone was with her?"
"Yeah. He was a young lad, a few years older than you. Actually, now that I mention it, he looked almost exactly like you."
He laughs, clutching his stomach.
"And what did this 'mini-me' look like?" I asked smugly, taking a sip of bourbon.
It slides down my throat effortlessly, burning my pharynx.
"Like you," He replies.
I throw him a serious look and he adds, "Ok, ok. I see you're serious. He had black hair that was pushed back with what I assumed was hair gel. He wore a black shirt that matched a leather jacket and ripped-"
I stopped him, one hand raised at his face.
He's describing the exact same man that attacked Lillian in the alleyway that morning...
My hands start to tremble and my vision turns red and splotchy.
Could it be that Rose had something to do with that early event? Could she be working with that murdering bloodsucking dickheaded-
"He goes by the name of Draven," He quickly adds.
Draven... Why does that name sound so familiar?
"They were talking about someone...a girl...called Lillian?" He questions himself. "Yeah, Lillian. Saying something about taking her to the old abandoned church further south."
So much for relying on my dear little sister. She had plotted on my love...my Lillian! How dare she!
I couldn't stay anymore. I didn't want to hear any more.
I had enough evidence to know that Rose had gone against me and taken the one thing that meant the world to me.
Was Lily alright? Why would Rose turn against me? And who was this Draven she had joined allies with?
As soon as I make it to that abandoned church, the sooner I'd find out.
