Chapter 10, Hold up!
1 word
. . . kidnapped.
Lillian's POV
A scream escapes me as Raven drops to the floor, motionless.
"No!" I shout as I fall beside him. "No, no, no, Raven!"
I cradle him in my arms as I look up to the enemy, giving him the meanest look I could muster.
"You didn't have to do that!" I shout, turning my attention back to the beautiful boy in front of me.
"Yes, I did." He replies, unfazed. "We better go now, he'll wake up soon."
"Wait, we? As if! I'm not going anywhere with you!"
"I'm afraid you don't have a choice."
He looked me up and down, giving me an approving look. And that's when I realised my clothes were covered in blood.
"Your lucky that is dry otherwise I'd have an excuse to kill you," He says angrily.
"Lily?" Raven whispers and I quickly turn to him, shocked but relieved at the same time.
He stirs, opening his eyes ever so slightly, and I get a glimpse of his enchanting eyes.
My heart beats erratically like a girl kissing her crush for the first time.
For some reason, I was drawn to this male like no other. It felt like fate brought us together for a reason... But I yet to know why.
I reach for his hand, attempting to comfort him, to let him know I was here but the man grabs my arm and yanks me from the floor.
"Don't even think about it," He hisses, his tone turning from mean to bittersweet. "Say 'Bye bye Raven'."
He smirks a wicked grin and before I could scream for help, we zoom off down the alleyway and into the light.

"You what?" I hear someone say, their voice muffled by the ringing in my ears.
"I know what it sounds like but it's not as bad as you think. My love, I promise."
"Don't give me that mushy lovestruck voice. You realise Raven's going to kill you for what you did to her!"
It was the sound of a woman, and I could tell by her tone that she was angry.
"I think I can handle myself, darling. Plus, he won't kill me once I tell him who I am," The male urges.
"You don't know him like I do. Trust me when I tell you, he will tear you to shreds when he finds that disgusting mortal girl and sees what you've done to her!"
"Why does he suddenly take an interest in her anyway?" The male, who I think was my kidnapper, asks. "She's a mortal. I could kill her right now with a flick of my finger if I wanted too. She won't be able to survive in our world, even if Raven was by her side 24/7 to protect her."
"I don't know but remember, that's why she's here. We need to get rid of her so that Raven can get over his obsession for that human."
My heart accelerates when she mentions getting rid of me.
My palms were suddenly sweaty and the adrenaline coursing through my system was shutting down my ability to think logically.
I quickly fumbled with the strain on my wrists but my heart and body went dead still when I heard what they said next.
"By getting rid of her, do you mean... killing her- "
"Shhh! She's awake," the women interrupts and I hear fast footsteps coming my way.
Before I could react, a male and female walk in, standing side-by-side in front of me.
I gasp internally for she was the most beautiful women I'd ever seen.
You could tell by looking at her that she was the kind of girl woman loved to hate.
She was an adult I suppose, but so young that she still had the exuberance of youth.
Her muscle definition was perfect and she walked with the confidence of someone a decade older.
She wasn't just flawless in her bone structure, her skin was like silk over glass and she radiated an intelligent beauty.
She had a voice of a siren, probably to lure in men. I knew straight away she'd have to be a vampire. I mean, C'mon! No one could look that beautiful.
But still... something felt off about her.
"Hello, Lillian. Allow me to introduce myself," she smiles, showing off her straight pearl-white teeth. "I'm Rose, Raven's little sister."
"And I'm Draven," My kidnapper adds. "Raven's unknown brother."
