Warning: If you don't like rants, then please don't read!

Okay, so. My friend musicalsaregood is in the process of writing a Ninjago fanfiction and she and I discovered a bit of a plot hole in Season 1.

Remember how all of the Serpentine Generals had staffs? And that each staff has an antivenom in the staff that cancels out the Serpentine's power? Like, how the antivenom in the Hypnobrai's staff made a town un-hypnotized?

Here's my question: why does that even exist?

I mean, sure the ninja need some way to counteract the Serpentine's power, but having the antivenom always on hand means that there's always the slightest possibility that someone is going to be able to swipe the staff and use the antivenom. Jay's parents could have and probably would have become snakes if the Fangpyre's staff didn't have an antivenom in it.

And speaking of antivenom, I can get why the Hypnobrai, Fangpyre, and Venomari have antivenom in  their staffs. But why the heck do the Constricti and Anacondrai have it?! Their powers don't even require having one! What, is some idiot going to say, 'Oh wow, that snake just turned invisible; I need some antivenom!' or 'Geez, this snake is literally squeezing the life outta me. Better take some antivenom!'

It's. Freaking. Useless. 

And it shouldn't even exist! If the Constricti and Anacondrai are based on real life snakes(which, given their names, is likely) then they shouldn't even have venom to begin with! Anacondas are constrictors. They squeeze their prey to death. They don't have any venom! And, oh wow, guess what: you kinda need venom in order to make antivenom! If you don't have one, then you don't have either one!

*pants* So. In conclusion, the Serpentine shouldn't carry their antivenom around with them at all times if they ever want to get the upper hand, and the Constricti and Anacondrai don't have any antivenom in their staffs. It's just colored water.
