REASONS!!!!

Pros: Here me out, okay? DarkStalker was put to sleep when he was around....let's say 5. So, when he wakes up, he is mentally 5. Moon is 4. This only ONE YEAR. Yeah sure, Darky did "age"  for two thousand years, but mentally he's only 5! Also, there interactions and stuff are GOLD. Who doesn't love a hero x villain ship! And out of all the dragons Darky meets, he respects Moon. Also, after re-reading book 6, this ship gets waaaayy better. You might think i'm crazy, fine. 

Cons: .....okay. He is 2,000 years older than her, technically. And I guess you could say the ship is abusive, and I can't really disagree to that. Darky is super manipulative and I think it's for the best that this ship didn't work out. However, maybe if he was a little bit smaller (actually not a little bit a LOT BIT) and he was more understanding, sure. It's a great ship. But changing that would just change DarkStalker's character, which I don't think any of us want! So... yeah. His ship does have it's flaws. 

I'm just saying it could  he really cute.
