Chapter 7 Rapunzel

Rapunzel walked through the streets of New York with ease. It was boring knowing that no one could see you. She went into Central Park and enjoyed seeing the sights but still she felt empty. She wished she could talk to someone. She sat on the park bench watching the pigeons walk around.

"Hey blondie what are you doing in my spot!" Yelled an elderly woman. She had an old green frock on with a dark green shawl to cover her shoulders. Her hair was like her friend Merida's only it was a startling white.

Rapunzel looked confused and turned to see if anyone was behind her.

"I'm talking to you dead girl who do you think you are waltzing in here like you own the place. I've been sitting on that bench since 1935 and I died on that bench in 1999."

"I'm sorry! I didn't know anyone could see me!" Rapunzel said standing up.

"Only ghosts can see each other. You must be a fresh one. Gosh so young looking." The old woman said sitting down.

"My name is Rapunzel. I died three years ago when I got hit by a car." Rapunzel said sitting next to the old woman.

"Vanellope Von Shweetz, heart attack."

"So how did you stay here?" Rapunzel asked.

" I'm too stubborn to go the other side. This is my heaven sitting on my bench watching the birds that's all I want." Vanellope answered.

"What about your family and your friends?" Rapunzel asked.

"Well if my mother is up there," Vanellope pointed upwards. "Then I'm definitely not going up there. I like being by myself, so if you don't mind."

"Sorry I just really wanted someone to talk to. You see I was in the waiting line for the other side, and well they sent me back because I hadn't finished my dream. And the person who Is supposed to help me isn't really happy because I ruined his life when I died and and... I just don't know what to do." Rapunzel cried as she explained her situation. The old lady looked at her with confusion.

"Get yourself together blondie. You ruined his life? Is he still living?"

Rapunzel shook her head yes.

"Well then he's fine! You're the one who died. Who does he think he is telling you that! You're the one stuck in this predicament. He didn't die!" Vanellope said.

"But he he isn't happy...and it's my fault,"

"Oh boo hoo. It's been three years he should've gotten over it by now. It's his own fault that he's not happy he's holding on to the past." Vanellope said.

"No it's not his fault." Rapunzel defended.

"Well it certainly isn't yours." Vanellope replied. She fed the birds some more sun flower seeds as they waddled around her feet. "Listen all you have to do is find what makes him happy."

"He wants to have a novel published." Rapunzel said.

"Ha! That won't keep him happy for long he needs something that will last." Vanellope said.

"I could bring Merida and Hiccup! Then he could be happy! We were all so close in high school it's perfect." She said.

"Good glad you had an epiphany now leave my bench." Vanellope said.

Rapunzel thanked the old woman and went off back to the apartment to tell Jack.
