3rd pov

"Onward!" 

a slightly younger y/n holds onto her brothers back as he climbs up the tree to the fountain of youth. 

"yes! onward  little n/n!" Ban says in excitement.  

"Hey! Im not little! only by three years." y/n adds on whispering the last part to herself.

"Finally!" Ban says happily

y/n hops off of the makes back and onto the tree only to be greeted with a smaller girl with blonde hair and a pretty white dress. 

"Hello there!" y/n says with a smile. 

Ban sneaks around the two girls and attempts to take the cup. But before he could they girl makes a gust of wind blow and he goes flying off of the tree.

"Ban!" y/n says in a panic. 

"You're not here to steal the cup?" she asks her with a tilted head. 

"No no. I Just follow my brother wherever he goes. and if you'll excuse me I have to go get him." and with that y/n jumps off the side of the tree.  

she didn't realize how far it went down so she started freaking out. As she reaches the bottom she braces for impact. but instead of the crushing ground, she feels a comfortable pillow-like feeling. She looks to see that she landed in a big mushroom.

"Baaaaaan~ where are youuuu~" she sings out only to see him walking to find her again as well. 

"Ban!" She runs up to her big brother and hops on his back again. "Let's keep going!" she says putting a hand in the air. 

He smiles to himself at his energetic little sister.

"O-ok, onward- oh forget it just go." a tired y/n says as she puts her head on Ban's shoulder and he climbs up one more time.

they reach the top and of course, Ban and the girl start to argue. y/n sits at the end on the tree staring into the trees from above. y/n soon realizes that Bans wrapped in tree branches. She gets up and walks next to the girl. 

"Why do you travel with this Bandit? and also, my name is Elaine" She looks at her again with confusion. 

"We never really grew up with anyone to raise us. He took a lot of hits for me and I see of him as a savior and someone to look up too. He may be a jerk to other people but once you get to know him he's a really good person. I trust him with my life." 

She gives y/n a light smile and looks back at Ban. 

"Whats if you obtain immortality but nothing good ever happens. I've been here in my brother's place for the past 700 years and nothing good has ever happened to me."

Ban gets let go and the siblings look at her in shock.

"Seven hundred?" y/n asks 

"Must be boring as hell!" Ban says in an obnoxious tone. 

"Of course it was! what do you think 700 years of doing nothing has to offer huh?!" Elaine shouts sending him off the mountain again barely holding on. 

"your too much for me," Ban says hopping off Of the mountain wit ease. 

"I'll stay with you until he comes back!" y/n says happily. Elaine is suspicious at first but soon reads her heart and smiles to herself at her pure and truthful soul.

'Maybe if I stay she won't be sad anymore.'

"You truly do have a pure heart. Well, I wont stop you from staying. What's your name?" Elaine asks y/n with a happy smile that she returns.

"Its y/n. But you can call me n/n! I only let certain people call me that so you should feel special!" y/n says with a happy and matter of factly tone, and wearing a big and confident grin. 

Elaine looks at her with awe.

"So, what do you do for fun around here anyways?" 

"Well I don't really know all I do is sit around all day watching after the fountain. Do you have anything fun in mind?" Elaine asks with slight excitement in her voice grateful for y/n to stay with her.

"well there is one thing. Its called Catch the Bandit!! the goal is to catch the person your chasing. The person who you're getting chased by is called the 'The Catcher' and they need to catch the person that is 'The Bandit'. When you do catch them you have to say 'Caught you!'!" (It's basically Tag but more of a y/n and Ban version)

Elaine looks at y/n with a happy and excited smile while y/n returns a grin back at her. "So do you want to play?" y/n asks with hopeful eyes. 

"Yes of course! May I be the Bandit?" Elaine asks with a shimmer in her eye.

"Ok! then I'm the Catcher! I must warn you, Not even Ban can get away from me! No holding back!" 

The two girls run around for what feels like hours. Meanwhile, Ban is on his way back to the tree to check on his sister and the fairy saint.  The two girls calm down 20 rounds later. 

"Awe man!" Elaine says out of breath. 

"Told you I wasn't holding back."  y/n also says out of breath. "Sorry Elaine but I'm hungry, do you mind if I go pick some berries?" she asks while rubbing her growling stomach.

"Yes go ahead and help yourself." 

They smile at each other and part ways as y/n jumps down the tree by branch. The two of them didn't realize that Ban was sitting on a branch watching the two of them with a small smile. He jumps down in front Elaine startling her a bit.

"W-Woah! where did you come from?" She asks surprised. Ban puts a book in front of her about Ale and they talk away about things that Elaine had never been into up to now.

Meanwhile with y/n

y/n walks around as she picks the last of her berries for her little snack when she starts to see clouds roll in. She thinks it's just a storm but curiosity kills the cat, and she was one curious cat.

It starts to get dark and Ban and Elaine start to worry about why she's been gone for so long.  Ban keeps watching for y/n as Elaine reads and asks questions about the book she was reading until they see the clouds too.

The next thing y/n knows, she was fighting a giant red demon. 

She grabs her knives and prepares for a battle. 

(You have two of these. Like twin katanas but their twin knives)

At this point, Ban and Elaine saw the fire and were trying to say safe, They worried about you and Ban knowing you, knew that you would try and be the hero.

The two of them ran to find you scared of what could have happened to you.

"Y/N! where are you damnit!" 

On your end, Things weren't going as planned. You had managed to hurt the demon and slow it down, but nothing more than little scratches to it. You were only human so you couldn't do that much.

With blood on your aching body you made as many attacks as you could.

"Crimson Strike!" You swung your blades and hurt the demon some more. you heard running coming your way and you knew who it had to be.

"Y/N!" Ban and Elaine came running out of the forest into the open area the demon was in and Elaine immediately came to your side. 

"You idiot," Ban said trying to take on the demon. You were hurt severely, bleeding from your head and from multiple gashes on your body. 

"no n/n please dont die." Elaine cried

Those words pierced your heart and made you feel her pain. You really were on the brink of death and she knew that. Of course, Ban didn't want to believe it. 

You couldn't stand seeing Ban risk his life for you and Elaine. You knew how strong demons were and How many hearts they had so as soon Ban thought he won when he got out one of its hearts, it made your heart drop.

You saw Elaine try and help. Every instinct in your body told you to move, but you were so tired and in pain. 

In a flash Elaine fell to the floor, bleeding. The Ban after that.

you could hear Bans hurt voice. He thought he lost both of you. The demon wasn't attacking, still recovering from that last attack from Ban so he took the chance and laid Elaine next to you.

"Please, one of you drink this," Elaine says showing you two the cup. You look at Ban with a smile. 

"Please live on. One of you." I say declining the cup.

"n/n. no," the both of them say motioning it towards you. 

"you have such a pure heart you need to live on." Elaine says making you tear up. "my little n/n. Live on and defeat this demon. Be the savior you wanna be." Ban says making you just cry. 

"I refuse to let you two die. I refuse to hold you two back." You stumble up to your wounds mysteriously going away. You hadn't even drunk the cup so they two on the ground were surprised by this.

"H-how is-" Ban starts 

"the berries, the forest must-have known that she would save the forest. They gave her something called 'fifth Chance'" 

you turn around looking at her in confusion. 

"It's when you have five chances to live. You're not immortal but if you die, you come back in a couple of days five times." 

you smile to yourself. "I can't pick between my best friend sister figure and my brother."  You say as they look at you.

"So I'll save you both."

they dont have time to respond as you charge in cutting off its arms. Before the demon could react you throw your blades through its chest taking out two more hearts. You land back on the ground and look over to see elaine drinking the cup.

'so your love for her overpowered your greed.' you think to yourself 

'wait what?!' the second she had it all in her mouth she kissed Ban transferring it to him. 

'Her hearts so pure.' 

You didn't let that phase you but you did walk over to the two of them looking down at Bans healing body and Elaine's hurt one. 

Ban stands up and puts a hand on your shoulder. 

"Elaine, you can be dumb you know that." you chuckle a little with a sad smile.

Ban picks her up and you walk to the side and he lays her down. She hands you a seed and you look at her confused. "what's this for?" you ask confused. 

"It's the seed for a new tree." you smile to her and place the seed next to her so you dont lose it. You look at Ban with determined eyes and he returns the look as you two walk up to the demon. 

"We'll take care of you first asshole," Ban says with an enraged voice. 

"I took out two more hearts, we just need three more. You get one and I'll crush the others." You say looking at the demon and pointing up your blades in a fighting position. he nods and you begin your 'Dance with the Demon'.

You run up and cut off its arms again, "Now!" you yell telling him to grab a heart. you stand next to him and watch as the heart comes out. 

"I got the others!" you say throwing one of your blades to the demon then the other shortly after that. You see the demon screech telling you you get the hearts. The blades come back to you and you put them away soon returning to Elaine's side.

 'She was gone'

"Criminal Alias's: Bandit Ban and Bandit y/n" 

"For your own greed, you destroyed the Forest of the Fairy King and stole the water from the fountain of youth. You also killed the fairy saint guarding it!" The knight pointing at Ban 

"As for you, you killed the fairies threatening them so you could have 'Fifth Chance' along with helping Bandit Ban destroy the forest!" he says pointing at you.

"For these sins, you shall both suffer death! any last words?"

"Yeah~" Ban sings out like usual. "You should know the names of your criminals~" The knights look at him weirdly.
