"you're going to what?!" I look at King with natural eyes as Ban speaks for both of us.

"I just told you, Im going to revive Elaine with the help of the goddesses." I Hold on to his arm as he speaks since this topic is extremely touchy for me. he rubs my back and looks back at King.

"You were thinking of something like that?"

"A goddess is a goddess! that should be nothing for one! Now come at me like you mean it!" I back up and let them continue there training.

"and what about you y/n?" I look up as King dodges Bans attacks. "Your thinking about captain arent you." My head shoots up and I look at him with confusion. 

"What the hell do you mean?" I ask kind of annoyed. Ban looks at me waiting for an answer. "Well, I'm assuming you want to help Ban in his goal, but what are you going to do once you achieve it?" I scrunch my face up in annoyance.

"And yesterday, those marks on the captain. They traveled to you and you two went crazy. Is it possible that Captains a demo-"

"Shut up!!" I yell trying to run after him. Ban holds me back and tries to calm me down. "there's no way he's a monster like them..the monster that took everything we loved," I say trying to calm myself down.

"Meli said to us. 'Come with me!!' he said that to people who were outcasts! I was a shitty person living a shitty life!!" I take a breath and look back at him. Ban stays quiet knowing Im right in all of this.

Finally Ban steps in. "There are only two people in this world that would accept people like us and that's Elaine and Cap'n. he would never kill anyone no matter how shitty the person might be. A naive person like him couldn't possibly be a monster." 

I breathe easier now and look at King one last time.

"I have to continue training with Meli" before I go Ban gives me a tight embrace and I look at him with a reassuring smile. 

"I'll be fine"

 I go get something to drink and come back to see Meli waiting for me.

"Sorry about that I was talking to Ban and King," I say as he gets up preparing to continue. "It's ok! now let's continue." 

After some time of figuring out what different things I can do, and how some other set back and constraints two familiar faces walk out of the boar hat. 

"y/n!" 

I look over and see Jayda running towards me and Ethan slowly trailing behind. "hey guys!" they run over and Meli smiles at the two. 

"Thanks for letting us stay while we got better," Ethan says with a nervous smile

"Dont worry about it! you can travel with us as long as you would like too! any friend of y/n and Ban is a friend to the sins"  Jayda looks at him gratefully and then back at me.  "Im very grateful, but me and my brother are on a personal mission to hold back the holy knights." 

I look at her with widened eyes and walk up to her. "That's exactly what we're doing!" she smiles brightly. "even if that's so, the larger the group the riskier it is. I think we should still split up."

I understand where she coming from and I don't think i have a choice.

"I understand. at least wait until our next stop to leave" she nods and we continue some training. I spar with Ethan and Jayda a couple of time and we have some drinks to celebrate being 'reunited as friends'. 

It wasn't that bad of a day.

 Timeskip 

Over the course of a week, we met some kids pretending to be us which I thought was adorable, We actually found Gowther and We all said our goodbyes to the twins. We promised we would stay alive until the final battle. 

At the moment we're fighting this weird monster thang that apparently was human at one point.

"HOW THE HELL WAS THIS HUMAN" I yell in disbelief.

"Well to be more clear, It used to be a holy knight." Gowther points out. I make an 'O' shape with my mouth.

"That makes more sense." 

I walk over to Ban and lean on him. "So much woooork. But I guess we should try and take this thing out." I say stretching. 

I hear Ban chuckle a little and he ruffles my hair making me smile a little.

"ok! lets go!" I yell excitedly as we run to the 'Once holy knight' "We'll send em' flyin'!"  

Ban and Meli send in a barrage of attacks while I watch and look for an opening. He lifts his arm and I think I have a chance, then all of a sudden it swings it arm and sends them flying back. 

"can you go flying not over here!" I yell as Meli hits me and King catches us with his giant pillow. I feel something weird and look down to see Meli face down in my chest with no intention of getting up. 

"G-get off!" I yell pushing him with a blush on my face. he chuckles a little and gives me a Thumbs up. 

I roll my eyes and get back to fight the monster. 

"Fire Ball Projection!" I yell causing spheres of dark blue fire to form around me and going flying at the monster. I doesn't budge and I run up to it sending punches and Ban and Meli joins me. 

"This thing is a pain in the ass I can tell you that!"  I complain. 

Me and Ban jump back seeing that Meli is about to attack. "Get em' Meli!" I yell waiting in anticipation. "Don't let him get ya!" Ban adds on as we stand there.

The Monster grabs Meli and he hesitates for some reason causing me and Ban to freak out. Ban jumps forward and snatches him away.  

"Meli? what happened" I ask with worry.

 Before he gets time to answer Gowter makes a bow looking thing and shoots it with an arrow. Well, at least that's what it looked like.

"did you get it?" King asks 

"No, he is just trapped in my illusion."

We look at him with confusion, " That is my power 'invasion" 

"well, I guess that makes sense somewhat," I say completely still confused.

Ban steps forwards and I can tell what he's going to do. I hear a sudden voice and look around only to see the 'Monster' trying to talk. 

'It's still partly human'

"Wait Ban, that thing is still part human! you can't hurt it!" I plead scared for the lost soul that's still in that Thing. I put my arm on his wrist and he looks down at me.

"Don't tell me what to do." My eyes widen and he lashes a little whip and pulls out a heart. "Ban! stop!" I yell actually feeling hurt for the person. I see the human part of it and my heart nearly stops. 

Seeing a person who never wanted to be this suffering knowing we could have helped-

"Ban! what the hell is wrong with you! why did you kill him!" I yell filled with rage and hurt. This was a person I never knew and for all I know he could have wanted to kill us, but still.

He looks at me with no regret and raises a brow. 

"I ended his shitty life, that's all." I look at him with a death glare and he looks at me with his usual bored expression. 

"What about your life?!" I ask knowing he's immortal. 

"Yeah, mine is shitty too. And so is yours. I would if I could. Wouldnt you kill yourself if you coul-"

I look at him with surprise and widened eyes and I feel tears burn them threatening to come out. He knows how easily I could die if I wanted too. So why would he put that thought in my head!? 

What the hell has gotten into him!? 

"I-" 

I don't finish my sentence. I just turn around and Walk back to the tavern tears spilling out of my eyes as I try and not think of him.
